The Code of Honor - Ring of Honor Wrestling recap for October 31, 2015

Kyle O'Reilly vows revenge on Adam Cole for screwing him out of the ROH World Champion at All-Star Extravaganza!

Mark Briscoe and ROH matchmaker Nigel McGuiness will be on commentary throughout the episode.

During their tag team match with The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson), Silas Young says that the Bucks were originally supposed to face The Boys (The Tate Twins), and since he and The Beer City Bruiser fought some of the battle for them, he forces them to "finish" it against the Bucks.

The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) beats The Boys (The Tate Twins - Brandon & Brent), who are decked out in less flashy attire, may I add. Despite doing their best in the match  - Silas and BCB attack the Boys, but the Young Bucks come to their aid by superkicking Beer City Bruiser, but Silas escapes.

Back from commercial, BJ Whitmer taunts Nigel McGuiness to leave ringside, but Mark Briscoe jumps to his defense.

Kevin Kelly announces that Nigel McGuiness was handed "papers" earlier today, which means that Veda Scott is filing a lawsuit of some sort against Ring of Honor.

Styles, holding up both his championships to end the show.

Roman Reigns shows up. He has one goal right now: to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. He says he's been knocked down a lot, and that there's nobody else who wants him to fail more than Seth Rollins. Suddenly, Kevin Owens shows up, and calls Roman Reigns' victory in the Fatal Four-Way match on Monday night a fluke, saying he was this close to winning it. Rollins tells him it was straight skill, and challenges Owens to a match. A referee gets in the ring, and after a bit of hesitation, Owens takes the challenge. This starts the match.

Roman Reigns beats Kevin Owens by count-out after Owens retreats from the match through the crowd.

Renee Young (dressed as Tinkerbell) gets a surprise encounter with Dean Ambrose, who says he is answering The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman) challege tonight, and is interested in who else steps up. Also, Bo Dallas - or "Boo" Dallas, if you prefer - tries to dress up in a ghost sheet and scare Renee. It doesn't work.

Dolph Ziggler beats The Miz in a Trick-Or-Treat Street Fight after reversing a Figure Four Leg Lock into an inside cradle. After the match, Tyler Breeze shows up with Summer Rae and both Ziggler and Breeze brawl. Breeze takes advantage of Ziggler's hurt knee, however, and easily takes him down even as officials try to keep Breeze away from Ziggler.

Paige beats Natalya after Team BAD (Naomi, Tamina, Sasha Banks) shows up and distracts Natalya, saying she has their attention. Paige takes advantage by hitting a Rampaige for the win. After the match, Team BAD circle Natalya and attack her before Sasha applies the Banks Statement on her.

Dean Ambrose runs into Ryback in the training room. Ryback also gets in on the match against The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman).

Earlier today, Kevin Owens was outside the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. He makes fun of sports and says he doesn't follow them, but he still knows "that the Lakers suck" even though everyone still grovels over them and calls Magic Jordan "Magic Jackson" when referring to the Magic statue outside of the arena, which he is standing in front of them. He then says he will make tonight "The Kevin Owens Show" and retain the Intercontinental Championship against Ryback as he proves that he is "the King of Los Angeles."

John Cena shows up to start the show proper. He goes straight to the open challenge for the WWE United States Championship...which is answered by...Zeb Colter? Zeb Colter is back, this time in a Hoveround, and announces Cena's challenger, whom he says will do more with the title than even Cena has ever had: Alberto Del Rio, who hasn't been seen in WWE for over a year.

Alberto Del Rio beats John Cena to win the WWE United States Championship!

Roman Reigns beats Bray Wyatt in a Hell In A Cell match after sending Wyatt eye-first into a kendo stick stuck in the turnbuckles and hits the Spear.

Kofi Kingston thanks the fans for all their support, and says that Xavier Woods would play a song of gratitude if he were here right now. Big E makes fun of the Los Angeles Lakers before saying the trombone is all that is left of Woods and that trombone players mourn his loss. They then plede to play drums on The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) "like a Caucasian Kamala."

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) retain the WWE Tag Team Championships against The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) after Kofi tries to trick the referee into giving The New Day a win by disqualification after making it look like Bubba Ray hit him with Xavier's trombone a la Eddie Guerrero. It doesn't work, and the Dudleys have the match won until Big E gets D-Von out of the way by using the trombone as a weapon behind the referee's back and Kofi hits Trouble in Paradise on Bubba Ray.

After the match, 'Taker is somehow able to get up under his own power, and Brock Lesnar stumbles to the floor once on his way out. Before 'Taker can close the show, The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman) shows up and surround Undertaker before attacking him. After the beating, the fearsome foursome carry 'Taker to the back to end the show.

