Gettin' RAW - Monday Night RAW recap for May 23, 2016

Seth Rollins, fresh from a return at Extreme Rules, starts tonight's show. He says that he is back and that he is taking back the title that he never lost: the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. When he notices that the WWE Universe missed him, he finds it surprising, as he says the WWE Universe hated him to death during his championship reign as he hid behind The Authority every chance he could and everyone called him the weakest link. He says he took all the flowers and "get well soon" cards, put them in a garbage can and lit them all on fire, and says he never needed the WWE Universe and doesn't need them. He tells the WWE Universe to either cheer him or boo him, as he'll get back the title he never lost. Roman Reigns shows up, and when he gets in the ring, Seth Rollins gets out. As he tells Roman he'll only face him on his time, Shane McMahon shows up. Shane knows that there is a lot of animosity between Seth and Roman, and makes a match between the two of them for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship official for Money in the Bank.

Cesaro takes on The Miz, Dean Ambrose takes on Dolph Ziggler, Apollo Crews takes on Chris Jericho, AJ Styles takes on Kevin Owens and Sheamus takes on Sami Zayn...all in Money in the Bank qualifying matches tonight on Raw!

Renee Young interviews Sheamus, who is sick and tired of hearing about the new era and that the kids' eyes will have to covered as what he's going to Sami Zayn won't be for all ages.

Sami Zayn beats Sheamus to qualify for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. After the match, Sheamus is seething.

Renee Young interviews Apollo Crews...but Sheamus attacks Crews before he can even speak.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) show up. There is a birthday cake in the ring, and it is out here to celebrate the 1200th episode of Raw tonight. Big E says a wrestling ring is never a safe place for a cake, so Big E volunteers to take it outside...and it almost ends up in JBL and Byron Saxton's faces. All of a sudden, The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) spoil the fun and attack The New Day.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) beat The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel). After the match, Heath Slater's face goes right into the birthday cake.

Before the next match, The Miz and Maryse gloat over Miz's Intercontinental Championship win and is future Money in the Bank Briefcase win. The Miz ponders who would play him in a movie based on last night, but Maryse says nobody can even compare to him. Before they can kiss, Cesaro makes his entrance.

Renee Young interviews Seth Rollins. Stephanie McMahon shows up, and she tells him that things have changed along with their business relationship. They shake hands after she welcomes him back.

Chris Jericho beats Apollo Crews to qualify for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. After the match, Sheamus laughs after Renee Young tries to interview him.

Jojo interviews Baron Corbin. Corbin says he did what he did last night because he can. Dolph Ziggler shows up and makes fun of Corbin, and says Corbin can't beat him in a technical wrestling match. Corbin tells him that if he wants another match, he'll get one. Next week is a technical wrestling match, but tonight is the Money In The Bank qualifying match against Dean AMbrose. He plans to do what Corbin can't: steal the show.

Enzo Amore returns to WWE programming for the first time since his injury at Payback along with Big Cass. Enzo calls out The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) after what they said about New Jersey at Extreme Rules.

Big Cass beats Bubba Ray Dudley.

Charlotte, Dana Brooke and Ric Flair arrive to address the State of the Women's Championship. Flair tells Charlotte he is proud of her for everything she's accomplished as of late. Charlotte thanks herself before saying Dana Brooke "made the right choice" when it comes to being the best. Dana thanks her for the privilege of standing in the ring with the dirtiest player in the game. Charlotte says she understands why her dad wasn't there, and now she's more powerful and more confident now that she is Women's Champion. She then tells Ric Flair to get out of her ring. She says she's now tired of being referred to as "Ric Flair's daughter" and of people saying she couldn't do anything without his help. She then calls Ric Flair "the second dirtiest player in the game" and says she has no time for people who come in second place. She tells Ric that he abandoned her and that she doesn't need him anymore, and tells him to get out. Ric reluctantly leaves the ring and heads to the back.

Dean Ambrose beats Dolph Ziggler to qualify for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Ric Flair meets with Arn Anderson, who tells him "I'm sorry." Renee Young then tries to interview Flair, but Flair is so miserable after what happened earlier tonight that he can't say a thing.

