Gettin' RAW - Monday Night RAW recap for February 29, 2016

JUST A HEADS UP: No videos for this week. I know. I need to get better on these blogs. Meanwhile, enjoy the rest of the posts that I have set up for the week of 2/29-3/5/16!!!

Triple H makes his appearance to start tonight's show. Triple H says only few have it, and the rest bow down to it. That "it" is authority, and he plays to the people's fear to being destroyed by authority in order to know their place in life. He says that Roman should have known his place, as challenging and disrespecting him has led him to sitting at home breathing through his mouth. All of a sudden, Dean Ambrose shows up. He says he just got off the phone with Roman Reigns, and says that Roman told him he's coming for Triple H. Ambrose said he wanted to talk to him Triple H last week, but all the craziness from last week put a stop to that. Ambrose wants to know who Triple H wanted to see - or not see - win the Triple Threat match at Fastlane. Triple H says he didn't see Ambrose winning, but Ambrose asks if Triple H can see him now. Triple H is convinced Ambrose is legitimately crazy, and that Triple H is smart enough not to get in the ring with someone like him because - according to Ambrose - Triple H doesn't think he can beat him. Ambrose then challenges Triple H to a match tonight for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Triple H says he's the authority figure around here, but he says he'll think about it and give him an answer by the end of the night. Ambrose says he has other things to do, and Triple H says he's right, because Ambrose is going up against Alberto Del Rio tonight in an attempt to teach him what authority is.

Charlotte watches from ringside for the next match.

Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks to determine a #1 contender for the WWE Divas Championship ends with both women's shoulders down on the mat after Sasha Banks hits a Sunset Flip on Becky. Becky is on top of Sasha, but since all four shoulders were down, this match is a draw.

The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman) appears. Bray thinks he is either insane or that his mind is key to saving the entire world. He asks the WWE Universe to take his hand and join him.

The Miz quickly beats Dolph Ziggler.

Stephanie McMahon shows up to accept the Vincent J. McMahon Legacy of Excellence Award as she intended to last week. She says that Shane McMahon isn't here tonight, and won't be after The Undertaker beats him at WrestleMania 32. She then tries to recite her speech for the award, but everyone keeps booing her and chanting for Shane. Stephanie McMahon finally snaps on the WWE Universe, ticked off with Shane for his actions last week and calling him a regular backstabber. She says it eats Shane alive that she wields power and that she's married to Triple H, and that the thought of working for Shane makes her want to vomit. She hopes that The Undertaker will decimate Shane and force everyone to bow down to her and Triple H.

The League of Nations (Sheamus and Rusev) beat The Lucha Dragons (Sin Cara and Kalisto) with a distraction from Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio attacks Kalisto after the match.

Renee Young interviews Natalya...and it's a plug for Subway.

WWE has surpassed 10 million subscribers on YouTube.

Ryback, now re-focused on going solo, destroys Adam Rose.

Before the next match, The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) say they're successful because they're a brotherhood. They say they're the greatest three-man team in history and will fight anyone who says otherwise. As they talk about how they go together like other great teams (like Sonic and Tails), Chris Jericho's entrance stops them.

Chris Jericho and AJ Styles beats The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) after Jericho turns a Trouble In Paradise into the Walls of Jericho. After the match, AJ Styles and Chris Jericho make it clear that "Y2AJ" is a thing and challenge The New Day to a match for the tag team titles next week.

Todd Chrisley of Chrisley Knows Best is in the front row with his youngest son.

Vince McMahon shows up. He doesn't like the idea of his son Shane McMahon running the show, and implies that he would ruin everything. He says it will never happen, and that it would take a miracle for Shane to beat The Undertaker. He loves Shane enough to teach him a lesson he'll never, ever forget, and introduces his "implement of destruction," The Undertaker. 'Taker shows up. He puts his hand on Vince's neck and tells him "You know what will happen when the door shuts behind me at WrestleMania...but the blood of your son is gonna be on your hands, not mine." 'Taker leaves. Vince says Shane has not only lost the match, but also his inheritance, which will all go to Stephanie. He even goes so far as to disown and renounce Shane as his son.

Bubba Ray Dudley beats Jey Uso thanks to the interference attempt from D-Von Dudley.

Goldust runs into R-Truth, who tells him that Golden Truth isn't going to happen. Goldust just walks away.

Country singer Randy Houser is in the front row tonight.

Big Show beats Kevin Owens after knocking him off the top rope.

Renee Young interviews Brie Bella. As Brie talks about how her family is doing, Lana shows up and makes fun of her life as of right now. Brie tells Lana to go back to her cave.

Naomi beats Brie Bella with the Slay-o-mission thanks to some help from Tamina. After the match, Lana shows up and slow claps, mocking Brie.

The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes, Buddy Roberts, Terry Gordy, Jimmy Garvin) are the next inductees to be announced for the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2016.

As Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch argue over who could have won, Charlotte shows up and says they have one more opportunity on SmackDown to decide who will be #1 contender to the Divas title. Charlotte then tells them they'll both lose regardless.

Next week: Chris Jericho and AJ Styles vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) for the WWE Tag Team Championships! Shane McMahon also makes an appearance!