Paige is in the ring. She's here to clear the air concerning the attack on Natalya last week, and asks Charlotte and Becky Lynch to come out. They do, but Charlotte and Becky are the ones asking the questions, and Charlotte chalks up Paige's recent actions since the Divas Championship celebration to jealousy. Suddenly, Team Bella (Brie and Nikki Bella, Alicia Fox) show up and mock the three of them for their infighting. Charlotte wants to go, but Paige butts in and says if they want Charlotte, they'll have to go through her first. Nikki accepts the challenge, setting up a match between Nikki Bella and Paige.

Wrestler of the Day - 9/20: Hiroshi Tanahashi!

Today’s Wrestler of the Day is one of the most decorated wrestlers in the history of Puroresu, the legendary Hiroshi Tanahashi!

Gotta be honest here, Tanahashi would not be more popular if it had not be for a real-life incident which he was stabbed in the back (LITERALLY) by his TV personality girlfriend he was dating at the time. Before this sudden incident, however, he was one the rise as one of the top young prospects in New Japan Pro Wrestling in his early days. Since the incident (which may have been the best thing that has happened to his career), Tanahashi has went to become one of the most decorated wrestlers in the history of Puroresu in Japan. He has been given the moniker “Once in a Century Talent” due to his numerous classics, championship wins, and title defenses, where he holds the most title defenses with the IWGP Heavyweight title in a single reign, with 11. His more recent classics have been against the likes of Kazuchika Okada, Katsuyori Shibata and Shinsuke Nakamura.

Here’s one of my favorite Tanahashi matches, against Kazuchika Okada!

Gettin' RAW - Monday Night RAW recap for October 19, 2015

During the pre-show, it is announced that Corporate Kane is suspended from tonight's show.

"Stone Cold" Steven Austin shows up to start tonight's show. He's glad to be back in Dallas, Texas after years of stomping mudholes in people's asses in the town. He reminds everyone about tonight's episode of the Stone Cold Podcast, then introduces a man that he goes a long way back with: the Undertaker. The Undertaker shows up, and he has a microphone in his hand. He tells Brock Lesnar that the depths of Hell will look like the gates to Heaven compared to where he's taking him this Sunday. Suddenly, Lesnar shows up along with Paul Heyman, who says that Undertaker simply lusts for revenge after the death of The Streak at WrestleMania 30, and says Lesnar took everything from him. The Undertaker tells Heyman that when he takes everything away from a man, that man has nothing to lose...and that this was his mistake. Heyman turns around to leave, but Brock Lesnar slowly heads into the ring and leaps onto the apron. Heyman tells Lesnar not to fight him, as 'Taker has gotten into his head. Lesnar smiles, then leaps off the apron and leaves with Heyman.

Before the next match, The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) say they're like unicorns as they have brought magic back to the WWE. They then calle everything in the town of Dallas "booty."

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) beat John Cena and The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) after D-Von is distracted and Xavier Woods grabs the tights. After the match, Cena and the Dudleys fight off The New Day, and Xavier Woods goes through a table again.

Randy Orton is unable to appear tonight due to an injury, supposedly at the hands of The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Braun Strowman). As a result, he is out of the kick-off match for Hell in a Cell and Dean Ambrose will have to find a new tag team partner for tonight.

Renee Young interviews Dean Ambrose. He doesn't want to wait until Sunday and wants to fight Luke Harper and Braun Strowman right now.

Team Bella (Nikki Bella and Alicia Fox) beat Team BAD (Naomi and Sasha Banks).

Corporate Kane is suspended from tonight's show after his actions last week.

Shawn Michaels shows up. He talks about how he was in the first Hell in a Cell Match with The Undertaker way back when, and mentions Sunday night's Hell in a Cell matches. Suddenly, Seth Rollins shows up. He says that The Heartbreak Kid should have started off the second hour of the show by introducing him. Shawn calls Seth a buzzkill, but Seth says the order to introduce him came from Triple H, and then goes on to say that Seth should be talking about him before calling himself "Shawn Michaels version 2" and saying that he's better than the original. Shawn finds this funny, as he was too busy being one of the greatest to ever live to worry about being the second coming of anything. After Shawn namedrops Kane, Seth says that Shawn is jealous of him as his World Heavyweight Championship win eclipsed all of Shawn's WrestleMania moments put together. Seth tells the guys in the back to hit his music, but they don't do it. Shawn tells him that when you're version 2 of anything, they won't do it, and says that Seth isn't going anywhere as he has a match Ryback tonight...and it's up next. Shawn then tells the guys in the back to hit his music...and they do.