The Shining Stars (Primo and Epico) invite the WWE Universe to come to Puerto Rico, "The Shining Star of the Caribbean."

Before the next match, AJ Styles says that Roman Reigns is every bit of the man he says he is, and that if it weren't for The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) and The Club (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson), he would have beat Roman Reigns. He says he has an opportunity to beat Kevin Owens on his own and go on to Money in the Bank. Suddenly, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson show up and take offense to the "if it weren't for them" line. AJ says that things have changed, and that it's probably time for a professional split. He says that nothing can separate them from being brothers, but Gallows and Anderson don't like the sound of that. Gallows and Anderson eventually leave the ring after AJ says that right now, the ring is his ring.

This Thursday on SmackDown: Cesaro vs. The Miz for the WWE Intercontinental Championship! Kalisto vs. Rusev for the WWE United States Championship!

Kevin Owens beats AJ Styles to qualify for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Bubba Ray asks if the audience heard of ECW, then D-Von says we can watch it on WWE Network before Bubba tells everyone to stop acting like a bunch of sheep. They say that ECW died and went into the toilet because they left, and that they're not on the show because they're "above extreme." After they make fun of today's Superstars and New Jersey. Big Cass shows up and tells them they're full of crap. The Dudleys attack Big Cass, but Big Cass fights back and makes short work of them.

Smackdown Hotel! - Thursday Night SmackDown recap for March 10, 2016

Tonight's show begins with Miz TV. Tonight's special guests are Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Sami Zayn is the first person to be introduced. The Miz wants to know "Who is Sami Zayn?" As soon as Sami talks about himself, however, Miz cuts him off, wanting to know about his rivalry with Kevin Owens. As before, Sami Zayn doesn't know when the rivalry between him and Owens started, especially given their friendship together. The Miz introduces Kevin Owens, who shows up on his own time and says he did what he did in NXT to further his career, and has nothing to do with their history. However, he says what Sami Zayn did on Monday was personal, and that he is the victim, not Sami. Sami says he's here to stay, and his first order of business is to take the Intercontinental Championship from Owens at WrestleMania 32. Kevin Owens tells him this isn't NXT, this is The Kevin Owens Show, and that it just won't be happening. When Sami challenges Owens right here and now, Owens calls Sami Zayn delusional, and is about to leave when Neville shows up. Neville tells Owens they have some unfinished business, and that the Intercontinental Championship would look good around his waist. The Miz butts in, saying this is his show, that Neville is not an approved guest and that he should be the one getting a shot at the title considering that he's main evented WrestleMania. Zayn tells him to stay out of this, as this doesn't concern him and his days of main eventing WrestleMania are far, far behind him. The Miz then attacks Sami Zayn from behind, but Zayn fights back, tossing The Miz out of the ring.

Sami Zayn and Neville beat The Miz and Kevin Owens when Owens leaves Miz high and dry.

Chris Jericho shows up with a "Y2AJ" shirt and places it atop a garbage can. Jericho says he is sick of the "AJ Styles" chants, and that this is why he turned on AJ Styles on Monday night. Jericho says he's done so much for WWE and has never gotten hurt once in 17 years, and yet everyone still chants for AJ. He tells all the AJ Styles fans to go to hell, and says he is "the only thing" as he keeps hearing about "the next big thing." He then announces he will stand and watch AJ Styles' WWE career wither and burn, then puts gasoline in the garbage can, and then lights the Y2AJ shirt on fire as he dumps it in the can as he says that AJ's career is going down in flames and that AJ burned him.

The Milwaukee Bucks are in the front row tonight.

1,000TH BLOG POST: Underground Sound - Lucha Underground recap for March 9, 2016

2x07: "Death Comes in Threes"

The Mack meets with Sexy Star in the locker room. He has a match with Marty "The Moth" Martinez and wants her at ringside, but she initially refuses due to what "The Moth" put her through. The Mack says this isn't like her, and says the Sexy Star he knows is a fearless ass-kicker. Sexy Star changes her mind, and she and The Mack fist bump.

