Makin' an iMPACT - Impact Wrestling recap for March 8, 2016

Dixie Carter is in the ring, with the locker room surrounding the ring. Tonight is the last time we will see Kurt Angle wrestle in TNA as he squares off against Lashley tonight. She introduces Angle one last time, and says she'll never forget the time he made his TNA debut, as well as what he's done for the company. Drew Galloway thanks Angle not only for their recent match but for all that he's done for the TNA locker room. Kurt says he came here ten years ago to find himself, and says he has become a better person. After he thanks everyone for everything, Lashley shows up. He says that today will be a rough day, but also a great experience for everyone here, and is happy to have faced the man who got him into the business. After thanking Angle, he says the only sad thing is that Angle isn't ready to wrestle him, as an attempt to get into Angle's head.

Eric Young retains the TNA King of the Mountain Championship against Bram, Jimmy Havoc, Big Damo and Will Ospreay.

We look back at Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe at Genesis 2006.

Dixie Carter runs into Maria Kanellis, who tells her that "The Miracle" Mike Bennett is calling her out, and asks her to listen to what he has to say. She also wants a leadership position in the Knockouts division, and asks Dixie to get his assistant a call. Dixie tells Maria she saw what happened last week between her and Gail Kim, and that she believes in actions rather than words. Maria is not impressed as Dixie walks away.

Maria Kanellis and "The Miracle" Mike Bennett are in the ring. Bennett says TNA needs him now more than ever, and that Kurt Angle ducked and cheap-shotted him on his way out the door. He then says the miracle here is that he will be named the #1 contender to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, and that he will go on to win the World title and save pro wrestling. When he calls out Dixie Carter, however, he gets Drew Galloway, who calls him out on his entitlement complex, and tells him to stop running his mouth like a little bitch and earn his title shot. Bennett then says that he carries around the Feast or Fired briefcase like it was handed to him, then tells Drew to get Dixie for him. Galloway turns around as if to do that, then turns around and punches Bennett in the face. After a short brawl, Bennett retreats.

We look back at the King of the Mountain match from Slammiversary 2007.

The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) thank Kurt Angle personally backstage. Angle thinks highly of The Wolves, and as he tells them to kick some ass tonight, he tells Davey Richards that he's passing the Ankle Lock Submission on to him and that he'll give him some pointers on how to use it later.

Gail Kim retains the TNA Knockouts Championship against Jade.

Ethan Carter III takes on Matt Hardy for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship for the third time next week. Matt Hardy doesn't like this, but he plans to take EC3 down for good.

Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) beat The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) in a fierce match to win the TNA Tag Team Championships for the fifth time! After the match, Davey Richards is helped to the back by officials.

We look back at the Kurt Angle Hall of Fame Tribute before Bound For Glory 2013.

Lashley confronts Drew Galloway backstage. He tells Drew that after Kurt Angle leaves, there will be a new top dog in town...and it won't be Drew Galloway.

We see some Twitter videos where TNA fans thank Kurt Angle for everything he's done for TNA.

Mike Bennett meets up with Kurt Angle backstage, saying he could have wrestled him instead of Lashley in his last match. Angle tells Bennett he'll wish he never comes back, and makes it clear he can tear him up if he does.

Grado shows up, saying he has proof that he was screwed out of his job. Eli Drake and Jessie Godderz show up, and says he'll bash Eli Drake in the head with his Feast or Fired backstage so much it'll knock some sense into him. Jessie says they'll put him out of his misery so the TNA audience won't have to deal with him anymore. They go on the attack, and when Mahabali Shera shows up to help Grado out, Eli Drake hits Shera in the back with the briefcase. When he re-focuses on Grado, however, he accidentally hits Jessie Godders with his Feast or Fired briefcase when Grado ducks. Grado grabs the briefcase and takes Eli Drake down, then runs off with it.

We see a video tribute package to Kurt Angle.

Lashley beats Kurt Angle in Angle's final TNA match. Lashley and Angle show respect after the match, then Lashley attacks Angle. Drew Galloway and Eddie Edwards confront Lashley only to get Speared. Ethan Carter III then shows up and stares Lashley down, and Lashley responds by leaving the ring with a look of malicious glee on his face.

Next week: TNA is live from Orlando, Florida! Jeff Hardy returns!

Making an iMPACT! - Impact Wrestling recap for March 1, 2016

Jeff Hardy congratulates Rockstar Spud for last week.

Kurt Angle beats Bobby Roode with the Ankle Lock Submission.

After the match, Bobby Roode says that there is no shame in losing to Kurt Angle, and thanks Kurt for everything he's done. "The Cowboy" James Storm shows up and thanks Angle as well, calling him a TNA legend and saying that their friendship has been priceless. The three of them have a toast, Angle with a half-gallon of milk and Roode and Storm with some wine. Angle says he wants to see Beer Money (Roode and Storm) take on The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards). The Wolves show up, and Davey Richards calls Kurt Angle the one constant in his life and career. As for The Wolves vs. Beer Money for the TNA World Tag Team Championships, he's all for it. Eddie Edwards tells Beer Money to keep the Feast or Fired Briefcase, because they'll lose. Storm, on the other hand, says that Beer Money will come out on top.

Matt Hardy shows up with Reby Sky and Tyrus. He says he came into the cage with one mission: beat Ethan Carter III. He then says he is done with EC3 and that he owns him. He then congratulates the man who helped him beat EC3 last night: Rockstar Spud. Spud shows up, clad completely in black and leather, says the audience would have sold out too if they lived in England their entire lives. He then turns on the fans for cheering for EC3, saying not one person stood up for him when he needed it most. Spud says he did the right thing: take from him what he's always wanted and craved, which is the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. After putting Matt and his family on a pedestal, he calls Matt the greatest TNA World Heavyweight Champion of all time, as well as the one the company needs and deserves. As Spud talks about how they "got rid of the cancer," EC3 shows up, clearing the ring and taking down both Matt Hardy. Spud tries to attack EC3 from behind, but runs when his attack has no effect. EC3 then challenges Spud to a fight tonight.