Seth Rollins beats Ryback.

Sheamus, Rusev and King Barrett beat Dolph Ziggler, Neville and Cesaro.

This Thursday on SmackDown: Dolph Ziggler and Summer Rae guest on Miz TV!

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair is in the ring. He announces that Dean Ambrose is teaming up with Roman Reigns tonight. Roman Reigns shows up, and as soon as he does, The Wyatt Family suddenly make their entrance. Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman are there, but in a strange twist, Erick Rowan is suddenly back from injury and has strangely replaced Luke Harper with absolutely no explanation as to why. Roman gets two chairs ready, and invites Wyatt to the ring. Wyatt carefully gets in the ring and sits down. Roman calls Wyatt a bully, and says that he gets off on 3-on-1 attacks on him. He tells Wyatt that he should be afraid of him as he pushes him repeatedly, then attacks Wyatt before Wyatt can attack him. He takes down Wyatt, Rowan (who is finally mentioned by commentary) and Strowman, and Ambrose rushes in to back up Roman. The Wyatts retreat.

Backstage, Seth Rollins, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have watched the recent promo, and Triple H and Stephanie don't want a handicap match between The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman) and the team of Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. Rollins volunteers himself to be the third man to go up against The Wyatts after a proposal - and some coaxing - from Shawn Michaels.

Charlotte beats Brie Bella with the Figure Eight.

Renee Young interviews Paige, who dances around all of her questions, especially about whether or not she attacked Natalya. Paige says it could be anybody, including any past Divas. She tells Renee to get her facts straight.

Kevin Owens beats Mark Henry. After the match, Ryback shows up and Owens tries to flee, but Henry tosses Owens right back into the ring and into the arms of a waiting Ryback, who hits him with a huge powerbomb.

Renee Young interviews Seth Rollins, who insists that the next match is not a Shield reunion and that it is about proving he is "the man." He also says he will destroy Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns again if he has to.

John Cena will defend the WWE United States Championship in an open challenge, and Dolph Ziggler, Neville and Cesaro have a rematch against Sheamus, King Barrett and Rusev...both at Hell in a Cell. (The six-man tag match replaces Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton vs. Luke Harper and Braun Strowman as the kick-off match.)

The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) vs. The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman) ends with Ambrose saving Reigns by whacking Strowman with a kendo stick. During the match, Seth Rollins supposedly injures his knee, leaps off the apron and retreats to the back. Both sides fight after the match, and Ambrose and Reigns come out on top after Reigns hits Spears on both Wyatt and Rowan.

Here are the top ten moments from tonight's show!

Match of the Day - 10/19/2015: Taryn Terrell vs. Gail Kim!

Taking it to TNA for today’s Match of the Day, where Taryn Terrell goes against Gail Kim in a Last Knockout Standing Match. This match took place at Slammiversary back in 2013, and it definitely put Taryn Terrell on the map as a competitor (Tiffany, anybody?). In my opinion, this match stole the entire show, which is rare in itself, since not many women’s wrestling matches achieve this feat on the major leagues level (WWE, TNA…). This is also marks the first of many great matches they would have against one another for the next two years, including a #1 Contenders Ladder Match.

Wrestler of the Day - 10/19: Melina!

Today’s Wrestler of the Day is one of the all-time great WWE Divas (Yeah, I said it), Melina!

Known for her primal screams and incredible flexibility, Melina was one of the premier Divas – face or heel during her six-year run with WWE. Melina got her start with the egotistic and fame junkie faction of MNM (Mercury, Nitro, Melina). Since then, she has went on to become a five-time Women’s Champion, holding both the WWE Divas (2x) and now defunct Women’s Championship (3x). She also made history on several occasions, being one of the first Divas to compete in Falls Count Anywhere and “I Quit!” Matches. Her impressive arsenal has garnered praise from fans and critics alike, and even Bret “The Hitman” Hart heralded her as one of the best wrestlers in the world, regardless of gender. She recently made an unannounced debut on Lucha Underground, interfering on the behalf of her longtime on-and-off boyfriend, Johnny Mundo.

Here’s the Falls Count Anywhere Match I was talking about, where she faces off against another all-time great Mickie James.

Saturday Night's Main Event - Main Event recap for October 17, 2015

Stardust beats Fandango.