Dean Ambrose vs. Alberto Del Rio ends when Triple H shows up and sics The League of Nations (Sheamus, Del Rio, Rusev, King Barrett) on him. Triple H tells Dean he should know that he can never win against The Authority, which causes Dean Ambrose to throw punches at Triple H until he gets hit with a Pedigree. Triple H tells him he has his championship match, and as he leaves the ring, Dean Ambrose thanks Triple H through the microphone. Triple H then returns to the ring to do even more damage to Ambrose, and officials have to pull him off of Ambrose.

Gettin' RAW - Monday Night RAW recap for February 22, 2016

It is announced on the pre-show that Brock Lesnar attacked Dean Ambrose shortly after he arrived in the arena before the show. Lesnar slams Ambrose into a nearby limousine a few times before walking away. Dean Ambrose is taken away in an ambulance.

Renee Young interviews Dolph Ziggler, who admits that Kevin Owens got the better of him at Fastlane. He promises to put the WWE Intercontinental Championship around his waist at WrestleMania 32. The Miz shows up and says Renee Young should be asking about his WrestleMania plans, since he headlined it five years ago. Dolph Ziggler tells him that was five years ago, and that everything he's done since then has been largely forgotten. After asking him what he's done lately, Ziggler tells Miz that if he thinks he deserves a shot at the Intercontinental Championship, then he himself doesn't deserve to be a WWE Superstar.

The Vincent J. McMahon Legacy of Excellence Award can be see in the center of the ring at the beginning of the show.

Vince McMahon shows up to present the Vincent J. McMahon Legacy of Excellence Award. Vince McMahon talks about his father, then awards the trophy to his daughter, Stephanie McMahon, who shows up to accept it. Vince tells her she was born for this business and embodies all the attributes of his father. As she thanks Triple H for making everything possible, Shane McMahon appears in the WWE for the first time in years. Vince tries to hug him and shake his hand, but Shane stops him, saying that this award is why he's here and that Stephanie isn't deserving of it. Stephanie tells Shane he doesn't know what he's talking about, especially when it comes to running a business like WWE, but Shane tells her that she and Triple H have run the company into the ground. Stephanie tells him to get out, but Shane tells her and Vince that Vince messed up big time a couple of years and he had to save his bacon. In the process, he was able to take some time off and save his place in line. As for Stephanie's rise atop the company ladder in WWE, Shane let it happen. Stephanie wants to know if this is true, and Vince says there's some truth to it. Shane then says it's all true, and at the time...it was best for business. Shane then tells Steph to leave the ring. Stephanie tells Shane she'll never forgive him. Vince tries to cut him a check, thinking it's about money, but Shane says it's not about money, it's about the McMahon legacy...and that he wants control of Monday Night Raw. Vince says if he controls Raw, he controls the entire company, and that he can't just pick up where he left off now that WWE is a publicly traded company. But he cuts him a deal: he'll give Shane what he wants if he has one match...one night...against an opponent of Vince's choosing. If he wins, he gets what he wants. If he loses, Vince wants everything in Shane's lockbox so that Shane can't hold anything over his head ever again. Shane agrees, and Vince names the time and the place: WrestleMania 32. The opponent of Vince's choice is The Undertaker...and it will be Hell in a Cell.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) beat Neville and The Lucha Dragons (Sin Cara and Kalisto) after Kofi grabs at Sin Cara's mask and pulls it off a bit, leading to a distraction that allows him to hit Trouble in Paradise.

Roman Reigns is concerned about Dean Ambrose. All he knows is that they're running tests on him. As for WrestleMania 32, it's just him and Triple H now, and he likes his odds. He promises to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship right then and there.

Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar show up. Heyman begins by putting Lesnar on a pedestal, and gets us up to speed on what happened at Fastlane before showing us that video of Lesnar decimating Dean Ambrose before the show. Heyman says nothing can protect Ambrose from Lesnar, who he says should be in the main event at WrestleMania 32. After Heyman says that Lesnar is looking for a new WrestleMania opponent, the ambulance is seen on the TitanTron returning to the arena...and out comes Dean Ambrose, still in the neck brace and still extremely weak from the beating Lesnar gave him. He drags himself towards the ring. Lesnar meets him outside, then leaves him alone. Ambrose then gets the mic and tells Lesnar to kiss his ass and that he's indestructible. He then says he wants Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32 in a no-holds-barred street fight. Lesnar then returns and hits Ambrose with an F5 outside the ring. Heyman then tells Ambrose his client accepts his challenge.

Before the next match, The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) show up and tell The Usos they're the most decorated tag team in WWE history, not a nostalgia act, and that their legacy is definied by their tag team title reigns, not the tables, which they say we will never see again. D-Von then tells The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) that Rikishi should have taught them respect instead of buying thongs over and over again. The Usos are about to argue with them when The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor) attack them from behind, getting their match underway.

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) quickly beat The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor). The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von) approach the ring after the match, then back away.

University of Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh is in the crowd tonight.

Chris Jericho shows up. He talks about AJ Styles and their three matches including their last one at Fastlane. He has a few more things he wants to say to AJ Styles, so he calls him out. AJ Styles shows up. Jericho admits AJ beat him, then congratulates him for proving that he belongs in the WWE. He calls AJ "phenomenal," then he and AJ shake hands. Suddenly, The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Adam Rose, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) show up and act sarcastic and unimpressed about the whole thing. They say nobody is buying this and tell them to get out of the ring as they are a real time. Jericho calls The Social Outcasts' bluff and challenges them right now.

Chris Jericho and AJ Styles beat The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater and Curtis Axel) with the Walls of Jericho on Axel as AJ Styles takes down the rest of The Social Outcasts (Slater, Bo Dallas, Adam Rose).