Gail Kim tells Maria from backstage that she had her chance to prove herself the miracle of women's wrestling and blew it...so now she's calling her out for a fight.

After Matt Hardy and Rockstar Spud blame Dixie Carter for everything that's happened as a result of her not firing Ethan Carter III, Dixie declares tonight's fight between Matt Hardy and EC3 unsanctioned.

We finally learn the identity of the man in white: Jimmy Havoc.

Abyss beats Jimmy Havoc in a no-disqualification Match.

Ethan Carter III gives Rockstar Spud credit for waiting a year to get revenge on him, but still says he is a coward. He says tonight will be a slaughter, and that it will not be merciful.

Gail Kim shows up and calls out Maria Kanellis, saying she showed her true colors when the crowd wanted to see her fight. She tells her to come on out. Maria shows up and says she's proud of the lesson she taught her: that she would be just like Gail if she got in the ring last week. She then says Gail wants to be like her, but Gail calls her "a crazy-ass bitch" and says she's nothing like her. Maria says Gail married a celebrity chef, then says she herself enjoys being a celebrity. Gail says the crowd wants to see her fight and chases Maria to the back, but Jade attacks Gail from behind and eventually hits her with the Knockouts Championship belt. She then tells Gail Kim that she's coming for what's hers.

Eric Young and Bram show up, and both men say that nobody can beat Eric. Eric Young challenges anyone who thinks he can beat him to come down to the ring, and the one to answer is UK indies sensation Big Damo.

Eric Young retains the TNA King of the Mountain Championship against Big Damo.

Drew Galloway tells "The Miracle" Mike Bennett that he will be the one needing the miracle as he will make him tap out.

"The Miracle" Mike Bennett beats Drew Galloway after Maria Kanellis puts Bennett's foot on the rope as Galloway has him in the Iron Maiden. This distracts Galloway, and Bennett rolls him up with a schoolboy for the win.

Matt Hardy tells Rockstar Spud to get ready for tonight's match and make Ethan Carter III "pay for his sins."

We hear from Grado, who says he can prove that he was screwed out of a job in TNA.

Next week: Kurt Angle vs. Lashley! Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) vs. The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards)!

Tyrus and Matt Hardy attack Ethan Carter III as he makes his way to the ring for the main event, but EC3 beats Tyrus up and locks Matt Hardy in a truck.

The non-sanctioned match between Ethan Carter III and Rockstar Spud ends with EC3 choking Spud out.

Making an iMPACT! - Impact Wrestling recap for February 9, 2016

Matt Hardy shows up with Reby Sky and Tyrus. He's here to bring good business to TNA, and bashes the fans. Tyrus says Ethan Carter III won't be here, as EC3 couldn't do anything without him and is nothing without him. After Reby Sky puts Matt Hardy on a pedestal, Matt Hardy says he did not break one single rule in the Last Man Standing match when he beat EC3 for the World Heavyweight Championship, then says Dixie Carter hasn't spoken word one to him. He refuses to leave the arena until Dixie speaks to him, and demands that she also fires EC3.

Dixie Carter arrives...

Lashley beats Bram after Eric Young accidentally hits Bram with the King of the Mountain title.

Reby Sky tells Matt Hardy that Dixie Carter is a pushover, while Tyrus says that Ethan Carter III won't show up, and if he does, security will toss him out.

Kurt Angle shows up. Angle admits that the fans make it difficult to say farewell, yet here he is. He thanks the fans for their support during the last ten years he's been in TNA, and as he mentions his match for tonight, Maria Kanellis shows up and says his emotion is manufactured, and that TNA needs "The Miracle" Michael Bennett. Bennet shows up and enters the ring with Maria. Bennett admits Angle has had one hell of a career, and says he idolized and studied him as a kid, in the hopes of one day beating him when he grew up. Angle tells him to step back, and says that everything Angle has done is nearly untouchable, but says he is the miracle he can do it. Angle tells Maria she's beautiful, but she's going to need a miracle, then beats up Bennett. He says he doesn't wrestle people who don't have respect, and says his opponent tonight does,

Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) enter the building. They approach a door with "Beer Money" on it. Inside is the Boozer Cruiser. Roode's plan tonight is to cash in their shot at the TNA World Tag Team Championships.

Trevor Lee retains the TNA X Division Championship after the distraction from Gregory Shame Helms.

Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) show up. They tell The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) to come on in and cash in the tag team titles, but instead they get The Decay (Rosemary, Abyss, Crazzy Steve). Rosemary says the tag titles are pretty, but everything pretty eventually rots and dies in their world. Roode knows he and Storm aren't going to get everything they want right now, but since they have a ref, they might as well have a fight. Roode and Storm charge the ramp and fight The Decay. This starts a match.

Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) vs. The Decay (Crazzy Steve and Abyss) ends when Abyss pulls the ref out of the ring after Beer Money hit the DWI on Crazzy Steve. Abyss then chokes the ref, and Beer Money take down The Decay. Rosemary, however, distracts Roode, allowing Crazzy Steve to hit a low blow on Roode and also hit Storm with one of the tag team titles. Abyss pulls out Janice from underneath the ring, and he and Abyss are about to finish them off when The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) rush in with steel chairs, forcing The Decay to back down and leave the ring. Richards then says that The Wolves want the tag team titles back, and offers them a shot at the tag team titles as part of their plan to do it. Abyss accepts on The Decay's behalf for next week...and it'll be a Monster's Ball match.