Renee Young interviews Team Bella (Brie and Nikki Bella, Alicia Fox). They're taking on Naomi and Tamina later tonight. Brie says that despite the Divas Revolution and the new Divas trying to take down the Bella Empire, they are stronger than ever. Alicia asks if Team PCB (Paige, Charlotte, Becky Lynch) are under a new name. They agree on Team PMS, but Alicia says it doesn't matter because they're a hot mess. Brie calls Team B.A.D. (Naomi, Tamina, Sasha Banks) "Team Broken," and even though everyone hears the "We Want Sasha," she doesn’t because she's on the sidelines. Nikki says while a certains someone hinks she's being held back, the Divas Division is just filled with new spoiled brats. She goes on to say that Team PCB is falling apart, and that Charlotte is going to lose her title at Hell in a Cell. Nikki says this isn’t a Divas Revolution...it's a Bella Evolution.

Adam Rose sings his name again before the next match.

Ryback beats Adam Rose.

Team Bella (Brie and Nikki Bella) beats Team BAD (Naomi and Tamina).

The Code of Honor - Ring of Honor Wrestling recap for October 17, 2015

Jay Briscoe says that Adam Page does not know what he got himself into for the No Holds Barred main event (which Parental Discretion is advised).

The All Night Xpress (Kenny King & Rhett Titus) beats The Addiction (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian) following the distraction by a man with the orange mask (presumably Chris Sabin, who was barred from ringside for the match).

The Kingdom (Maria Kanellis, Michael Bennett, Matt Taven, Adam Cole) show up. Michael Bennett compares the snake's revenge to Adam Cole's recent betrayal of O'Reilly. Maria grabs the mic and says that she manages the best faction in professional wrestling history. And she says that even if she works in a male-dominated industry, she doesn't have to follow a man's rules. Matt Taven says that the group is something special, and that the success in wrestling is depicted by the gold on their shoulders. Taven says that the group will not stop until Adam Cole is once again the ROH World Champion, and that they will hold all the gold. Cole grabs the mic, and says that he turned his back on Kyle O'Reilly, because he feels that O'Reilly doesn't deserve to be the ROH World Champion, and that he was the better member of Future Shock. He's offended that the likes of O'Reilly, Styles and Elgin were chosen for title matches, but he wasn't chosen. Cole says that he is the only legitimate contender for the ROH World Championship, and vows that the World and TV Championship are coming to The Kingdom. Suddenly, reDRagon (Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish) are held back by security up the ramp. Bobby Fish says that he and Kyle are taking them out, but Cole says that he can't see them two taking on the three of them. Michael Elgin shows up to even the odds and goes on a war path. Elgin grabs the mic and says that "Big Mike" is giving reDRagon back up.

"The Exotic Goddess" Mandy Leon breaks down the rivalry between Dalton Castle and Silas Young on this week's "Inside ROH."

Adam Cole goes one-on-one next week with A.J. Styles... and he says that the third match's a charm, with the most phenomenal part of the match is Cole dropping him on his head.

B.J. Whitmer guests on commentary for the next match.

Jay Briscoe beats Adam Page in an No Holds Barred Match.

Before the opening match, Bo Dallas tells Roman Reigns there's nothing wrong with being scared of Bray Wyatt. Bo says he has survived scary situations, and says that Roman will leave Hell in a Cell on a stretcher.

Roman Reigns beats Bo Dallas. After the match, Roman says Bray Wyatt calls himself the devil and says that he is not wrong. At Hell in a Cell, he plans to ride straight into Hell as it's the only way to beat the devil. Wyatt appears on the TitanTron, and says he will deliver unto him a prophecy next week on Raw.

Sheamus and King Barrett beats Cesaro and Neville when Sheamus grabs the Money in the Bank Briefcase only for the ref to take it away. As the referee's focus is away from the match, Barrett hits Cesaro with a a surprise bullhammer.

Renee Young interviews Summer Rae. Summer is the special guest referee tonight for Rusev vs. Dolph Ziggler, and she plans to keep her personal and professional life separate and stay impartial tonight.

Byron Saxton interviews Dean Ambrose, who finds out that Paige beat him in the "Most Unconvential Superstar/Diva" category last week. He pulls out a balloon animal, a globe, a magic 8-ball as he looks for his Payday bar. Byron finds it, but Dean takes it from him and eats it without taking it out of the wrapper.

Ryback sits at ringside for the next match.

Kevin Owens beats Zack Ryder. Ryback chases Owens out of the ring after the match.

Nattie runs into Paige, who apologizes to her and wants to make everything right as she misses having her as a friend. She says she has a long way to go and is stressed out ever since becoming Divas Champion. Nattie agrees, and says that the apology is a start.

Dolph Ziggler beats Rusev in a match with Summer Rae as the special guest referee after Summer slaps Rusev for arguing with her. After the match, Summer tells Ziggler that Rusev and Lana did them dirty, but Ziggler knows that she's trying to use him and he turns her down.