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon talk backstage. They call Shane McMahon a failure, and that the current situation will be no different. Meanwhile, they have a surprise in store for Roman Reigns...

Stephanie McMahon tells Roman Reigns he has a match with Sheamus, and makes fun of his friendship with Dean Ambrose.

Goldust apologizes to R-Truth for what happened last night with a chocolate frosted yellow cake saying "I'm sorry." He almost gets R-Truth to team up with him, but Truth pushes the cake into his face instead.

The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan) beat Ryback, Kane and The Big Show after Ryback walks out on his teammates.

Ryback says he left the match because he had nothing to prove in the rematch from Fastlane, and that he's done being part of tag teams. He wants to go solo again and break the glass ceiling there, and tells Big Show and Kane that it's nothing personal. He wants the spotlight to be on him.

Sasha Banks beats Naomi with the Banks Statement after Becky Lynch takes out Tamina. After the match, Charlotte shows up wearing a top that looks similar to Brie Bella's. She mocks both Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks, and tries to drive a wedge between them as she tries to figure which of them will get a title shot against her at WrestleMania 32.

Stephanie McMahon tells her father Vince McMahon that she doesn't want to work for her brother Shane McMahon. Vince tells her that with this calculated risk he's set up, she won't have to.

The Godfather is the next inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2016. He will be inducted into the Hall by The Acolytes Protection Agency (JBL and Ron Simmons).

Triple H will be on SmackDown this Thursday night to address Roman Reigns!

Roman Reigns vs. Sheamus ends when Triple H shows up, this time in a T-shirt, blue jeans, boots and taped up hands. Roman Reigns and Triple H brawl. Triple H ends up winning this brawl by a long shot by ramming Roman Reigns into the commentary table multiple times to the point that Roman Reigns is bleeding from his nose and hitting him with a Pedigree on the steel steps.

SmackDown Hotel! - Thursday Night SmackDown recap for February 11, 2016

Chris Jericho starts tonight's show. He is excited to have his rematch at AJ Styles tonight. He respects him, but he doesn't like him. He wants to know yet again if AJ Styles is great, and after mentioning his WrestleMania match with Shawn Michaels in 2008, he calls Styles out. Styles shows up. This starts the rematch...almost. The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Adam Rose, Curtis Axel) show up before it can begin. They say that Bo is still laying down tracks in the studio, then poke fun at AJ Styles and call themselves "The Phenomenal Three" before making fun of Jericho. As Axel and Rose argue over whether to call themselves "Axl Rose" or "The Social Housecats," Jericho tells them to shut up, and this eventually leads to a brawl where Jericho and Styles toss the Outcasts out of the ring. Jericho says that he and Styles will fight each other, but for now, they fight the Outcasts.

AJ Styles and Chris Jericho beat The Social Outcasts (Curtis Axel and Adam Rose). After the match, Styles and Jericho stare down, then the ref lifts their arms in victory just before Jericho hits Styles with a Codebreaker.

Next week on SmackDown: Brock Lesnar returns!

The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) are in the ring. They are tired of a lot of things, one of which is hearing about Daniel Bryan. They say that they're not a nostalgia act, and that they're here to add to their legacy. Bubba Ray tells the stage hands to get rid of the tables around the ring, saying this will be the last time we'll see them again. They say that tables didn't win nine tag team titles; they did. They want the WWE Universe to cheer for them, not the tables. Bubba Ray then tells D-Von to get the last table - the one in the ring - and get it out of the ring. They do.

Becky Lynch guests on commentary for the next match.

Sasha Banks beats Naomi with the Banks Statement after beating up Tamina for attacking Becky Lynch.

Ziggler knows they've got one more match, and that it's going to end with him super kicking Owens' face off.

The show begins with Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar. Heyman insists that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon concocted a conspiracy to remove him from the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture, but have failed. Last week, Stephanie did what was "beast" for business by making "brother vs. brother vs. beast" at Fastlane with Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar, with the winner taking on Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 32, and promises Lesnar will conquer both Fastlane and WrestleMania 32. Heyman then makes fun of Dean Ambrose, calling him a "nutjob," before Ambrose himself shows up. Ambrose says he may look crazy, but he's not stupid and he's not scared of Lesnar. He respects Lesnar, but he wants the title, and he'll fight Lesnar and Reigns for it. Ambrose knows full well what he's in for, but he says he will still find a way to win. He then leaves the ring.

Also, Lilian Garcia accidentally botches The Usos' introduction, saying they are Grammy Award winners and not Slammy Award winners.

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) beat The Social Outcasts (Curtis Axel and Adam Rose).

It's time for Miz TV. Tonight's guest is AJ Styles. After a tale about how AJ Styles made it in high school football before moving on to wrestling, and recapping what AJ Styles has done in WWE as of late, he wonders where AJ Styles will go from here. He then says that AJ Styles reminds him of Daniel Bryan, who he took under his own wing and guided to greatness, and wants to become AJ's mentor. All the while, Miz refuses to hand the microphone over to AJ Styles. As the crowd boos, The Miz says that AJ Styles will fail if he continues to listen to the WWE Universe. When Miz says Styles has no chance in hell of succeeding without him, AJ Styles gets up and proceeds to beat him up for implying he is a rookie, forcing Miz to retreat.

WWE celebrates the career of Mark Henry as part of Black History Month.