Reby Sky meets with Dixie Carter backstage, wanting to talk one-on-one. Reby admits that Matt Hardy is a proud man, and tells Dixie that she and Matt want what's best for their family.

The recently fired Grado shows up, jumping the barricade, entering the ring and getting on the mic, claiming that he was screwed out of his job in TNA and that he has proof. Eli Drake shows up with security guards. He sics them on Grado, and Grado gives chase. Eli Drake tries to get Grado from behind, but Grado gets away and makes a run for it backstage.

Drew Galloway says he plans to beat Kurt Angle where it all began for him in TNA...tonight..

Jade beats Madison Rayne thanks to a distraction by Rebel and Marti Bell. The Dollhouse (Jade, Rebel, Marti Bell) attack Madison Rayne after the match, but Gail Kim rushes in and fights them all off.

Billy Corgan is backstage when Grado shows up, telling him he's been screwed out of his job. Security gets Grado, then Eli Drake shows up, punches Grado in the face and tells security to get him out of here.

Drew Galloway beat Kurt Angle with the Crossface, after hitting him with three Claymores and making him bleed from his mouth.

Matt Hardy, Reby Sky and Tyrus are back in the ring. Matt Hardy demands Dixie Carter speak to him face-to-face. Dixie Carter shows up, and Matt Hardy blames Ethan Carter III for his own recent behavior, saying the injunction caused it all and that EC3 ruined business for TNA. He then demands Carter fire EC3 right now. When Matt Hardy goes into jerk mode, Rockstar Spud shows up, and while he agrees that Ethan Carter III did terrible things, he refuses to allow Hardy to treat Dixie Carter like dirt. Tyrus hits Spud with a cheap shot, then Matt Hardy goes back to being a jerk to Dixie, but EC3 shows up and takes down both Hardy's security and Tyrus before getting in the ring. Hardy retreats, then EC3 leaves.

Making an iMPACT! - Impact Wrestling recap for February 2, 2016

Earlier today, Ethan Carter III tells cameraman to meet him at an unspecified place at 4 PM for an interview.

Matt Hardy, Reby Sky and Tyrus appear to start the show. Matt says we won't get Jeff Hardy tonight, because Jeff made a big mistake last week. Reby says it didn't have to be this way, and believes that Jeff is just jealous that Matt won the World Heavyweight title. As Matt Hardy says that last week's actions were good for business for the Matt Hardy brand, Eric Young and Bram show up. EY takes pride in bringing immense pain to both Bobby Roode and Jeff Hardy, and praises Matt as world champ, but says the title goes through him. Kurt Angle shows up and says he's talked to TNA official concerning his next farewell tour match...and it's him vs Matt for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. A livid Matt Hardy tells Kurt Angle he will end his career if he keeps this up, but Angle says he can whup everyone in the ring right now if he has to. Suddenly, Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) show up, and they're in the mood for a fight, and declare that they will give a beatdown to Eric Young and Bram. This starts a brawl in which Crazzy Steve and Abyss show up in order to take advantage of the confusion, but The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) follow them into the ring and fight them off. Bobby Roode then declares that not only will Angle become the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion, but that Beer Money and The Wolves will take on Eric Young, Bram, Abyss and Crazzy Steve in a hardcore fight.

Drew Galloway says Feast or Fired was a big risk, but he now controls his own destiny. Tyrus shows up and tells him to set the briefcase down and walk away as it is a target on his chest. Drew tells him he has no plans of doing that, and Tyrus pretty much tells Drew that it's his funeral.

Lashley beats Aiden O'Shea despite the distraction provided by Raquel. After the match, Raquel heads into the ring and gets a microphone. She tells Lashley the same message as last time: she can bring him pain, or she can bring him pleasure.

Ethan Carter III says the world will hear it all tonight...

Maria Kanellis shows up and says that women's wrestling needs a leader to point it in the right direction. She decrees that the Knockouts Division is broken. Gail Kim shows up, and says she respect Maria, but Maria fancies herself a businesswoman and says she can make Gail mainstream. Gail Kim says she doesn't need her help, and to put her boots on if she wants to make but Maria calls her "part of the problem" and says that someone like Gail should be working for her. Gail wants none of this, and wants to fight her right now. Maria retreats.

Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) and The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) talk backstage. They almost come to blows over Beer Money's tag team title shot, but Roode reminds everyone to concentrate on tonight.

Eric Young, Bram and The Decay (Crazzy Steve and Abyss) beat The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) and Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) in a 4-on-4 "hardcore war."

Drew Galloway congratulates Kurt Angle on their match, and wishes him luck in his match tonight.

Drew Galloway vs. Tyrus ends when the lights go out and Maria Kanellis shows up to tell Galloway his miracle begins now. When the lights come back on, "The Miracle" Michael Bennett hits Galloway with his own Feast or Fired briefcase. He tells Galloway that he is the miracle TNA is and not Galloway.

Kurt Angle says he's had the time of his life in TNA. Lashley wishes him luck tonight.

Gregory Shane Helms shows up, but he is not dressed for the ring. He then tells Tigre Uno, who is already in the ring, that the match isn't against him, but against someone he has mentored: Trevor Lee.

Trevor Lee beats Tigre Uno to win the TNA X Division Championship!

The now-once-defeated Ethan Carter III says he suffered the worst beating of his life two weeks ago. He congratulates Matt Hardy for winning the World title from him, but mentions that he didn't do it alone and that he kept getting back up. EC3 then declares he will be taking a plan for the UK and that he is coming for Matt Hardy and the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Matt Hardy retains the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Kurt Angle with help from Reby Sky and Tyrus.

Making an iMPACT! - Impact Wrestling recap for January 26, 2016

Jeff Hardy is in the building. He's prepared to confront his brother Matt Hardy after last week.