Renee Young interviews Dean Ambrose and The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley). They plan to give The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) the 3D tonight.

Luke Harper and Braun Strowman beat The Prime Time Players (Darren Young and Titus O'Neil).

Charlotte beats Alicia Fox with the Figure Eight. Team Bella (Brie and Nikki Bella, Alicia Fox) attack Charlotte after the match, but Paige shows up and helps out both Charlotte and Becky Lynch, apparently having turned over a new leaf.

Backstage, Paige tries to make up with Charlotte and Becky Lynch when a referee and a member of medical staff rushes to Natalya's locker room. Natalya has been attacked.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) say that the most powerful force in the WWE is the power of positivity, and that they have dropped everyone that they have faced off with.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) vs. Dean Ambrose and The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) comes to an end when Xavier Woods uses the trombone as a weapon. After the match, The New Day destroy Dean and the Dudleys.

Here are the top 10 moments from tonight's show!

Match of the Day - 10/15/2015: Jumbo Tsuruta vs Stan Hansen!

Short synopsis for each Wrestler and Match of the Day blogs this week.

Today's Match of the Day is the incredible match of Jumbo Tsuruta vs Stan Hansen, two all-time greats in the business. Also, this is the match that started everything. Arguably one of the most prestigious championships in professional wrestling is the Triple Crown Championship. On the night of April 18, 1989, the NWA International, PWF Heavywight, and the NWA United National Championships were unified. The winner would be crowned the very first Triple Crown Champion.

Wrestler of the Day - 10/15: The Addiction (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian)!

Short synopsis for each Wrestler and Match of the Day blogs this week.

Today's Wrestler of the Day are the tag team of The Addiction (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian), who were previously known in TNA as Bad Influence and are former TNA & ROH World Tag Team Champions.

One of my favorites, when the two faced off against A.J. Styles and Kurt Angle at Slammiversary back in 2012.

Match of the Day - 10/14/2015: Atsushi Onita vs. Terry Funk!

Short synopsis for each Wrestler and Match of the Day blogs this week.

Today's Match of the Day is the classic FMW No-rope Exploding Barbwire Timebomb Deathmatch of Atsushi Onita vs. Terry Funk. This is the match that got me heavily into the Deahtmatch concept of professional wrestling, and there is no doubt that these two are true pioneers of this style of wrestling.

Wrestler of the Day - 10/14: Santana Garrett!

Short synopsis for each Wrestler and Match of the Day blogs this week.

Today's Wrestler of the Day is the awesome Santana Garrett, who currently holds 13 championships, including the Shine and NWA World Women's Championship!

Here's a good one, where she faces off against Christina Von Eerie!

Generation NXT - NXT recap for October 14, 2015

Bayley arrives to start tonight's show. She says that last week was all about respect, and credits Dusty Rhodes as the reason why she and Sasha Banks made it to where they are now. She announces that she and Sasha have started a whole new level in the Divas Revolution, and validated where women's wrestling has headed. Suddenly, Alexa Bliss shows up with Blake and Murphy, and Alexa admits that Bayley deserves to be champ and that the Iron Man match was incredible, and that she's glad to be part of all this. She lifts Bayley's arm, then steals the Women's title in an attempt to mock and degrade her as Blake and Murphy block her path, then Alexa tosses the Women's title back to Bayley before leaving with Blake and Murphy.

Last week, William Regal congratulated Finn Balor and Samoa Joe on winning the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, but Joe reminded Balor that he came here to take the NXT Championship. Balor was willing and able for a title match, but Regal held them up, saying that there was no #1 contender right now. The #1 contender would be decided next week (read: tonight) in a 20-man battle royal.

Tye Dillinger, Apollo Crews and Rhyno are just three men in tonight's battle royal.

The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch) beat Angelo Dawkins and Sawyer Fulton.

Eva Marie is in Paris for some "her" time, and says she'll see the NXT Universe soon.

Match of the Day - 10/13/2015

Short synopsis for each Wrestler and Match of the Day blogs this week.

Today's Match of the Day is Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 25... back when Undertaker's streak was still a thing. By the way, the match will be divided up into two parts.

Wrestler of the Day - 10/13: Tomohoro Ishii!

Short synopsis for each Wrestler and Match of the Day blogs this week.

Today's Wrestler of the Day is the hard-hitting, "Stone Pitbull" Tomohoro Ishii!

