WWE Royal Rumble 2014 Results

From the butt-hurt crowd reactions to history-making Rumble performances, here are the results to the first pit stop to Wrestlemania XXX!

Kick-off Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship:
The New Age Outlaws defeated The Brotherhood (Cody Rhodes & Goldust) to become SIX TIME WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD!!!!

Daniel Bryan vs Bray Wyatt (w/ Luke Harper & Erick Rowan)
In what is called by many as the "Match of the Night". The fans were definitely on the side of one Daniel Bryan. In an amazing match between two wrestlers with great chemistry, Bray Wyatt defeats Daniel Bryan with the "Sister Abigail" and proves himself to be a legit competitor and that his actions do indeed speak louder than his eerie words.

Big Show vs Brock Lesnar
So much for "unloading the heavy artillery"! This match didn't even hit the five minute mark (OFFICIALLY). After so many chair shots before the bell rung and extreme lack of offense from Big Show, Brock was able to muscle up the near 450 pound man and decimate him with his patented "F5" maneuver for the win. After the match, Brock would continue to assault Big Show with two chairs.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Randy Orton (c) vs John Cena
In what seems to me one of the most "unanticipated" matches in WWE history, Cena and Orton's long time on-and-off rivalry come to a head for the top title in WWE. What got me in this match was the fact that the fans are still all out for Daniel Bryan and you can tell that they were obviously not into the match. "Steel City" wrestling got it honest, folks. After The Wyatt Family shows up to ringside and distract Cena, Orton pins Cena and retains the title. After the match, The Wyatt Family attacks John Cena, hinting a future match between Cena and Wyatt at Wrestlemania XXX.

My Reaction:
As if the Pittsburgh were already pissed off at the fact that Daniel Bryan wasn't in the Royal Rumble this year, they were even MORE pissed off at the fact that Batista won the whole thing. Uh-oh! This is NOT looking good for WWE.

Let me just say: Roman Reigns f**king KILLED it last night. If you count he and his cohorts Rollins and Ambrose eliminating Khali, he broke Kane's 13 year record. On top of that, he tied the record of the most eliminations at Survivor Series (with Aja Kong, at 4)!

To me, not putting Daniel Bryan in the Royal Rumble was really showing me that sometimes WWE is not doing this to satisfy us, the fans, but to keep their ratings. I mean, the least they could do is hear our cries for the wrestlers that WE want to succeed, so we want have to see the same guys week in and week out.

Even hardcore legend Mick Foley ranted about the Rumble match with this tweet:

To close this article off: WWE needs to listen to us more, read our tweets and Facebook posts more CLOSELY. I mean, what else do we have to do to make our voices heard?!

Magnus gets in the ring, thinking the unknown investor is Sting or is involved with Sting. He calls Sting out. Sting shows up, and knows nothing about the new investor. After some trash talk, Sting calls Magnus a paper champ and a sell-out yet again, and Magnus slaps Sting. Sting strikes back, and when Rockstar Spud and Ethan Carter III overpower him, Samoa Joe shows up to even the odds. Sting then reveals Samoa Joe is in his corner!

My WWE Royal Rumble Predictions

Kick-Off Show:
The Brotherhood (Cody Rhodes & Goldust) (c) vs New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James & "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) for WWE Tag Team Championship

After defeating The Brotherhood last week on Smackdown, we kick off the show with the FIVE TIME WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD!!!! They have a chance to make it 6, but they have to go though The Brotherhood to do so.

Winner: The Brotherhood retains for sure!

2014 Royal Rumble Match
Here are some known participants:
Batista
CM Punk (entering at #1)
Alberto Del Rio
Big E Langston
The Miz
R-Truth
Xavier Woods
Kofi Kingston
Cody Rhodes
Goldust
Rey Mysterio
Fandango
Roman Reigns
Seth Rollins
Dean Ambrose
Erick Rowan
Luke Harper
Damien Sandow
Jimmy Uso
Jey Uso
Jack Swagger
Antonio Cesaro
Wade Barrett

Winner: The possibilities in this match are endless, but I see either Punk or Batista winning the whole thing.

Big Show vs Brock Lesnar

Well, well, well! Brock Lesnar makes yet another rare appearance, but against someone who matches him in terms of strength and flat out power, Big Show. After several weeks of taunting (and Big Show throwing Brock around like he's nothing), they'll finally put their strength to the test to see who's really the stronger athlete. Get ready for unloading of the heavy artillery here, folks.

Winner:  Big Show all the way!