During The Mack vs. Marty "The Moth" Martinez, we meet a woman in an elaborate moth costume as a strange music box melody plays. She distracts not only Sexy Star, but also The Mack, and Marty "The Moth" Martinez is able to beat The Mack. We find out that this woman is Marty's sister, Mariposa. Sexy Star, hiding and afraid behind the post, easily falls victim to an attack from Mariposa.

We get a closer look at Fenix, who grew up and prepared for competition in Lucha Underground despite all the naysayers and has now made a name for himself.

Jack "The Dragonslayer" Evans is confronted by Drago backstage. Drago makes quick work of a light fixture, then dares Evans to slay him now...but "The Darewolf" PJ Black, still sore from last week, joins in on the fun. After all three men pull out their nunchaku, Drago almost makes quick work of them, but Evans and Black get the upper hand. All of a sudden, Aerostar shows up and saves Drago with some light-up nunchaku action of his own, and Aerostar and Drago join forces.

Before the next match, Taya shows up in place of Johnny Mundo, and says that since Johnny kicked Cage's ass, it's time for her to do the same. After she introduces herself, she asks Cage if he has to balls to go face-to-face with her.

Despite much interference, weaponry and double-teaming from Johnny Mundo, Cage stills beats Taya in a no-disqualification match.

We see another commercial from Famous B, who now calls himself "a recently retired underground fighter" and gives a woman on the commercial his "magic touch."

Ivelisse tells Angelico and Son of Havoc they have their tag match next week against The Disciples of Death (Barrio Negro, El Siniestro de la Muerte and Terce)...but she had to agree to an ultimatum. If they don't win, they're out of Lucha Underground for good.

Mil Muertes retains the Lucha Underground Championship against Prince Puma and Pentagon Jr. in a triple threat match. After the match, however, Fenix shows up and says he's cutting the celebration short, as he will turn in the Gift of the Gods Championship and get his shot at Mil Muertes to win the Lucha Underground Championship

Makin' an iMPACT - Impact Wrestling recap for March 8, 2016

Dixie Carter is in the ring, with the locker room surrounding the ring. Tonight is the last time we will see Kurt Angle wrestle in TNA as he squares off against Lashley tonight. She introduces Angle one last time, and says she'll never forget the time he made his TNA debut, as well as what he's done for the company. Drew Galloway thanks Angle not only for their recent match but for all that he's done for the TNA locker room. Kurt says he came here ten years ago to find himself, and says he has become a better person. After he thanks everyone for everything, Lashley shows up. He says that today will be a rough day, but also a great experience for everyone here, and is happy to have faced the man who got him into the business. After thanking Angle, he says the only sad thing is that Angle isn't ready to wrestle him, as an attempt to get into Angle's head.

Eric Young retains the TNA King of the Mountain Championship against Bram, Jimmy Havoc, Big Damo and Will Ospreay.

We look back at Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe at Genesis 2006.

Dixie Carter runs into Maria Kanellis, who tells her that "The Miracle" Mike Bennett is calling her out, and asks her to listen to what he has to say. She also wants a leadership position in the Knockouts division, and asks Dixie to get his assistant a call. Dixie tells Maria she saw what happened last week between her and Gail Kim, and that she believes in actions rather than words. Maria is not impressed as Dixie walks away.

Maria Kanellis and "The Miracle" Mike Bennett are in the ring. Bennett says TNA needs him now more than ever, and that Kurt Angle ducked and cheap-shotted him on his way out the door. He then says the miracle here is that he will be named the #1 contender to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, and that he will go on to win the World title and save pro wrestling. When he calls out Dixie Carter, however, he gets Drew Galloway, who calls him out on his entitlement complex, and tells him to stop running his mouth like a little bitch and earn his title shot. Bennett then says that he carries around the Feast or Fired briefcase like it was handed to him, then tells Drew to get Dixie for him. Galloway turns around as if to do that, then turns around and punches Bennett in the face. After a short brawl, Bennett retreats.