Jeff Hardy heads to the ring. He has seen last week's main event, and he is sickened by what happened. He calls out Matt Hardy, saying that he wants answers. Matt's new music hits, and "Big Money Matt" shows up late to tick Jeff off. Reby Sky also shows up, as does Tyrus, who is holding baby Maxwell. Reby says Jeff abandoned Matt when he became "a redneck Evil Knievel." After Reby turns her back on Jeff and the crowd, Jeff makes it clear that there a lot of bitches in the ring. Matt says that he simply took Reby's advice: stop giving, start taking. As he keeps saying that Jeff is standing in his shadow, Jeff tells him just how appalled he is. Matt says that it might as well be time for the two Hardys to go their separate ways. Jeff Hardy says he stands by calling the now-chanted-for Ethan Carter III the best wrestler on the planet, simply because he won the World title fairly. Jeff, now medically clear, then says he wants to be the first person that Matt defends the title against. Matt grants him that match, saying he loves his brother, but that he will wash his hands of any and all guilt stemming from what he does to his brother tonight.

The TNA locker room is all abuzz about Feast or Fired.

The Feast or Fired Match takes place. Grado, Drew Galloway, Eli Drake and "The Cowboy" James Storm all get briefcases.

Jeff Hardy talks with Kurt Angle backstage, and tells him that he's annoyed with Reby Sky being in Matt's ear. Angle tells him he's doing the right thing, and that he's got his back tonight.

Tigre Uno retains the TNA X Division Championship against Mandrews and DJ Z. After the match, Gregory Shane Helms shows up again, saying that TNA was built from and defined by the X Division, and that it will come to prominence once again. He then tells Tigre Uno he has one more week to decide if he's ready to defend his title one last time, and Tigre Uno says yes. The match between the two of them is official for next week, and Helms says that Tigre Uno's time as X Division Champion is over.

Awesome Kong talks with the rest of The Dollhouse (Rebel, Jade, Marti Bell) to get them pumped for tonight.

Eli Drake and Jessie Godderz talk backstage. Eli Drake is afraid this might be his last night in TNA. Jessie tells him to open the briefcase early, but Eli Drake isn't quite so sure if he should.

Kurt Angle confronts Matt Hardy, and tells him that he's making a mistake with his actions and behavior as of late. Matt says he's creating something special from this title reign, but Angle says he's doing nothing but destroying. Matt warns Kurt not to get involved tonight, or else he's going to get hurt.

Awesome Kong destroys Velvet Sky. Madison Rayne makes the save, but gets jumped by The Dollhouse (Jade, Rebel, Marti Bell). Kong then hits Velvet with a splash from the top rope.

The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) are missing their TNA World Tag Team Championships, thanks to Crazzy Steve and Abyss. Tonight, they settle the score...and they want their belts back.

The opening of the Feast or Fired cases takes place...well, one of them, anyway. Maria Kanellis and "The Miracle" Michael Bennett show up, but Drew Galloway makes it clear that nobody is here to see him. Bennett says there will be repercussions for insulting him again, and the two of them leave. Eli Drake gets the King of the Mountain title shot.

When The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) call out Crazzy Steve, they get a girl who looks shockingly like him who says "Riddle me this, riddle me that. We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad. Decay...decay...decay." Crazzy Steve then shows up, followed by Abyss. This soon starts a brawl which takes place during the commercial break.

The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) ends when Crazzy Steve spits red mist into Davey Richards, followed by purple mist into Davey's face by the mystery girl. The gruesome threesome of Crazzy Steve, Abyss and the mystery girl then go on the attack.

James Storm gets a shot at the TNA World Tag Team Championships. Drew Galloway gets a shot at the TNA World Championship. Grado is fired from TNA.

Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy is about to happen when Eric Young shows up and expresses his displeasure with Jeff getting a World title shot. As he does, Bram attacks Jeff from behind, and Eric Young adds to the numbers game. Matt Hardy and Reby Sky watch from outside the ring, then Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) make the save. Crazzy Steve and Abyss show up, but Beer Money quickly take care of them and take their fight to the back. Matt Hardy then gets back into the ring, then Kurt Angle shows up and confronts Matt only to be attacked from behind by Tyrus. Matt Hardy then smacks Angle in the head with the TNA World Championship. Matt Hardy then walks away as Jeff Hardy fights off Bram and Eric Young, but Jeff is put through a table with an Eric Young piledriver.

Making an iMPACT! - Impact Wrestling recap for January 19, 2016

Jeff Hardy starts off tonight's show. He feels something is off about the deal Matt Hardy made to Ethan Carter III, and asks him to come to the ring. He does. Jeff knows he and Matt have become famous out of taking huge risks, and owes Matt so much, but he feels uneasy about tonight's main event. Matt feels he's let everyone down, but says tonight is the night for this. He knows Ethan Carter III uses his ego to get around, and decided to beat him at his own game by putting his TNA career on the line. He plans to beat EC3 at his own game and make everyone proud. Jeff understands, and says Matt still has a chance. Suddenly, Tyrus shows up and says that their dreams will become nightmares. He says Matt has made a mistake and that EC3 will take care of him, but says that Jeff made an even bigger mistake by insulting his intelligence, and challenges him right then and there. Hardy agrees, and they have their match right now.

Beer Money (Bobby Roode and "The Cowboy" James Storm) show up and call out Eric Young and Bram. Instead, they get Eli Drake and Jessie Godderz. When he asks who's next, Lashley appears. He says he respects Angle more than anyone else in the business for discovering him and helping him get into professional wrestling. He also remembers their match from this time last year, and even though Lashley lost, he says the match was incredible. He has looked back on it frequently, and he wants another match with Angle. Angle doesn't know if he can beat Lashley again, but he's up to challenge and grants him a rematch. Lashley then says "I'm gonna beat your ass, Kurt."