Before the next match, Sasha Banks says she's back on her own terms, and that she's tired of waiting for her turn. She is officially on her own and is no longer part of Team BAD with Naomi and Tamina. Gettin' RAW - Monday Night RAW recap for January 25, 2016

Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon start off tonight's show. Vince claims that his family has officially broken Roman Reigns in half, and that when the McMahon family does that to someone, they stay that way. Vince then makes a confession: he enjoys watching the miseries and misfortunes of others (which we've known all along). Stephanie says she had us eating from the palm of her hands, as Triple H surprised everyone last night and that nobody can hold a candle to him. She then introduces Triple H, who shows up in the suit and tie while wearing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship around his waist. Triple H calls Roman Reigns one of the most awesome athletes he's seen, but he's not as good as him. He says that Roman is cocky and disrespectful towards Vince, and says Vince might as well be God, and that he will be damned if Roman Reigns disrespects him. He then makes it clear that he's not done yet and that his time has not yet passed, and that he wants to and will be WWE World Heavyweight Champion for as long as the locker room learns some respect. He says that Roman Reigns doesn't deserve the title. Heath tells Flo Rida to sit there and not make him mad after what happened in their last encounter, but Bo Dallas challenges him to get into the ring and face the four of them. Slater then proposes a rap battle between Flo Rida...and Bo Rida. Flo Rida easily wins it...by sicking The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) on them.

After high-fiving Pat Patterson, he finally heads to the gorilla position and goes through the curtains to hit the ring. Gettin' RAW - Monday Night RAW recap for November 30, 2015

During the pre-show, Becky Lynch runs into Paige, and Paige tries to drive a wedge between her and Charlotte. Becky Lynch seems to be having none of it.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) start off the show as confetti flies around the arena. Big E takes a Terrible Towel and desecrates it in front of the Pittsburgh crowd by wiping his armpits with it before using it to blow his nose. They then reveal what they're celebrating: Sheamus becoming the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Sheamus shows up in a suit and tie with the title around his waist, and proceeds to make fun of the crowd before crediting Triple H and Stephanie McMahon with his recent success. He then thanks the man he claims made it all possible: Roman Reigns. Sheamus and The New Day celebrate, and make fun of Roman Reigns for falling victim to the Brogue Kick at Survivor Series. Sheamus then declares that "Sheamus 5:15 just said I just kicked your arse!" As The New Day leave and Sheamus celebrates some more in the ring, Sheamus is suddenly laid out with a Superman Punch out of nowhere by Roman Reigns, who then runs off with the WWE World Heavyweight title.

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso), Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns - still carrying the WWE World Heavyweight Championship - are confronted by Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, who want the championship back. Roman hands it back to them, but tells them that in two weeks' time, he's taking it back. Triple H then says that he has just talked with Sheamus, who has decided not to wait until TLC to defend the title and has opted instead to defend it tonight. Roman is game, and the match is one, but Stephanie McMahon says there is a caveat: if Roman does not beat Sheamus in five minutes and fifteen minutes, he doesn't win the title.

Dolph Ziggler beats Tyler Breeze.

It's time for Miz TV. Tonight's guests are Rusev and Lana, who are now back together and engaged. Rusev says nobody cared about him while he was injured, except for one person...Lana, who is now engaged to Rusev in real life. She appears for the first time since her recent injury. The Miz celebrates the happy couple, and Miz gets a glare for accidentally mentioning Summer Rae. Lana says she and Rusev patched everything up when he proposed to her, and that they never went all the way with Dolph Ziggler and Summer Rae, respectively. After they kiss again, Ryback suddenly appears. He says that the WWE Universe is tired of all this garbage, and that Ziggler actually did go all the way. Ryback then declares it's feeding time. This starts a match.

Ryback beats Rusev by count-out when he sends Rusev into the steps and accidentally smacks them into Lana's thigh. Rusev is not thrilled with this turn of events and blames it on Ryback, believing that this was not an accident.

Dean Ambrose meets with Triple H, who congratulates him on winning the triple threat to become #1 contender for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. He tells Ambrose that if Roman Reigns doesn't win the title in five minutes and fifteen seconds, not only does Roman Reigns lose his title opportunity, so does Ambrose. Triple H explains it away by saying he is doing this to drill into Roman's head that the choices he makes will also affect his friends.

The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) are in the ring. The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman) have had them on the ropes as of late, and that they added insult to injury by putting them through tables. However, they didn't get the job done, according to Bubba Ray, and now they have put not just targets on their backs, but their names on four tables...literally. After D-Von says that The Wyatt Family has failed to remember the Dudley Boyz Commandments, Bubba Ray challenges the Wyatts to a match at TLC. Suddenly, the Family appears, and Bray Wyatt accepts the challenge, but tells the Dudleys that they may be in over their head. He then says that life is defined the opportunities you take and the opportunities you make, and introduces us to someone who knows when to take an opportunity: the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Sheamus, who shows up and makes light of how he decimated Roman Reigns last night, comparing it to "Brutus stabbing Caesar." Triple H and Stephanie McMahon then put Sheamus on a pedestal, saying he doesn't look stupid and instead looks like a WWE champion. Then, Roman Reigns shows up and gets straight down to business, demanding he wants his rematch for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tonight. Stephanie says that won't happen because he Speared Triple H, and Roman immediately challenges Triple H's manhood for having her speak for him. The two of them then stare down, then HHH tells him he'll get his rematch when he says he'll get it, "which sure as hell won't be tonight." Suddenly, Reigns is kicked in the head from behind by...Rusev. Sheamus then Brogue Kicks Reigns. Rusev has returned, and he and Sheamus both join Triple H and Stephanie at the entrance ramp. Gettin' RAW - Monday Night RAW recap for November 2, 2015

During the pre-show, The Miz tries to help Cesaro by referring him to an agency that will help him from being forgotten. Not surprisingly, Cesaro then challenges him to a match, and the two men get verbally heated with each other.