Like Hirooki Goto, I see Tomohoro Ishii as one of the best wrestlers to never hold the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. Ishii is also a guy that the late great Bruiser Brody would be very proud of, due to he notable brawling style. What baffled me about him at first was not necessary his skill set, but how he was being used in New Japan Pro Wrestling. He was an undercard guy at best, which caused him to gain a cult following of fans. The cult following resulted in his pushed, and as you can see in the picture above, it worked out really well. Ishii is now a four-time (and current) NEVER Openweight Champion, which was his first major title with the promotion. Thankfully enough, his status in NJPW continues to rise, and now he has two 5 Star Matches to his credit: one against Katsuyori Shibata (2013) and another underrated wrestler, Tomoaki Honma (2015).

Here's one of the 5 Star Matches I mentioned, where he faces off against Tomoaki Honma back on February 14th, 2015.

Tomohiro Ishii vs Tomoaki Honma from Jorge Rebelo on Vimeo.

Short synopsis for each Wrestler and Match of the Day blogs this week.

Today's Match of the Day is Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi, two of New Japan Pro Wrestling's most blockbuster performers. This match took place during this year's annual G1 Climax Tournament, which Tanahashi would ultimately win. This match was also named a 5 Star Match by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Gettin' RAW - Monday Night RAW recap for October 12, 2015

Kane gets a call from Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, who are running late. He is in charge until they can get to the building. Kane then asks a stage manager to inform Seth Rollins he has a lumberjack match tonight against Kane himself.

Dean Ambrose shows up. Since Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are running late tonight, he's decided to open the show. He's looking for a fight. Suddenly, Randy Orton shows up. He knows that Ambrose takes his fight against The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Braun Strowman) seriously. At Hell In A Cell, Ambrose and Orton take on Luke Harper and Braun Strowman. Ambrose tells Orton to follow his lead, but Orton wants Ambrose to do the same for him. It's obvious they don't trust each other. Suddenly, The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) shows up and say they should be focusing on them and not The Wyatt Family, especially after what they did at the end of last week's show. Kane shows up on the TitanTron, and sets up a match between The New Day and the team of Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton, and the match starts right now.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) steal the victory from Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton after Kofi shoves Orton into Ambrose.

We take a look back at the road to Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker at Hell In A Cell.

Nikki Bella beats Naomi after Brie distracts with "We Want Sasha" chants on the microphone. She gets Sasha Banks, but the damage is already done as Nikki gets the Rack Attack in.

Byron Saxton asks the WWE Universe who they think is the most unconventional WWE Superstar or Diva. The majority goes with Paige...who then pulls a Payday bar out of Byron's inside suit pocket, as Payday sponsored this poll.

John Cena shows up. He takes in the crowd reaction in the Allstate Arena in Chicago, which he calls one of his favorite places to wrestle, as his first match and some of his best matches took place here. He then issues the United States Championship Open Challenge, and Dolph Ziggler answers...and this time, it's for real.

During Dolph Ziggler vs. John Cena for the WWE United States Championship, a fan proposed to his girlfriend. She says yes, and news of this spreads throughout the entire arena, and everyone chants for them. The fans holds up a sign saying "She said yes!" and Cena brings attention to it during the match.

John Cena retains the WWE United States Championship against Dolph Ziggler.

Kane gets a call from Triple H. Meanwhile, Stephanie McMahon is angry with one of the flight attendants on their flight.

The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) beat The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor).

King Barrett and Sheamus beat Neville and Cesaro.

We take a look at Braun Strowman.

Before the next match, Roman Reigns gets us up to speed about how he and Dean Ambrose started feuding with The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Braun Strowman) and the events leading up to now. He's sick and tired of Bray Wyatt's "anyone but you" line and his attempts to stop him from doing anything big in WWE and wreck his future for him and his family. The Wyatt Family then show up, and Bray Wyatt tells Roman that he has only himself to blame for all that has happened to him so far, but Roman tells Bray that when the cage door is locked shut at Hell In A Cell, Bray will wish he was facing "anyone but him."

This Thursday on SmackDown: Dean Ambrose and The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods)!

Roman Reigns beats Braun Strowman by count-out after Reigns hits a Superman Punch on Strowman, sending him straight over the announce table. Roman Reigns returns to the ring just in time to get the win and give Strowman his first ever singles loss on television. After the match, The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Strowman) try to ambush Roman, but Roman wisely slips out of the ring through the bottom rope. Bray Wyatt kneels down when Roman is close to him again, and Roman smacks him before he leaves.

Kane gets another call from Triple H, who wants to know what the main event for tonight is. The only problem is that the reception for the call is bad, and the call soon becomes one weird joke.

Ryback beats Rusev. Before the match, it is mentioned that Rusev is engaged to Lana in real life, thanks to a report from TMZ. After the match, Summer Rae confronts Rusev about this and is angry that Rusev didn't tell her privately and she had to find out online. She calls Rusev a "weak little boy," then dumps and slaps him.