After the match, Matt Hardy says he beat the unbeaten Ethan Carter III and win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship for Matt Hardy. She then calls the fans "gnats," "ants," and "insignificant," then puts his wife Reby Sky on a pedestal and says Tyrus made the right business decision by turning on EC3. After saying that this is the beginning of "Big Money Matt," he places EC3 head on top of a steel chair, then smacks him in the head with another one before he, Reby and Tyrus head to the top of the entrance ramp and lift Matt's arms high in victory to end the show.

Before he can return to the topic at hand, however, Jeff Hardy shows up. Jeff says he's here to give him something he deserves: credit where it's due for beating Matt Hardy clean. He then hands EC3 a letter from his doctor. It's a doctor's note stating that he is clear for action, and Jeff wants his first match against Ethan Carter III. EC3 denies Jeff a title shot, saying he has to earn it. He then brings out an opponent after speaking to Bob Ryder through the camera: The Master of Motion, Shynron. Shynron plans to beat Jeff Hardy tonight. EC3 brings out a referee to make the match official, then guests on commentary for the match along with Tyrus.

Jeff Hardy beats Shynron.

Kong says that this is her house, and that Gail Kim has something she wants. Suddenly, The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne) show up and tell The Dollhouse that they should be worrying about them tonight, and that they don't have to jump people from behind to make a point. They then land the first blows in a backstage brawl.

When we come back from break, we find out that the backstage brawl between The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne) and The Dollhouse (Jade, Marti Bell, Rebel, Awesome Kong) has spilled over to the ring, and has officially become the start of the match.

Coming soon to TNA: Raquel...

Beer Money (Bobby Roode and "The Cowboy" James Storm) show up for their beer bash in celebration of reuniting after almost five years. Storm is glad he came back to TNA and reformed one of the best tag teams in TNA history. Roode reveals that the reason they broke up and got back together is their drive and passion to be the best, and that he was wrong for turning on Storm like he did. They apologize for a few more things (including Roode puking in Storm's cowboy hat) as they give a toast to each other and the fans. As they get rowdy and loud, Eric Young and Bram show up to spoil the fun, and after Eric Young brags about taking the World title from him and admitting he doesn't like Bram but does like the way he operates, he says that Roode has something that belongs to him: the TNA King of the Mountain Championship. Roode tells EY he'll beat him like a little bitch, and puts the title on the line...right here, right now.

Maria Kanellis and Michael Bennett meet up with Ethan Carter III and Tyrus backstage. Michael Bennett has kind words for EC3, but EC3 doesn't think as kindly of Bennett.

It's time for Mr. Anderson's new segment: "Huh?" The first guest ever on this segment is Matt Hardy, who is accompanied by Reby Sky and their son Maxell. Matt Hardy says the only reason he didn't beat Ethan Carter III for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship is because of Eric Young's piledriver. Anderson thinks he's making excuses, but Matt Hardy says he's being accountable and refuses to give up on winning the title again. Matt Hardy also says that he has EC3's number, and that Jeff Hardy won't be "doing his dirty work." He, Reby and Maxell leave after the interview becomes uncomfortable.

Christy Hemme interviews Drew Galloway, who says that a match with Kurt Angle has always been a childhood dream of his. He says he has to beat Angle tonight in order to prove he can be number one in TNA.

Tigre Uno and The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) beat Jessie Godderz, DJ Z and Eli Drake.

Making an iMPACT! - Impact Wrestling recap for January 5, 2015

Dixie Carter is in the ring. She thanks everyone for being here tonight, and TNA is now entering their fifteenth year on Pop Channel because Impact has made it all about the fans. She hopes this year is the best one yet. As she is about to talk about the World Title Series final four, Ethan Carter III and Tyrus show up. EC3 decides it's a good time to air his grievances, where he says that Dixie is jealous of his success. Dixie tells Ethan that he has become a monster after all he has recently done. Matt Hardy shows up and agrees with Dixie, saying that Ethan robbed him and not the other way around. He promises to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship back, but as he speaks, he is suddenly attacked from behind by his World Title Series semi-finals opponent, Eric Young. Young, EC3 and Tyrus gang up on Matt and attack him until Lashley shows up and makes the save. After this, EC3 and Tyrus attack Lashley wile EY and Matt Hardy fight with one another. Hardy takes out EY, then takes out EC3 and Tyrus from the top rope.

During the break, Eric Young hit Matt Hardy in the back with a chair. Officials separate the two before EY can do any more damage.

Ethan Carter III beats Lashley after Tyrus distracts Lashley and EC3 stacks Lashley up while grabbing the tights. EC3 goes on to the World Title Series finals.

Kurt Angle is here...

Bobby Roode hopes he can back it up with his open challenge, which is open to anyone from any promotion.

Kurt Angle shows up. He says that tonight is the night for the fan in all of us, and thanks the fans for everything for the last twenty years. He's faced off with so many greats in that time, and wants only the best opponents for his farewell tour. He then announces that he has picked Drew Galloway for his main event match next week as part of the tour. Galloway shows up and thanks Angle for the honor and privilege, then Jessie Godderz shows up, saying he is the veteran on Pop Network. Then, Eli Drake shows up and says Angle was told the wrong story, saying that he is the future of wrestling and not Drew Galloway. Angle has enough of Drake, and challenges him and Jessie Godderz to a fight with him and Galloway. Not long afterwards, Angle and Galloway send them packing.

Jeff Hardy tells Jeremy Borash that nothing will stop Matt Hardy from winning the TNA World Heavyweight Championship again.

Eric Young is in the ring. He says Matt Hardy is finished and that he is going to the finals. He then tells the referee to count Matt Hardy out when Matt Hardy shows up.