Roman Reigns starts the show. He admits that Seth Rollins is good...at all the wrong things. However, Reigns thinks that Rollins' time as World Heavyweight Champion is running out, as nothing can stop him from beating Rollins. Suddenly, Rollins shows up and admits Reigns is good, too, but in the end, Reigns still lost at WrestleMania 31 and lost out on the title as Rollins took the title. Reigns then dares Rollins to come into the ring and prove he's a real man. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon show up and ask if the WWE Universe want the match to be official and for the World Heavyweight Championship. They want it, and HHH and Stephanie make it so...for Survivor Series. They do, however, make a traditional five-on-five Survivor Series match between Team Rollins and Team Reigns. They tell both men to pick their allies carefully.

Tyler Breeze shows up during Dolph Ziggler vs. Kevin Owens. He and Summer Rae sit in the "VIP area" at ringside.

Kevin Owens beats Dolph Ziggler after the distraction from Tyler Breeze. After the match, Breeze poses with a downed Ziggler, who attacks Breeze only to eat a Beauty Shot. Ziggler is taken down again, and Breeze continues to pose, this time with Summer Rae.

We look back at the history of Survivor Series.

Renee Young interviews Becky Lynch, who can't wait to get her hands on Paige tonight. Brie Bella shows up and tells Becky that she's the one who's going to take on Charlotte for the Divas Championship, and not her "wacky assistant." The two of them almost verbally come to blows.

Cesaro beats The Miz with the Sharpshooter as the Stardust Section - Stardust, Konnor and Viktor - look on from the front row.

The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman) show up. He wants to give us "the rotting body of The Undertaker and the scorched body of Kane," but it's not the bodies that they wanted...it's their souls. He says a body is temporary, but the soul is forever unless it is consumed by a higher power. Bray considers himself that higher power, and he uses the souls of 'Taker and Kane to summon fire and lightning to unleash devastation. We then see an interesting video package of Kane and The Undertaker through the years, before Bray tells us to follow the buzzards.

We see a video package of The Lucha Dragons (Sin Cara and Kalisto) before the next match.

Jojo interviews Sasha Banks. Banks says there's no pressure to deliver, as she always delivers. She says she's The Boss around here, and she's out for the Divas Championship as she tells Charlotte to keep one eye open.

Paige beats Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks and Brie Bella in a Fatal Four-Way Match to become the new #1 contender to the WWE Divas Championship. After the match, Byron Saxton interviews Paige, who calls everyone else in the match "losers," as well as anybody who roots for them. She says that Charlotte will meet the same fate at Survivor Series when she takes the Divas title again.

We look back at Survivor Series 2014, when Team Cena beat Team Authority to take Triple H and Stephanie McMahon out of power.

Renee Young interviews Charlotte, who says that she is just as unscrupulous as Paige and that she's not here just because she's Ric Flair's daughter. She says Paige will learn the hard way that she earned the Divas title the hard way at Survivor Series.

Before the next match, The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) have some wordplay with the word "survivor" before saying they will take Team Rollins to victory.

The members of Team Reigns are revealed: the returning Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso, the latter of whom is now back after a leg injury at WrestleMania 31), Ryback and Dean Ambrose.

Team Reigns (Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Ryback, Dean Ambrose) beat Team Rollins (Seth Rollins, Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods, Kevin Owens) by disqualification in a Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series match after Rollins hits Ambrose with a chair. Match of the Day - 10/9/2015: Sasha Banks vs. Bayley vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte!

Today's Match of the Day is the incredible Fatal Four Way Match for the NXT Women's Championship of  Sasha Banks vs. Bayley vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte! This match took place at NXT TakeOver: Rival, and this one of the first strings of classic matches that these four ladies would have in the next couple of months (Bayley vs. Sasha I and II, anybody?! :D). Gonna shorten this up in one sentence: this was the Match of the Night. There. I said it.

Friday, September 18, 2015

Match of the Day - 9/18: Sasha Banks vs. Bayley!

See? Since I did Ivelisse as my “Wrestler of the Day”, I figured that I would add a women’s wrestling match into the mix. Don’t get me wrong, though. It will not be like this every day. So, here it is! Today’s Match of the Day goes to Sasha Banks vs. Bayley for the NXT Women’s Championship. This match took place at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn on August 22nd, 2015 and was one of the matches in the double main event. This match really took me by surprise, and what really took the cake for me is the undeniable chemistry between these two. But, what else can you expect out of these girls? Every time these two (and other NXT Divas like Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Emma) get into the ring, it’s like poetry in motion. They work together all the time, so they are more than likely going to produce better matches. Another thing that took the cake for me was the curtain call of The Four Horsewomen (Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, and Bayley) after the match.

What makes things more incredible is that these two women are going to compete in the first Diva’s Iron Man Match in WWE history for the NXT Women’s Championship in the MAIN EVENT of NXT TakeOver on October 7th, 2015. It just doesn’t get better than this!
Enjoy this one, folks. I promise you’re going to love it.