We look back at the King of the Mountain match from Slammiversary 2007.

The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) thank Kurt Angle personally backstage. Angle thinks highly of The Wolves, and as he tells them to kick some ass tonight, he tells Davey Richards that he's passing the Ankle Lock Submission on to him and that he'll give him some pointers on how to use it later.

Gail Kim retains the TNA Knockouts Championship against Jade.

Ethan Carter III takes on Matt Hardy for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship for the third time next week. Matt Hardy doesn't like this, but he plans to take EC3 down for good.

Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) beat The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) in a fierce match to win the TNA Tag Team Championships for the fifth time! After the match, Davey Richards is helped to the back by officials.

We look back at the Kurt Angle Hall of Fame Tribute before Bound For Glory 2013.

Lashley confronts Drew Galloway backstage. He tells Drew that after Kurt Angle leaves, there will be a new top dog in town...and it won't be Drew Galloway.

We see some Twitter videos where TNA fans thank Kurt Angle for everything he's done for TNA.

Mike Bennett meets up with Kurt Angle backstage, saying he could have wrestled him instead of Lashley in his last match. Angle tells Bennett he'll wish he never comes back, and makes it clear he can tear him up if he does.

Grado shows up, saying he has proof that he was screwed out of his job. Eli Drake and Jessie Godderz show up, and says he'll bash Eli Drake in the head with his Feast or Fired backstage so much it'll knock some sense into him. Jessie says they'll put him out of his misery so the TNA audience won't have to deal with him anymore. They go on the attack, and when Mahabali Shera shows up to help Grado out, Eli Drake hits Shera in the back with the briefcase. When he re-focuses on Grado, however, he accidentally hits Jessie Godders with his Feast or Fired briefcase when Grado ducks. Grado grabs the briefcase and takes Eli Drake down, then runs off with it.

We see a video tribute package to Kurt Angle.

Lashley beats Kurt Angle in Angle's final TNA match. Lashley and Angle show respect after the match, then Lashley attacks Angle. Drew Galloway and Eddie Edwards confront Lashley only to get Speared. Ethan Carter III then shows up and stares Lashley down, and Lashley responds by leaving the ring with a look of malicious glee on his face.

Next week: TNA is live from Orlando, Florida! Jeff Hardy returns!

Shane McMahon starts tonight's show. He recaps what happened last week, and says he's lost a respect for his father Vince after he disowned him, and calls him "an egomaniacal, miserable old bastard" who has seriously lost touch. He then says it is his destiny to own Raw and beat The Undertaker, saying that Vince's tyrannical grasp as well as that of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon must stop, and that there are more talent that are more deserving of a push that need it. We hear the gong of 'Taker's theme, followed by Vince's theme. Vince shows up, and the crowd calls him an asshole before chanting for CM Punk. Vince says there is fear in Shane's eyes, and that he will feel that fear at WrestleMania 32. After saying that Stephanie McMahon will get everything now that Shane is out of the will, Vince then talks about the night Shane went to his very first WWE event. We see a picture of father of son from way back when, then Vince takes a picture frame with said photo in it and smashes it with his foot. Vince also says that Shane's children will see him fail against The Undertaker, as a family's dreams will be shattered as 'Taker puts an end to what Vince calls "his greatest failure." Vince then sics security on Shane, and tell them to escort Shane out of the building. Shane says he'll leave peacefully as long as nobody touches him, as he says he's pretty amped up tonight. One guy gets close and tries to put a hand on them, and he gets kneed in the face. The other security guards get in the ring, but they all get beat down, too. He says that he and Triple H will be doing stuff for the community together, and says Triple H will make him a suit only to realise he's not a suit guy. As soon as he says he'll be a fighting champion, Triple H shows up. He says the World Heavyweight Championship will be around his waist as long as he allows it to be. Dean Ambrose tells Triple H to suck it, but Triple H says "Roadblock" is just a name from marketing and that Ambrose is a speed bump or pothole at best. He also says Ambrose has the same problem with authority as Roman Reigns. After more insults tossed back and forth, Ambrose dares Triple H to get in the ring. Triple H says he'll do it only on his time, then puts Ambrose in a match later tonight against Bray Wyatt to teach him a lesson that "The Authority always wins."