Matt Hardy defies the odds and beats Eric Young to continue to the finals of the World Title Series, shortly after Jeff Hardy gets taken down by EY while checking on Matt and Matt hits the Twist of Fate.

Eric Young goes ballistic backstage, saying that everything is unfairly stacked against him and that everyone will pay.

Ethan Carter III finally confronts Jeff Hardy for the first time since Slammiversary. Jeff tells EC3 that Matt will become TNA World Heavyweight Champion again.

Bram shows up after Bobby Roode, answering his open challenge and saying that 2016 will be his year.

Bobby Roode retains the TNA King of the Mountain Championship against Bram. After the match, Eric Young attacks Bobby Roode from behind, then he and Bram attack Bobby Roode. Roode is then saved by the last person even he would expect: James Storm, who hasn't been seen in TNA in months. Storm says he didn't like where he was going and left TNA because he wasn't having fun anymore, then says he couldn't take TNA being called "a disappointment." Storm then rekindles his friendship with Roode...and brings back Beer Money. Bobby Roode takes one of the beers from Storm's hand and accepts the offer.

Jeremy Borash interviews The Beautiful People (Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, Madison Rayne). Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne will be up against The Dollhouse (Rebel, Jade, Marti Bell), who are now officially minus Taryn Terell. Due to Angelina Love being seven-and-a-half months pregnant, someone else will be filling in for Angelina...and it's someone who really hates The Dollhouse...

"The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode tells Bram and Eric Young they're finishing this on pay-per-view on Friday night.

Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky's mystery partner for the next match is Gail Kim.

Gail Kim, Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky beat The Dollhouse (Rebel, Jade, Marti Bell). After the match, The Dollhouse attack Kim, Rayne until Awesome Kong shows up and...helps The Dollhouse. The Dollhouse then lift up Awesome Kong's massive arms in victory, implying that Kong has joined them.

The arena goes dark...and the first thing we see is "The First Lady of Wrestling" Maria Kanellis. She says that she has "The Miracle" that can fix professional wrestling...and that "miracle" is Michael Bennett. They both enter the ring, and Bennett says he is the miracle that will save TNA. He plans to change professional wrestling from stagnant to mainstream, and he plans to hold the TNA World Heavyweight Championship in his hands.

The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) walk in on Kurt Angle and Drew Galloway backstage, saying they want a match against both of them at One Night Only on Friday night. Jessie Godderz and Eli Drake, walk in, saying that Angle and Galloway should be taking them on instead. The Wolves ask if they want in on the match, and sure enough, they are in, making this a triple threat tag team match.

Before the finals of the World Title Series, Jeff Hardy asks Tyrus "if he trusts his boss enough to hit the bricks." Tyrus takes the microphone, says "Cool," then heads back to the back. Ethan Carter III and Matt Hardy are alone in the ring.

Match of the Day - 10/19/2015: Taryn Terrell vs. Gail Kim!

Taking it to TNA for today’s Match of the Day, where Taryn Terrell goes against Gail Kim in a Last Knockout Standing Match. This match took place at Slammiversary back in 2013, and it definitely put Taryn Terrell on the map as a competitor (Tiffany, anybody?). In my opinion, this match stole the entire show, which is rare in itself, since not many women’s wrestling matches achieve this feat on the major leagues level (WWE, TNA…). This is also marks the first of many great matches they would have against one another for the next two years, including a #1 Contenders Ladder Match.

Bobby Roode shows up. He is proud to be TNA King of the Mountain Champion, and says that the title represents professional wrestling. He plans to become a great fighting champion, and issues an open challenge for the title at Bound For Glory and prove he is the It Factor of professional wrestling. Match of the Day - 9/26/2015: Samoa Joe vs. Christopher Daniels vs. A.J. Styles!

Today's Match of the Day is the highly acclaimed three-way X Division Championship match of Christopher Daniels defending the title against A.J. Styles and Samoa Joe. This match is one of - if not the BEST match in TNA history. This match took place at TNA's Unbreakable event in 2005, and was rated a 5-Star Match by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. It was this match that not only got me hooked on TNA - but these three men in general. This match was absolutely incredible, and I know that you guys out there will enjoy it just as much - whether you ahve already watched or not.

The show begins with Jeremy Borash hosting a contract signing for the Lethal Lockdown match between TNA and GFW between Dixie Carter and Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett appears first with his wife, Karen, followed by Dixie. Both sides are allowed a few words, starting with Dixie. She finds it sad that the situation has come down to this, and insists that she never removed Jeff Jarrett from power and that Jeff left, and that she was hopeful they would together rewrite the ending for this company, but it is now all in the past. She's at the table for TNA, the fans and the roster that she's willing to invest in, and signs her contract. Karen tells Dixie she's delusional, and Dixie retorts by saying "And I'm not speaking with you." Jeff says that tonight is a moment in history, and that tonight the professional wrestling business forging forward. He brings up Eric Young allowing Chris Mordetzky to beat Drew Galloway last week, saying that EY is investing in him and Karen while he was still under TNA contract. Jeff says that the first dollar invested in TNA was his, and he has the right to be at the table. But he insists that Dixie Carter made a fatal mistake in removing him from power, and setting the wheels in motion for the hostile corporate takeover, which he plans to complete tonight with the Lethal Lockdown victory so he can assume the mantle of two professional wrestling companies. He plans to send Dixie Carter back to the outside of the wrestling business looking in, then signs his contract. After both contracts are placed in the briefcase, Jarrett grabs the briefcase, but Jeremy Borash says that the briefcase will be in a safe location until there is a winner. Jarrett then attacks Jeremy Borash, and Karen tells JB to keep the briefcase as she and Jeff will be coming back for it later.