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon arrive to start the show. The Connor's Cure Foundation logo is on the top of the entrance ramp. Also, the top and bottom ropes of the ring are white, and the middle ropes are yellow. They announce that the next generation of WWE stars in NXT will take the world by storm, and they will be led by one man, who is the man: Seth Rollins, whom Triple H promises will successfully defend both the WWE United States Championship and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, beat both John Cena and Sting and cement his legacy forever. Stephanie McMahon then announces the Divas title match tonight between Charlotte and Divas Champion Nikki Bella. Triple H then announces for the first time in history, Sting will compete right here on Raw when he goes one-on-one with Big Show. Triple H asks the audience if they're ready, and Stephanie McMahon announces that tonight's first match is a match for the WWE Tag Team Championships...and it's next. When The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) show up, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon dance with them during their entrance.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) retain the WWE Tag Team Championships against The Prime Time Players (Darren Young and Titus O'Neil) and go on to defend them against The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) at Night of Champions, thanks to the distraction from Xavier Woods. The Dudleys show up at the top of the entrance ramp, and talk trash from there while The New Day argue with them from the ring.

He can't wait for Big Show to knock Sting out, but Rollins is worried about John Cena and Sheamus. Triple H says that Rollins just solved his own problems, as Triple H has just made Cena vs. Sheamus official for later tonight. Stephanie just tells Rollins to worry about Night of Champions.

Renee Young interviews Charlotte and her father, Ric Flair. Charlotte can't wait to fulfill a childhood dream, especially with her father at her side. Ric Flair says that the Divas Revolution has been remarkable, and that both Charlotte and Nikki Bella will be rocking the house, and he'll be watching all night long. Charlotte then says that watching the Bella Empire crumble to Natural Selection will be a dream come true. Both Flair and Charlotte leave with a couple of "Woooo!"s.

Sasha Banks beats Paige with the Banks Statement after Tamina pulls Sasha out of the way of a move off the apron from Paige. Tamina and Naomi attack Paige and Becky Lynch after the match.

It's time for Miz TV. The Miz has gathered some interesting guest's for tonight's installment: The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Braun Strowman). Wyatt tells Miz not to sit down, as he is not safe here. Miz insists he is not Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns' partner at Night of Champions. Wyatt makes it clear that he wants Ambrose and Reigns to suffer, and for people to pay for their sins. As for what he wants most, he wants the WWE Universe to know that regardless of how many people show up Sunday night, he wants those people to know that they all fall down. Ambrose and Reigns show up, then Ambrose beats up The Miz before he and Reigns stare down with The Wyatt Family. Reigns tells Wyatt he makes him sick, especially after they took out Randy Orton and Jimmy Uso, and that Wyatt will pay for the latter. Reigns says that Wyatt has to surround himself with monsters because he can't beat him by himself, then tells Wyatt they've found a third person for their team. He then says that this feud is going to become a war that they'll win. Ambrose and Reigns stare down with The Wyatt Family again to end Miz TV.

Ryback is in the ring. He is proud to stand inside as Intercontinental Champion in Memphis, Tennessee, especially since Kevin Owens has him all shook up. He knows Kevin has no respect for him, the ring and what it means to be a champion. Owens shows up soon after Ryback says that, and Owens talks about how Ryback mentioned how the book "The Secret" helped him overcome tough times as well as recent injury. Owens has read the book - which he has brought with him - and says he feels sorry for him and anybody who's read "this piece of garbage." Ryback says the only piece of garbage he sees is Owens, who says the book is an excuse and a crutch for weak people. He can't blame Ryback for reading it, but he can blame him for being both the strongest and the weakest guy in the locker room, and says it's a travesty that he's the Intercontinental Champion. Ryback tells Kevin Owens what he's all about, and respects Owens' long road to where he is now. He admits he had an elevator ride to the top and fell flat on his face, but he has since picked himself back up and got back up to where he is now. Owens tells him that the first chance he gets, he's going to take the Intercontinental Championship. Ryback tells him that he'll get his chance at Night of Champions, as he's asked Triple H and Stephanie McMahon for this match. Owens walks away soon after.

We look back at Starrcade 1997, when Sting beat "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan to win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and win a major victory for WCW against the nWo.

Neville comes out for the next match with The Lucha Dragons (Sin Cara and Kalisto). This starts a brawl between them and Stardust and The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor), and Neville and The Lucha Dragons easily come out on top.

Nikki Bella is unimpressed with our year...and says she's been Divas Champion this whole time and that she's the one who gave us the Divas Revolution. She plans to beat Charlotte and become the longest-reigning Divas Champion tonight.

Charlotte beat Nikki Bella to win the WWE Divas Championship...by beating Brie. Team Bella (Brie and Nikki Bella, Alicia Fox) tries to run interference, but it backfires. Stephanie McMahon shows up and declares that Charlotte is winner, but only by disqualification as Brie Bella put her hands on Charlotte. Therefore, Charlotte is still the winner, but Nikki Bella retains the WWE Divas Championship. Since Charlotte is victorious, she gets a championship rematch at Night of Champions...and this time, the title can change hands by count-out or disqualification.

We look back at Survivor Series 2014, when Sting appeared in the WWE for the very first time, took out Triple H and helped Team Cena take Triple H and Stephanie McMahon out of power.