Randy Orton (c) vs John Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
(pinfall or submission only)

If his loss at TLC didn't wreck him enough, John Cena then runs into another obstacle of Orton attacking his father (for the second time, if you're a long time fan of the on-off Cena/Orton rivalry). Orton, on the other hand no longer has The Authority to whine to when it comes to defending his title. Also, he has a number of Superstars who are dying to get their hands on him.

Winner: Orton will probably retain.

Daniel Bryan vs Bray Wyatt

Besides the Royal Rumble match itself, I'm also excited about this match. Bryan and Wyatt have such great chemistry together and I KNOW that this match should be a great one. Also, this is the match where Daniel Bryan wants to shut Bray Wyatt up once and for all.

Winner: Daniel Bryan... YES! YES! YES!

TNA Genesis/Mega Drive Part 1 Results for Jan. 16th, 2014

Tonight's TNA show is in tribute to Mae Young.

Rockstar Spud introduces Dixie Carter, who shows up and introduces Magnus, who also shows up. Dixie gloats over her triumph over AJ Styles, then brings out Magnus. He hands AJ Styles's lighter-toned world title belt to Dixie, as she is the real champion of TNA for forever and a day. Dixie brings out the Bro Mans (Robbie E, Jesse Godderz, DJ Zema Ion), Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels and Kazarian) and Lei'D Tapa. Dixie thanks them for their role in helping Magnus become the undisputed champion of TNA, and she calls tonight "the genesis of Dixie Carter's TNA." She promises to lock the beginning of this new era in by having Ethan Carter III defeat Sting tonight. Ethan Carter III shows up, but as soon as he is about to speak, the arena goes dark. A light is focused on Sting, who is in the audience with a black baseball bat in his hand.

After the break, Sting questions if "Dixie Carter's TNA" is TNA's future, and tells Dixie Carter she's crossed the line, especially with the "family emergency" that she used to get Kurt Angle out of the arena last week. Sting decrees that TNA is now a house divided, and a house divided cannot stand. Before this house comes crashing down, he and the faces of the locker room are fighting back, and that's exactly what they do! Both the faces and heels brawl, and the heels are tossed out of the ring. Sting takes the baseball bat to Ethan Carter III!

Samoa Joe and the good guys are ready to fight...so Rockstar Spud makes a 12-man tag match against Dixie's helpers that starts right now!

The good guys (Samoa Joe, ODB, "Cowboy" James Storm, Gunner, Joseph Park and Eric Young) beat the bad guys (Christopher Daniels, Kazarian, Robbie E, DJ Zema Ion, Jesse Godderz, Lei'D Tapa) after Joe locks the rear naked choke on Daniels.

Kurt Angle is looking for Dixie Carter...and he's not happy...

Chris Sabin wants to know from Velvet Sky why she's talking to Austin Aries...who shows up promptly to say he's told Velvet she doesn't have to deal with Sabin's crap. Aries challenges Sabin for the X Division title, with Velvet Sky out of the equation and in a cage at ringside. Sabin doesn't want to do it, but Velvet puts her foot down and accepts the stipulation...and says that if Sabin loses the title, he also loses her!

Kurt Angle is still looking for Dixie Carter...

Samuel Shaw is thanked by a random guy in the back for his debut match, then told to forget about making Christy Hemme his. Samuel Shaw beats the guy's ass.

Ethan Carter III chats with Magnus.

Bully Ray beats Mr. Anderson in a no-disqualification match as Anderson tries to light a table on fire.

Kurt Angle confronts Al Snow, but can't get answers out of him.

Kurt Angle shows up and wants answers from Dixie Carter. Dixie shows up and tries to lie her way out of it, but Kurt Angle won't have any of it, especially when she insults his intelligence. Angle says that when he beats Bobby Roode in his match tonight, he's rooting for Sting from ringside. Dixie postpones Angle vs. Roode for one week, and says that if anyone interrupts Sting vs Ethan Carter III, they'll get fired. Angle dares Dixie to fire him, as he plans to do the right thing. Dixie sics security on him, asking them to remove the "unstable" Angle. Angle is suddenly attacked from behind by Bobby Roode to make that easier.

Jeremy Borash interviews Madison Rayne, but Gail Kim and Lei'D Tapa attack Madison!

Madison Rayne beats Gail Kim to win the TNA Knockouts Championship!

Sting promises to beat Ethan Carter III tonight.

Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards - the American Wolves - will be here in TNA next week! A new TNA investor has signed their contracts, and Dixie Carter is peeved they were signed behind her back!

Rockstar Spud is the special guest referee for Sting vs Ethan Carter III!

Ethan Carter III beats Sting thanks to Magnus, who become the second ref and fast counts Sting. Sting then challenges Magnus to a fight.