Jeff Hardy brings Ethan Carter III and Tyrus to the arena. EC3 has another gift for him in the back, and Hardy takes it. The whole time, EC3 has Hardy do every little thing for him.

Bigfoot is in the front row during Mahabali Shera's entrance for a plug for Alaska Monsters on Destination America.

After talking about how he makes the TNA title look good, EC3 brings out Jeff Hardy, who is now in a suit with EC3's face plastered all over it as he carries the giant EC3 face on a stick to the ring. The fans chant "Hardy," and Hardy is told to ask the fans to stop chanting for him, and he does with little effort after initial reluctance, after EC3 tells him he needs the personal assistant job to support his family. Suddenly, Rockstar Spud appears and talks about how the current situation looks familiar, and says he'd wear the suit Hardy is wearing if it didn't have EC3's face on it. He says he came to EC3 for a job in TNA and did everything he had to do, but reminds him that his new personal assistant is, of course, Jeff Hardy, and says that he's garbage compared to Hardy. As the fans chant "You are garbage," he asks Spud if garbage is an undefeated TNA champion who has beaten everyone in his path and is something the company is built on, then hits Spud in the head with the mic. EC3, Hardy and Tyrus leave, but Spud attacks again as they do. Tyrus and EC3 attack Spud again, then EC3 orders Hardy to hit Spud...and he does, with Hardy telling Spud that he's sorry before he hits him.

Hardy also gets a first-day gift: a giant EC3 head on a stick, which he has to hold up at all times. EC3 then gives Hardy a few index cards to read off, which put EC3 on a pedestal. We also find out that Matt Hardy is in action tonight, tagging with Rockstar Spud against Ethan Carter III and Tyrus. That match is next.

Jeff and Karen Jarrett show up. They say that Team GFW is ready to win the match between Drew Galloway and Chris Mordetzky and complete their hostile corporate takeover of TNA. He then calls out Bobby Roode, demanding he return the King of the Mountain title to Global Force Wrestling. Roode shows up, and Jarrett demands the title back, but Roode refuses, saying the title belongs to TNA and the TNA fans. Roode is about to fight Jarrett, but Karen stops it, telling Jeff that he's jeapordizing everything if he fights Roode, and telling Roode that he should be more concerned about securing his spot now that he's a week away from answering to Jeff. Karen goes on to say that Roode and Dixie Carter are both outnumbered, as is TNA, and says that Roode should consider teaming up with Jarrett like he has time and again. Karen then tells Jeff that they're leaving, and they do.

Eli Drake talks with Kenny King and Jessie Godderz. Drew McIntyre asks them if they know what's going on, but they don't care as they're going to be here regardless of who wins between TNA and GFW. He introduces three men who will fight for TNA: Tigre Uno, Robbie E and Micah. They brush them off, but this starts a brawl between the two groups that officials have to break up.

Brooke fights off Lei'D Tapa outside the ring, and the match ends with Brooke retaining the Knockouts title and beating Gail Kim by disqualification after Tapa hits Brooke in the back of the head with the Knockouts title. Gail Kim fights off Lei'D Tapa but is easily overpowered. Awesome Kong shows up after that, and both women stare down in the center of the ring before getting into a big brawl. Neither woman can take the other down, and after a body slam from Tapa, Kong gets right back up and does one of her own before sending Tapa out of the ring.

Team GFW is backstage, staying focused for tonight. Jarrett tells them that he has something special for them later tonight.

Jeff Hardy and Drew Galloway talk about the TNA-GFW feud backstage, but Ethan Carter III and Tyrus tells him it's not their fight, that they have dinner reservations and that Hardy has gear to clean.

The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) beat Brian Myers and Trevor Lee to take back the TNA Tag Team Championships, thanks to a little help from...Earl Hebner? Hebner shows up after Sonjay Dutt shows up and drags the first ref out of the ring to beat him up. Hebner shows up, hits Sonjay Dutt in the face with a solid right and counts the pinfall for The Wolves.

Chris Melendez may no longer have his prosthetic leg, but he's not done with Eric Young just yet.

Chris Melendez shows up. He's still ready to kick some ass despite not having his prosthetic leg (and being on his last leg), and calls out Eric Young, saying he's ready to go. Eric Young shows up with the prosthetic leg, which has been desecrated with tape with the words "E.Y." and "MY LEG" written on it. He says that if an American hero looks like Chris Melendez, then he doesn't want to be a hero. He considers Kurt Angle his hero, and is honored that Angle introduced him to TNA, saying he wants to give back to him 200%. He says that acclimating to USA has not been easy, especially with no friends and no family. He explains his time in The Revolution, saying he did not like the name "Khoya," and tells "The Cowboy" James Storm that he will beat him and show him who he truly his.

Chris Mordetzky beats Drew Galloway in a lumberjack match to gain the one-man advantage for Team GFW next week. Near the end of the match, the lumberjacks brawled, and Jeff Jarrett tried to smash a guitar into Drew Galloway's head. Eric Young shows up and grabs the guitar to stop Jarrett, but Young smacks the guitar into Galloway's head anyway.

Wednesday Night iMPACT! - Impact Wrestling recap for September 2, 2015

Jeff and Karen Jarrett show up with the Global Force Wrestling roster. He tells Dixie Carter that he tried to help her, and he did help her with the TNA-GFW super-show. Karen then tells Jeff that she did what she did and that it needed to be done because she wanted to make sure he got what he deserved, saying she knows how much Jeff loves TNA as well as his family, and says she asked Chris Adonis to take out Bully Ray and Drew Galloway. Jeff then thanks Karen personally for "setting the wheels in motion" so he can take back what is his and starting a corporate hostile takeover. He plans to start another wrestling empire, and TNA - which he still has partial ownership in - is right in the center of it. He tells Dixie and "the boys in the back" that nobody can compete with the GFW roster, and they're going to prove it. Chris "The Adonis" Mordetzky takes the microphone and says that the GFW is not impressed with what the TNA locker room has to offer. He challenges anyone in the TNA locker room to come to the ring and face him. Lashley answers the challenge.