Cesaro beats Rusev after Rusev is distracted by Dolph Ziggler, who tries to give a gift to Summer Rae. Ziggler gets in the ring and hits a super kick on Rusev immediately after the match is over. As Summer Rae tends to Rusev, she takes the gift and hides it from Rusev's eyes.

The show starts with The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Braun Strowman) entering the ring. Wyatt says that Roman Reigns is cursed, sick and infected with the desire to become "the one." He admits that Reigns is a smart man, but says Reigns does not care about the WWE Universe and certainly not about they think about him. Wyatt says that if Reigns were to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion, everyone would bow down to him "like good little sheep do." He then focuses on Dean Ambrose, saying he is cursed with loyalty to a man he believes to be a brother-in-arms, and says he's missing more than "a few pieces upstairs." He sends a warning to anyone in the back that makes contact with Ambrose and Reigns: this is about the Wyatts vs. Reigns and Ambrose, and it should stay that way. Wyatt shows us what they did to Randy Orton on Monday as part of his reasoning, before telling them that apocalypse awaits Ambrose and Reigns at Night of Champions, and tells Jimmy Uso - Ambrose and Reigns' tag partner tonight - that he has an important choice to make and that choosing poorly will cost him dearly. Another ref is called in to separate the two, but Naomi and Tamina from Team B.A.D. and Charlotte and Becky Lynch from Team PCB show, starting an even bigger brawl. Charlotte and Becky have to keep Paige from tearing Sasha to pieces, as Naomi and Tamina get Sasha Banks out of harm's way.

Byron Saxton interviews Seth Rollins. He considers Monday night the lowest point in his career, thanks to Sting. He says that his statue was a symbol of his status as a legend, and says Sting's attempts at mind games are just him digging his grave, and he plans to crush his career much like Sting crushed his statue. As for his reamtch with Ryback, he requested it be a lumberjack so that the doubters can see that Ryback wouldn't have beaten him if it weren't for the distraction from Sting. At Night of Champions, he plans to retain both the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the WWE United States Championship against Sting and John Cena, respectively. Suddenly, Sheamus shows up, and tells Rollins he may have three matches, as he can't decide when to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase and says Night of Champions sounds like a tempting time to do that. He then wishes him luck, and Rollins is left seething.

Gettin' RAW - Monday Night RAW recap for September 7, 2015

During the pre-show, The Miz talks with Cesaro and tells him that he can make him a breakout star, and turn the "Cesaro Section" into the "Cesaro Nation." Cesaro appears to shake hands with The Miz, but then nearly breaks it, and tells Miz that he's the last person he would ask for help. He then challenges Miz to a match later tonight in order to show him how he connects with the WWE Universe.

Seth Rollins shows up to start tonight's show. He gives the city of Baltimore, Maryland a reality check, saying that before him, cashing in the Money in the Bank Briefcase at WrestleMania was a pipe dream, Brock Lesnar was invincible, and that people were waiting for someone to topple John Cena off the top of the WWE mountain, which he says he did when he beat Cena at SummerSlam and became WWE World Heavyweight and United States Champion at the same time. He says that Baltimore, a city not known for greatness, now knows what greatness is thanks to him. He then focuses on Sting, who he still claims stole his statue that was meant for the Raw after SummerSlam and had the audacity to put his hands on the WWE World Heavyweight title. He says that at Night of Champions, Sting has the opportunity to validate his entire career, but Rollins himself has the opportunity to crush it and make sure he never goes for the World Heavyweight title ever again. He then focuses on his United States title defense against John Cena, also at Night of Champions, thanks to Cena's rematch clause. He says that 2015 has been his year, and Night of Champions will be his night, own Sting and John Cena just like he owns the ring and the WWE Universe, successfully defend both of his titles, and get his statue if that's the last thing he does, saying it belongs ringside next to the commentary table. Sting then appears on the TitanTron, saying the statue doesn't belong there and that it belongs with him. Sting then says that Seth Rollins is the man...the man without a statue. He says the statue is with him, and he taking's good care of it. He dares Rollins to come and get it before the TitanTron goes black. Suddenly, Sheamus shows up. He says Seth Rollins looks a little agitated, but Rollins says he's just looking for his statue. Sheamus says Rollins sounds stupid, and Rollins says Sheamus looks stupid. After a Ronald McDonald joke between the two, Sheamus then reminds Rollins that he can cash in on him with the Money in the Bank on him at any time...especially at Night of Champions.

Seth Rollins meets with Stephanie McMahon, looking for Triple H to see if he has a plan. Triple H suddenly shows up, and both Triple H and Stephanie tell him he's got this. He tells Rollins not to worry about Sheamus, and that Sheamus will have his hands full tonight with Randy Orton. As for the statue, he should focus on his title defenses at Night of Champions more than the statue, which is why Rollins has been set up with two matches tonight. The first one is a Champion vs. Champion match with Intercontinental champ Ryback, and the second one is Champions vs. Challengers as him and The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) team up against The Prime Time Players (Darren Young and Titus O'Neil) and John Cena.

Sasha Banks beats Paige thanks to the distraction by Naomi and Tamina.

Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns beat The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor). After the match, Braun Strowman appears on the TitanTron. He doesn't blame Ambrose and Reigns before being afraid, for he is destruction. Bray Wyatt shows up and says to take this as a warning for them and anyone who teams with them, as the apocalypse awaits them at Night of Champions. Luke Harper simply says "Run."