Kevin Owens beats Kalisto.

Paige guests on commentary for the next match.

Brie Bella and Alicia Fox beat Charlotte and Becky Lynch after Paige and Nattie get in a shoving match outside of the ring, distracting Charlotte.

Kane tells Triple H and Stephanie McMahon he's in the main event with Seth Rollins. HHH and Stephanie tell Kane not to have the match.

Seth Rollins talks to Big Show backstage. Rollins says he knows that Big Show has his back, but Show laughs at Rollins, saying he has a great sense of humour. Rollins then gets a surprise meeting from Kane, who tells him that he won't be in the main event but will find a suitable replacement for himself.

Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and Ric Flair will be on Raw next week!

Seth Rollins' opponent in the main event lumberjack match is...Demon Kane.

Demon Kane beats Seth Rollins in a chaotic lumberjack match.

Wrestler of the Day - 10/12: Ricochet (aka Prince Puma)!

Short synopsis for each Wrestler and Match of the Day blogs this week.

Today's Wrestler of the Day is the awe-inspiring Ricochet!

Ricochet has been gracing rings on the American independent circuit and Internationally for the past decade. With his unmatched high-flying arsenal and his charisma, Ricochet is definitely one those guys you need to keep your eye out on for the next decade. Also... PRINCE PUMA ANYONE?

Here's a favorite of mine, where he faces off against revolutionary Junior Heavyweight, Jushin "Thunder" Liger!

The Code of Honor - Ring of Honor Wrestling recap for October 10, 2015

Matt Sydal beats ACH in an incredible match to tie the Best of Five Series at two wins a piece. After the match, Sydal holds up the peace sign (which ACH did earlier in the match), signifying that he's two wins in the series. Suddenly, The Addiction (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, Chris Sabin) ambush both ACH and Sydal.

Frankie Kazarian claims that their ROH World Tag Team titles were "stolen" from them and calls ROH tyrannical. Kaz then mocks a "Texan accent", and they demand that justice is served. Daniels says that he is addressing the "charlottian" that interfered in their match (who turned out to be Chris Sabin, their partner). He also blames Nigel McGuiness for their title loss and still declares the team champions. The ANX (Rhett Titus & Kenny King) interrupt Daniels' rant, in which Titus says that the "ANX party is in town". King says that he and Titus are the actual unpinned, un-submitted tag team champions, and King states their claim to being ROH World Tag Team Champions once again.

During the commercial break, Nigel McGuiness signed a tag team match for Ring of Honor television next: All Night Xpress vs. The Addiction!

Silas Young, along with Beer City Bruiser and Dalton Castle's former boys are in the ring. Silas is chomping down their throats already, telling them to get actual wrestling gear and rid themselves of their trademark Castle attire. Silas then says that he's gonna teach them to be men by having them wrestle in matches, which he signals for the Beer City Bruiser to attack them and start an impromptu tag match.

Silas Young & The Beer City Bruiser quickly beat The Boys. Beer City Bruiser carries the latter out after the match.

Truth Martini and Jay Lethal says that Takaaki Watanabe is going to get the biggest English lesson of his life by saying, "Jay Lethal is the best wrestler in the world."

"The Exotic Goddess" Mandy Leon breaks down the fallout of the ROH World Title main event at All-Star Extravaganza and The Kindgom's domination on this week's "Inside ROH".

Jay Lethal beats Takaaki Watanabe to retain the ROH World Television Championship!

Wrestler of the Day - 10/10: Samoa Joe!

Today's Wrestler of the Day is the "Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe!

From his days as a dominant force in Ring of Honor, to his long withstanding tenure in TNA, to making his mark on WWE's developmental territory of NXT, Samoa Joe is the epitome of greatness. With a wrestling style that is heavily influenced by MMA and brawling styles, Joe has been one of the driving forces on the independent circuit, and more notably promotions such as Ring of Honor and TNA for a decade before landing in NXT. His track record speaks for itself, including his single ROH World Title reign being the longest in the company's history. Classic matches with the likes of CM Punk, A.J. Styles, Christopher Daniels, Kurt Angle and even the legendary Kenta Kobashi, greatly depicts how great of a wrestler Joe really is. Now, coming off of a win in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic with Finn Balor, things are going well for Joe in NXT, and things can only go up from here.

Here's the 5 Star, 2005 Match of the Year classic of Joe vs. Kobashi. Been looking for this match for a long time, and now is a great time to show it here. Enjoy!