Sting calls Magnus a disgrace and a cancer to TNA. He wants a shot at the world title, but Magnus brings up his forfeiture at any other world title shots at Slammiversary XI, and refuses. Sting taunts Magnus as he asks him if he wants to be king of the jungle, and Magnus then poses a wager, since Sting's contract is up for an extension. If Sting wins, he's world champ...but if Sting loses, he's out of TNA!

Brad Maddox is thanked by 3MB for their 3-on-2 handicap match, but it turns out they're only in it because the whole locker room finds them annoying.

Bad News Barrett tells us he's in the Royal Rumble match...then Ryback walks around the ring again.

The Prime Time Players (Darren Young and Titus O'Neil) beat 3MB (Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre, Jinder Mahal) in a 3-on-2 handicap match. 3MB want a rematch, saying the outcome wasn't fair, but Brad Maddox puts them in a six-man tag match against Los Matadores (Fernando, Diego, El Torito) instead!

WWE Old School RAW Results for January 6th, 2013

Ric Flair starts the show off. As he psyches the crowd up, Randy Orton shows up. He has respect for Flair, but the night's about him. He's ticked off that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have made the rematch for both titles between him and John Cena at Royal Rumble, and wants them to reverse this decision as he has already proven he is "the man." Flair thinks otherwise, saying all he's doing about this is crying and whining and says Orton should fight Cena again. Orton calls Flair the most overrated wrestler in history, and when Orton tells Flair to leave the ring, Flair doesn't budge, and tells Orton he's never outgrown his immature punk attitude - the same one he had when Flair and Triple H took him in ten years ago. Orton wants to go old-school on Flair's ass, but John Cena shows up to defend Ric Flair. When he tells Orton to fight him right now, Orton retreats.

It's time for Piper's Pit! "Rowdy" Roddy Piper's guest tonight are The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns). They show Piper disrespect, but Piper shrugs it off before saying that CM Punk is the only one who can match him on the microphone. Rollins thinks Piper is jealous towards Ambrose over his United States title reign, but Piper says Ambrose and Rollins can't beat Punk one-on-one. He asks Roman Reigns whether he would be the better Shield member if he beat Punk tonight. The Shield take offense and are about to pummel him when CM Punk and The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) show up to clean house!

The Great Khali beats Damien Sandow, even though Sandow's foot was on the bottom rope. Sandow gets the Cobra Clutch when he gets fresh with Sgt. Slaughter. Afterwards, Slaughter, Khali and Ranjin Singh dance in the ring.

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman show up. Heyman verbally trashes the Legends, saying old-school is really when one man reigns supreme. Heyman then says Lesnar will eventually reign supreme in WWE, with Mark Henry being but the first example. Mark Henry shows up, and he and Lesnar brawl until Lesnar breaks Henry's arm with the Kimura Lock. As Lesnar and Heyman leave, Big Show shows up. He and Lesnar take it to the ring, but Lesnar retreats...almost. Heyman and Lesnar go for a sneak attack, but it fails miserably when Big Show - both figuratively and literally - tosses Lesnar like a rag doll. Lesnar is absolutely livid and Heyman has to hold Lesnar back.

Bobby Roode shows up and asks Angle if he knows he hasn't got what it takes anymore, before wanting Angle to admit Roode is the better man. Angle challenges him to another match. Roode thinks it's a joke and declines on the grounds that he's beaten him every time they've met since December...but then accepts if something is put on the line. If Roode wins, Angle cannot accept a TNA Hall of Fame induction. Angle accepts for Genesis, and wants the match in a steel cage. Roode angrily accepts, then both men fight until the refs break it up. Rockstar Spud shows and tells both men to find a tag team partner, as they are now both in a tag team match against each other later tonight.

Eric Young's experiment with Joseph Park continues with Park taking on Bully Ray. Bully tells Park it's not in his best interest to get in the ring with him tonight.

The coronation of Magnus is about to being. After words by Rockstar Spud and Ethan Carter III, Dixie Carter comes out to play master of ceremonies. She introduces Magnus, who shows up in a suit. He thanks Ethan, Spud and Dixie before showing his true colors. All of a sudden, Gunner shows up with his Feast or Fired briefcase which gives him a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Gunnar intends to cash in, but gets beat up by Rockstar Spud and Ethan Carter III. Before Magnus can finish him off, AJ Styles shows up with his world title belt. It's soon just him and Magnus in the ring, and Styles says he's here because Dixie Carter screwed the fans over. He calls Magnus a farce, then challenges him to a match where the winner is the undisputed TNA champ. Much to Dixie's chagrin, Magnus goes against her and accepts the match for next week after AJ Styles says the challenge will go with him and that Magnus will doubt himself as a world champ if he declines.