Lashley beats Chris "The Adonis" Mordetzky by disqualification when the Global Force Wrestling attacks Lashley after he lands the Spear on Mordetzky. The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) try to help Lashley out, but they are easily overcome by the numbers game. Jeff Jarrett asks his wife Karen Jarrett to come out with "the little special surprise."

We find out that Jeff and Karen Jarrett's "little special surprise" is the Feast or Fired Briefcase containing the shot at the TNA World Tag Team Championships. The briefcase was taken and held by Magnus, who since left TNA to go to GFW, and Karen says that Magnus gave the briefcase to her. Jeff Jarrett primes Brian Myers and Trevor Lee to take the tag team titles, but Earl Hebner refuses to cash in the briefcase for Jarrett. Jarrett and Hebner fight, and Jarrett easily overpowers him. A few members of the GFW roster bring a reluctant Steve Stifler in to cash in the briefcase and referee the match.

Brian Myers and Trevor Lee beat The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) to win the TNA World Tag Team Championships after Eddie Edwards is hit in the head with the Feast or Fired Briefcase by the rest of the Global Wrestling Force roster.

Bobby Roode could care less about the choas being caused by Global Force Wrestling in the ring, and is tired of being disrespected. He plans to take the King of the Mountain title from PJ Black.

Jeremy Borash interviews Ethan Carter III and Tyrus. After some youth literature puns involving The Hardy Boys and Choose Your Own Adventure, EC3 says he plans to retain against Matt Hardy and tells Jeff Hardy he likes his coffee hot, his women brunettes, and both his title reign and undefeated streak intact.

Dixie Carter has entered the arena...

Before the next match, Bobby Roode tells PJ Black to look around the arena and tells him that this is TNA, that he's a TNA original and that he has built everything he sees before him for the last 10+ years...and that he's earned the respect that he's been given. Roode doesn't know what's going on with Global Force Wrestling, but this is his, TNA's and the fans' house, and he promises to kick his ass and become King of the Mountain Champion.

Bobby Roode beats PJ Black to win the TNA King of the Mountain Championship after Drew Galloway stops Sonjay Dutt from interfering in the match. After the match, Jeff Jarrett and the Global Force Wrestling roster rush into the ring, but Roode gets out of dodge. Jarrett tells Dixie Carter that he and GFW aren't leaving until he takes back what is his and - according to Jarrett - stole from him. Dixie Carter shows up, flabbergasted at Jarrett's accusations, and tells him that all she wanted was to work by his side. Jarrett says he and Carter were a very successful team until she took his power and replaced him a series of failed regimes. He says the days of failed regimes are over, and that GFW will complete the take-over. Carter reminds Jarrett that he left TNA and she has stayed in the fight that continues to this day, and that Jarrett removed himself from power, not her. Dixie admits Jarrett taught her a lot about wrestling, but that he also taught her a lot about ego, especially when he took his ball and went home. Carter acknowledges Jarrett still has ownership in the company, and proposes a match where she puts her ownership at stake and the winner gets both her majority shares and Jarrett's shares in the company. Jarrett is willing to take the challenge, but says Dixie has nobody behind her. Drew Galloway shows up again, and tells Jarrett that he and GFW can go straight to hell, and that he's here to stand up for Dixie and TNA. The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) and Lashley, show up when Galloway says that if they want a hostile take-over, they're "going to have to go through all of us." Galloway deems them "Team TNA," and tells Jarrett and GFW to fashion the white flag of surrender.

Backstage, Jeff Jarrett tells the Global Force Wrestling roster to keep the fight going.

The 2016 TNA Knockouts Calendar is available right now at TNA Shop.

Kenny King is in the ring. He says he has been going through a bit of an identity crisis in the past year, and has come to the realization that he doesn't want to be the king who sukcer punches a man when he's not looking, relies on outside interference, and doesn't take orders and happens to be a leader. He decides to bring back Open Fight Night (in a way) and issues an open challenge to anyone in the back, regardless of whether they're from TNA or Global Force Wrestling. Bram answers the challenge, and both men take the fight to the ramp before the bell can even ring.

Bram beats Kenny King.

Jeremy Borash interviews The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy). They know that Ethan Carter III loves to play the manipulator, and Matt says that Jeff's belief in him fuels him. Matt plans to take the TNA World Heavyweight Championship from EC3.

Velvet Sky shows up. She says that she's been keeping to herself ever since her return due to the changing landscape of TNA and the Knockouts Division. She says she's changed with it, then addresses The Dollhouse (Taryn Terrell, Jade, Marti Bell, Rebel), which she says is more out of control than ever before. She calls out Taryn, saying that she's going to make her wish she never knew her. Taryn appears...on the TitanTron. Taryn is tired of being compared to her, and says she's never crossed path her because she'd destroy her on every level. She tells Velvet that The Dollhouse will tear her apart, and sics them on Velvet. Velvet tells them that they didn't bring enough people with them, and decides to fight them anyway. Not surprisingly, she falls victim to the numbers game, but all of a sudden, Angelina Love and Madison Rayne show up and even the odds. The Beautiful People have fully re-united, and make it crystal clear to The Dollhouse that they're back for them.

Backstage, Dixie Carter tells Drew Galloway, Lashley and The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) that she has to put it all on the line and take complete control of the company.

Ethan Carter III retains the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Matt Hardy, after a low blow that the ref could not see when EC3 was pushed into him. As per the stipulations of the match, Jeff Hardy has to be EC3's personal assistant. Jeff reluctantly raises EC3's hand in victory.