Goldust then says a true partner would know that he is lactose intolerant, and if he took one bite, his butt would explode. Goldust puts the pizza down and walks away, and as R-Truth says he didn't know about Goldust's exploding butt, Mark Henry takes the pizza all for himself.

Triple H then deconstructs the commentary table, but when he gets back in the ring, Ambrose hits Triple H with Dirty Deeds. He then picks up the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and looks at it as he stares down Triple H from the corner.

He then turns on the fans for cheering for EC3, saying not one person stood up for him when he needed it most. Spud says he did the right thing: take from him what he's always wanted and craved, which is the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. After putting Matt and his family on a pedestal, he calls Matt the greatest TNA World Heavyweight Champion of all time, as well as the one the company needs and deserves. Gettin' RAW - Monday Night RAW recap for February 29, 2016

JUST A HEADS UP: No videos for this week. I know. I need to get better on these blogs. Meanwhile, enjoy the rest of the posts that I have set up for the week of 2/29-3/5/16!!!

Triple H makes his appearance to start tonight's show. Triple H says only few have it, and the rest bow down to it. That "it" is authority, and he plays to the people's fear to being destroyed by authority in order to know their place in life. He says that Roman should have known his place, as challenging and disrespecting him has led him to sitting at home breathing through his mouth. All of a sudden, Dean Ambrose shows up. He says he just got off the phone with Roman Reigns, and says that Roman told him he's coming for Triple H. Ambrose said he wanted to talk to him Triple H last week, but all the craziness from last week put a stop to that. Ambrose wants to know who Triple H wanted to see - or not see - win the Triple Threat match at Fastlane. Triple H says he didn't see Ambrose winning, but Ambrose asks if Triple H can see him now. Triple H is convinced Ambrose is legitimately crazy, and that Triple H is smart enough not to get in the ring with someone like him because - according to Ambrose - Triple H doesn't think he can beat him. Ambrose then challenges Triple H to a match tonight for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Triple H says he's the authority figure around here, but he says he'll think about it and give him an answer by the end of the night. Ambrose says he has other things to do, and Triple H says he's right, because Ambrose is going up against Alberto Del Rio tonight in an attempt to teach him what authority is.

Charlotte watches from ringside for the next match.

Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks to determine a #1 contender for the WWE Divas Championship ends with both women's shoulders down on the mat after Sasha Banks hits a Sunset Flip on Becky. Becky is on top of Sasha, but since all four shoulders were down, this match is a draw.

The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman) appears. Bray thinks he is either insane or that his mind is key to saving the entire world. He asks the WWE Universe to take his hand and join him.

The Miz quickly beats Dolph Ziggler.

Stephanie McMahon shows up to accept the Vincent J. McMahon Legacy of Excellence Award as she intended to last week. SmackDown Hotel - Thursday Night Smackdown recap for February 25, 2016

Triple H makes his appearance to start off SmackDown. He quotes the first four lines of Sympathy For The Devil by The Rolling Stones, and says that if Roman Reigns has forgotten who he is, that there would be repercussions for Monday night and that he was lying outside the ring in a pool of his own blood and getting his nose surgically repaired, then there is no doubt in his mind now. We see a video package of Triple H's devastating beatdown on Roman from Monday night, followed by a post-surgery picture of Roman Reigns on the TitanTron, with Triple H saying that is the face of a man who has been humbled. He says he is the law; he is the authority. He says you can't beat authority, even though it is human nature to fight against it anyway. He tells Roman Reigns and anyone who can hear his voice to have some courtesy, sympathy and taste or he will "lay your soul to waste." Triple H says that he was walked on a lot of people to get to where he is now, then talks about Roman Reigns, saying he works hard and has the sweat, but Triple H says he himself has the blood (which is proven literally is on some towels with Roman's blood on it that Triple H pulls out of his suit), and that the tears are yet to come.