Renee Young interviews Ryback. Ryback plans to be a fighting champion, especially tonight. He then calls Seth Rollins a weasel, even though he is a thoroughbred in the prime in his career, though the later point won't stop him from beaing Ryback tonight. Kevin Owens shows up, eating an apple and wishing him good luck. Ryback tells him he's full of crap, but Owens tells him he looks a little hungry and tells him not to bite off more than he chew.

During Seth Rollins vs. Ryback, Sting appears on the TitanTron, telling Rollins he - and his statue - are waiting for him. This distraction gives enough time for Ryback to recover and beat Rollins with an inside cradle. After the match, Sting appears on the TitanTron again, this time just to taunt Rollins by putting a Sting mask on the statue.

Seth Rollins is looking for Sting backstage when The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) shows up. Seth is about to yell at them when The New Day notice that Edge and Christian show up, still angry that The Authority attacked them the last time they appeared on Raw and remind him they didn't get the job done. Seth leaves when Edge tells him to finish what he started and finish him off right now, saying he's got a lot on his plate, then both The New Day and the team of Edge and Christian have a trombone vs. kazoo battle...until The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) show up, telling The New Day that they've talked to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, and that The New Day have a rematch next week against The Prime Time Players (Darren Young and Titus O'Neil)...and the winners face The Dudley Boyz at Night of Champions. They then preview their new song, "Get the tables," with help from Edge and Christian.

Summer Rae is in the ring. After a video package recapping all that's gone down so far, Summer says that the past week has been the most horrendous week of her life and at the center of it all, there is a man who she claims is the "true victim" of all this that she feels the need to apologize to. That man, according to Summer Rae, is Rusev, and she asks him to come to the ring. He does, and Summer tells him that she owes much to him, and inspired her to pose for this month's Ironman magazine, among other things. She mentions that she let Dolph kiss her, and she might never forgive herself for what happened as she apologizes. Rusev almost immediately accepts her apology, then says that Summer is the true victim here due to "Ziggler's American lies," which have "also been fed to Lana." He refuses to accept Lana is not here because of a broken wrist, and says she's not here due to a broken heart. Dolph Ziggler shows up, saying that their attempt to drive a wedge between her and Lana aren't working, and that Lana has asked him to send Rusev a message: a super kick to Rusev's jaw. Rusev and Summer immediately retreat.

The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) beat Los Matadores (Fernando and Diego) after Diego repeatedly tells El Torito to get off the ropes and slaps him for not listening, allowing The Dudleys hit to hit a Dudley Death Drop on Diego. After the match, Fernando turns on El Torito, and The Dudleys can't believe what they're seeing. Not surprisingly, Fernando goes through a table after D-Von interrupts his yelling at El Torito to get a few shots on him. After that, Bubba Ray and JBL high-five each other.

Big Show shows up during Cesaro vs. The Miz and plays cat-and-mouse with him. The match ends in a double count-out after The Miz escapes into the WWE Universe. Big Show then knocks Cesaro out on his way back to the back.

Team Bella (Brie and Nikki Bella, Alicia Fox) show up. Once again, they brag about the BellaTron and how, in one week, Nikki Bella will be the longest-reigning Divas Champion ever. She plans to throw a "Bellabration" next week to celebrate this fact...until Team PCB (Paige, Charlotte, Becky Lynch) shows up. Charlotte says she loves a party, but is slighted the fact that she - and Team PCB - weren't invited. Her petition to face her for the Divas title before the record can be broken has been granted, and she plans to take the title before the record can be broken next week. This starts a brawl between Team Bella and Team PCB, where PCB easily stand tall with a Figure Eight to Nikki.

John Cena and The Prime Time Players (Darren Young and Titus O'Neil) beat Seth Rollins and The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E). After the match, Sting appears on the TitanTron once again...and it turns out that Sting was outside the building in front of a garbage truck the entire time. He pushes Rollins' statue into the back of the truck, and the statue easily gets crushed. Rollins is absolutely livid.

Kevin Owens beats Cesaro after knocking him ribs first into the commentary table.

Before the next match, The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) call The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) are a menace to society, culture, the Tag Team Championships...and furniture. For that last reason, they have decided to start the "Save The Tables Movement," and pull out a table from underneath the ring that is still in bubble wrap, stating that it is the last table there is, and say that The Dudley Boyz will do anything they can to break that table. They then start a "Save The Tables" chant.

He says that he had no problem with Sting at all up until last week, and that he revered him as a legend in the ring...until Sting hijacked his statue and ruined the unveiling ceremony. Rollins proceeds to call himself a real man, and calls Sting out, demanding two things: to take back what he said about him at the top of the show, and to return his bronze statue. When he asks Sting to come out and tell him where he put his statue, Stephanie McMahon shows up instead. She knows that she asked him to call out Sting, but tells him to stop talking about Triple H and that Sting has gotten into his head. Rollins calls out Sting again, but this time he gets John Cena. He tells Rollins to remember this moment, as he is about to find out how expendable he is, and that Stephanie McMahon is the one who will make him miserable. After calling Rollins out on basically everything he's ever done since he turned his back on Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, he tells Rollins that he's buying into their bullcrap, and if they really were their friends, he wouldn't be allowed to do what he's about to do: cash in his rematch clause for the WWE United States Championship at Night of Champions, forcing Rollins to defend two different titles in two different matches on the same night at that event. When Cena asks Stephanie is the match is on, she says yes. After Cena walks to the top of the ramp, Sting walks out and stands side by side with Cena.
