Wednesday Night iMPACT! - Impact Wrestling recap for September 2, 2015

Jeff and Karen Jarrett show up with the Global Force Wrestling roster. He tells Dixie Carter that he tried to help her, and he did help her with the TNA-GFW super-show. Karen then tells Jeff that she did what she did and that it needed to be done because she wanted to make sure he got what he deserved, saying she knows how much Jeff loves TNA as well as his family, and says she asked Chris Adonis to take out Bully Ray and Drew Galloway. Jeff then thanks Karen personally for "setting the wheels in motion" so he can take back what is his and starting a corporate hostile takeover. He plans to start another wrestling empire, and TNA - which he still has partial ownership in - is right in the center of it. He tells Dixie and "the boys in the back" that nobody can compete with the GFW roster, and they're going to prove it. Chris "The Adonis" Mordetzky takes the microphone and says that the GFW is not impressed with what the TNA locker room has to offer. He challenges anyone in the TNA locker room to come to the ring and face him. Lashley answers the challenge.

Lashley beats Chris "The Adonis" Mordetzky by disqualification when the Global Force Wrestling attacks Lashley after he lands the Spear on Mordetzky. The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) try to help Lashley out, but they are easily overcome by the numbers game. Jeff Jarrett asks his wife Karen Jarrett to come out with "the little special surprise."

We find out that Jeff and Karen Jarrett's "little special surprise" is the Feast or Fired Briefcase containing the shot at the TNA World Tag Team Championships. The briefcase was taken and held by Magnus, who since left TNA to go to GFW, and Karen says that Magnus gave the briefcase to her. Jeff Jarrett primes Brian Myers and Trevor Lee to take the tag team titles, but Earl Hebner refuses to cash in the briefcase for Jarrett. Jarrett and Hebner fight, and Jarrett easily overpowers him. A few members of the GFW roster bring a reluctant Steve Stifler in to cash in the briefcase and referee the match.

Brian Myers and Trevor Lee beat The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) to win the TNA World Tag Team Championships after Eddie Edwards is hit in the head with the Feast or Fired Briefcase by the rest of the Global Wrestling Force roster.

Bobby Roode could care less about the choas being caused by Global Force Wrestling in the ring, and is tired of being disrespected. He plans to take the King of the Mountain title from PJ Black.

Jeremy Borash interviews Ethan Carter III and Tyrus. After some youth literature puns involving The Hardy Boys and Choose Your Own Adventure, EC3 says he plans to retain against Matt Hardy and tells Jeff Hardy he likes his coffee hot, his women brunettes, and both his title reign and undefeated streak intact.

Dixie Carter has entered the arena...

Before the next match, Bobby Roode tells PJ Black to look around the arena and tells him that this is TNA, that he's a TNA original and that he has built everything he sees before him for the last 10+ years...and that he's earned the respect that he's been given. Roode doesn't know what's going on with Global Force Wrestling, but this is his, TNA's and the fans' house, and he promises to kick his ass and become King of the Mountain Champion.

Bobby Roode beats PJ Black to win the TNA King of the Mountain Championship after Drew Galloway stops Sonjay Dutt from interfering in the match. After the match, Jeff Jarrett and the Global Force Wrestling roster rush into the ring, but Roode gets out of dodge. Jarrett tells Dixie Carter that he and GFW aren't leaving until he takes back what is his and - according to Jarrett - stole from him. Dixie Carter shows up, flabbergasted at Jarrett's accusations, and tells him that all she wanted was to work by his side. Jarrett says he and Carter were a very successful team until she took his power and replaced him a series of failed regimes. He says the days of failed regimes are over, and that GFW will complete the take-over. Carter reminds Jarrett that he left TNA and she has stayed in the fight that continues to this day, and that Jarrett removed himself from power, not her. Dixie admits Jarrett taught her a lot about wrestling, but that he also taught her a lot about ego, especially when he took his ball and went home. Carter acknowledges Jarrett still has ownership in the company, and proposes a match where she puts her ownership at stake and the winner gets both her majority shares and Jarrett's shares in the company. Jarrett is willing to take the challenge, but says Dixie has nobody behind her. Drew Galloway shows up again, and tells Jarrett that he and GFW can go straight to hell, and that he's here to stand up for Dixie and TNA. The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) and Lashley, show up when Galloway says that if they want a hostile take-over, they're "going to have to go through all of us." Galloway deems them "Team TNA," and tells Jarrett and GFW to fashion the white flag of surrender.

Backstage, Jeff Jarrett tells the Global Force Wrestling roster to keep the fight going.

The 2016 TNA Knockouts Calendar is available right now at TNA Shop.

Kenny King is in the ring. He says he has been going through a bit of an identity crisis in the past year, and has come to the realization that he doesn't want to be the king who sukcer punches a man when he's not looking, relies on outside interference, and doesn't take orders and happens to be a leader. He decides to bring back Open Fight Night (in a way) and issues an open challenge to anyone in the back, regardless of whether they're from TNA or Global Force Wrestling. Bram answers the challenge, and both men take the fight to the ramp before the bell can even ring.

Bram beats Kenny King.

Jeremy Borash interviews The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy). They know that Ethan Carter III loves to play the manipulator, and Matt says that Jeff's belief in him fuels him. Matt plans to take the TNA World Heavyweight Championship from EC3.

Velvet Sky shows up. She says that she's been keeping to herself ever since her return due to the changing landscape of TNA and the Knockouts Division. She says she's changed with it, then addresses The Dollhouse (Taryn Terrell, Jade, Marti Bell, Rebel), which she says is more out of control than ever before. She calls out Taryn, saying that she's going to make her wish she never knew her. Taryn appears...on the TitanTron. Taryn is tired of being compared to her, and says she's never crossed path her because she'd destroy her on every level. She tells Velvet that The Dollhouse will tear her apart, and sics them on Velvet. Velvet tells them that they didn't bring enough people with them, and decides to fight them anyway. Not surprisingly, she falls victim to the numbers game, but all of a sudden, Angelina Love and Madison Rayne show up and even the odds. The Beautiful People have fully re-united, and make it crystal clear to The Dollhouse that they're back for them.

Backstage, Dixie Carter tells Drew Galloway, Lashley and The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) that she has to put it all on the line and take complete control of the company.

Ethan Carter III retains the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Matt Hardy, after a low blow that the ref could not see when EC3 was pushed into him. As per the stipulations of the match, Jeff Hardy has to be EC3's personal assistant. Jeff reluctantly raises EC3's hand in victory.
