Tonight's show begins with Miz TV. Tonight's special guests are Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Sami Zayn is the first person to be introduced. The Miz wants to know "Who is Sami Zayn?" As soon as Sami talks about himself, however, Miz cuts him off, wanting to know about his rivalry with Kevin Owens. As before, Sami Zayn doesn't know when the rivalry between him and Owens started, especially given their friendship together. The Miz introduces Kevin Owens, who shows up on his own time and says he did what he did in NXT to further his career, and has nothing to do with their history. However, he says what Sami Zayn did on Monday was personal, and that he is the victim, not Sami. Sami says he's here to stay, and his first order of business is to take the Intercontinental Championship from Owens at WrestleMania 32. Kevin Owens tells him this isn't NXT, this is The Kevin Owens Show, and that it just won't be happening. When Sami challenges Owens right here and now, Owens calls Sami Zayn delusional, and is about to leave when Neville shows up. Neville tells Owens they have some unfinished business, and that the Intercontinental Championship would look good around his waist. The Miz butts in, saying this is his show, that Neville is not an approved guest and that he should be the one getting a shot at the title considering that he's main evented WrestleMania. Zayn tells him to stay out of this, as this doesn't concern him and his days of main eventing WrestleMania are far, far behind him. 2x07: "Death Comes in Threes"

The Mack meets with Sexy Star in the locker room. He has a match with Marty "The Moth" Martinez and wants her at ringside, but she initially refuses due to what "The Moth" put her through. The Mack says this isn't like her, and says the Sexy Star he knows is a fearless ass-kicker. Sexy Star changes her mind, and she and The Mack fist bump.

During The Mack vs. Marty "The Moth" Martinez, we meet a woman in an elaborate moth costume as a strange music box melody plays. She distracts not only Sexy Star, but also The Mack, and Marty "The Moth" Martinez is able to beat The Mack. We find out that this woman is Marty's sister, Mariposa. Sexy Star, hiding and afraid behind the post, easily falls victim to an attack from Mariposa.

We get a closer look at Fenix, who grew up and prepared for competition in Lucha Underground despite all the naysayers and has now made a name for himself.

Jack "The Dragonslayer" Evans is confronted by Drago backstage. Drago makes quick work of a light fixture, then dares Evans to slay him now...but "The Darewolf" PJ Black, still sore from last week, joins in on the fun. After all three men pull out their nunchaku, Drago almost makes quick work of them, but Evans and Black get the upper hand. All of a sudden, Aerostar shows up and saves Drago with some light-up nunchaku action of his own, and Aerostar and Drago join forces.

Before the next match, Taya shows up in place of Johnny Mundo, and says that since Johnny kicked Cage's ass, it's time for her to do the same. After she introduces herself, she asks Cage if he has to balls to go face-to-face with her.

Despite much interference, weaponry and double-teaming from Johnny Mundo, Cage stills beats Taya in a no-disqualification match.

Makin' an iMPACT - Impact Wrestling recap for March 8, 2016

Dixie Carter is in the ring, with the locker room surrounding the ring. Tonight is the last time we will see Kurt Angle wrestle in TNA as he squares off against Lashley tonight. She introduces Angle one last time, and says she'll never forget the time he made his TNA debut, as well as what he's done for the company. Drew Galloway thanks Angle not only for their recent match but for all that he's done for the TNA locker room. Kurt says he came here ten years ago to find himself, and says he has become a better person. After he thanks everyone for everything, Lashley shows up. He says that today will be a rough day, but also a great experience for everyone here, and is happy to have faced the man who got him into the business. After thanking Angle, he says the only sad thing is that Angle isn't ready to wrestle him, as an attempt to get into Angle's head.

Eric Young retains the TNA King of the Mountain Championship against Bram, Jimmy Havoc, Big Damo and Will Ospreay.

We look back at Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe at Genesis 2006.

Dixie Carter runs into Maria Kanellis, who tells her that "The Miracle" Mike Bennett is calling her out, and asks her to listen to what he has to say. She also wants a leadership position in the Knockouts division, and asks Dixie to get his assistant a call. Dixie tells Maria she saw what happened last week between her and Gail Kim, and that she believes in actions rather than words. Maria is not impressed as Dixie walks away.

Maria Kanellis and "The Miracle" Mike Bennett are in the ring. Bennett says TNA needs him now more than ever, and that Kurt Angle ducked and cheap-shotted him on his way out the door. He then says the miracle here is that he will be named the #1 contender to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, and that he will go on to win the World title and save pro wrestling. When he calls out Dixie Carter, however, he gets Drew Galloway, who calls him out on his entitlement complex, and tells him to stop running his mouth like a little bitch and earn his title shot. Bennett then says that he carries around the Feast or Fired briefcase like it was handed to him, then tells Drew to get Dixie for him. Galloway turns around as if to do that, then turns around and punches Bennett in the face. After a short brawl, Bennett retreats.

We look back at the King of the Mountain match from Slammiversary 2007.

The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) thank Kurt Angle personally backstage. We look back at the Kurt Angle Hall of Fame Tribute before Bound For Glory 2013.

Lashley confronts Drew Galloway backstage. He tells Drew that after Kurt Angle leaves, there will be a new top dog in town...and it won't be Drew Galloway.

We see some Twitter videos where TNA fans thank Kurt Angle for everything he's done for TNA.

Mike Bennett meets up with Kurt Angle backstage, saying he could have wrestled him instead of Lashley in his last match. Angle tells Bennett he'll wish he never comes back, and makes it clear he can tear him up if he does.

Grado shows up, saying he has proof that he was screwed out of his job. Eli Drake and Jessie Godderz show up, and says he'll bash Eli Drake in the head with his Feast or Fired backstage so much it'll knock some sense into him. Jessie says they'll put him out of his misery so the TNA audience won't have to deal with him anymore. They go on the attack, and when Mahabali Shera shows up to help Grado out, Eli Drake hits Shera in the back with the briefcase. When he re-focuses on Grado, however, he accidentally hits Jessie Godders with his Feast or Fired briefcase when Grado ducks. Grado grabs the briefcase and takes Eli Drake down, then runs off with it.

We see a video tribute package to Kurt Angle.

Lashley beats Kurt Angle in Angle's final TNA match. Lashley and Angle show respect after the match, then Lashley attacks Angle. Drew Galloway and Eddie Edwards confront Lashley only to get Speared. Ethan Carter III then shows up and stares Lashley down, and Lashley responds by leaving the ring with a look of malicious glee on his face.

We hear the gong of 'Taker's theme, followed by Vince's theme. Vince shows up, and the crowd calls him an asshole before chanting for CM Punk. Vince says there is fear in Shane's eyes, and that he will feel that fear at WrestleMania 32. As soon as he says he'll be a fighting champion, Triple H shows up. He says the World Heavyweight Championship will be around his waist as long as he allows it to be. Dean Ambrose tells Triple H to suck it, but Triple H says "Roadblock" is just a name from marketing and that Ambrose is a speed bump or pothole at best. He also says Ambrose has the same problem with authority as Roman Reigns. After more insults tossed back and forth, Ambrose dares Triple H to get in the ring. Triple H says he'll do it only on his time, then puts Ambrose in a match later tonight against Bray Wyatt to teach him a lesson that "The Authority always wins."