Saturday Night's Main Event - Main Event recap for October 10, 2015

Kevin Owens shows up. He says that near the end of the year, everyone will wonder who the Superstar of the Year for 2015 will be. Owens calls himself the only right answer, as he won the NXT two months after debuting, beat John Cena on his first night on the main roster, recently beat Ryback for the WWE Intercontinental Championship and beat Chris Jericho at his first-ever appearance in Madison Square Garden last week. He considers the last reason a big deal, but when he watched it back on WWE Network (which he gets for free, because he's a big deal), he noticed that commentary was talking more about Jericho than him. He then chews out Byron Saxton, who was one of the commentators that night, and calls him "rude," "disrespectful," "a bully," and "disgusting," and says that Byron bullies him on commentary every time he appears. Jimmy Uso is shaking his head, and Owens notices this, asking Jimmy if he has anything to say about this, and says that he probably does because he's been hiding behind that table for months, and that he wouldn't want to get hurt. This leads Jimmy to confront Owens in the ring, and Kevin Owens tells him to think about what he's doing. He gets in the ring anyway, takes the mic away from Owens and tells him he's done talking. Kevin Owens takes off when it's obvious a fight is about to break out.

Kevin Owens vs. Jimmy Uso is official for later tonight.

Naomi beats Paige.

Kevin Owens beats Jimmy Uso.

Come As You Are (WWE Superstar) - Superstars recap for October 9, 2015

Before the next match, Adam Rose makes fun of the fact that Cesaro is stuck in the mid-card.

Cesaro beats Adam Rose with the Sharpshooter after a longer than usual Cesaro Swing.

The Prime Time Players (Darren Young and Titus O'Neil) beat The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor).

Wrestler of the Day - 10/9: La Rosa Negra!

Today's Wrestler of the Day is the awesome female indy sensation, La Rosa Negra!

La Rosa Negra was recommended to me by a good friend of mine's so I decided to go with it. I actually first got a glimpse of La Rosa Negra during her tenure in the World Wrestling Council of Puerto Rico, where she a former three-time WWC Women's Champion. She has worked in numerous American independent circuit promotions, including SHINE and Pro Wrestling Syndicate. Now, she's on tour in Japan, where she is the current High Speed Champion for the all-female World Wonder Ring Stardom promotion. To be honest, I wish I would have known about her much earlier than I did did. She's the real deal. Don't believe me? Check out this match below:

Match of the Day - 10/9/2015: Sasha Banks vs. Bayley vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte!

Today's Match of the Day is the incredible Fatal Four Way Match for the NXT Women's Championship of  Sasha Banks vs. Bayley vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte! This match took place at NXT TakeOver: Rival, and this one of the first strings of classic matches that these four ladies would have in the next couple of months (Bayley vs. Sasha I and II, anybody?! :D). Gonna shorten this up in one sentence: this was the Match of the Night. There. I said it.

Thursday, October 8, 2015

Match of the Day - 10/8/2015: Johnny Mundo vs. Prince Puma!

Sorry... yet another short and sweet write-up due to a BUSY week. I'm serious.

Today's Match of the Day is Johnny Mundo vs. Prince Puma in what is billed an "All Night Long" Iron Man Match for the Lucha Underground Championship! I mean, should really write up an explanation of this great match? Just watch for yourself. And as Lionel Richie sings, it's All Night Loooooooong, do do do.... By the way, this match will be divided up into 3 parts.

Wrestler of the Day - 10/8: Adam Cole!

Playing catch up today. Grrr....

Today’s Wrestler of the Day is none other than Adam Cole BAY BAY! Yes, I had to do that.

In just seven years (and yes, that’s a short amount of time in my opinion), Adam Cole has become one of the top performers on the American independent circuit and without a doubt one of the best wrestlers on the planet today. Cole’s time in Ring of Honor has definitely put him on the map, from teaming with Kyle O’Reilly as Future Shock to winning his first world title, the ROH World Championship that is. Cole is also a former PWG World Champion, and the longest reigning champion in the title’s history. Some of his greatest work comes in the form of great matches with the likes of A.J. Styles, Jay Briscoe, Shinsuke Nakamura and even his former tag team partner Kyle O’Reilly to name a few. Now a member of The Kingdom alongside, Maria Kanellis, Michael Bennett and Matt Taven, he has one goal in mind: to recapture the ROH World Championship. To be honest, I wouldn’t mind seeing him become the third two-time ROH World Champion. As I always say, only time will tell…

Here's an Adam Cole throwback for ya, from his tenure in CZW, where he faces off against Johnny Gargano and Kyle O'Reilly!

SmackDown Hotel! - Thursday Night SmackDown recap for October 8, 2015

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) show up and brag about the Monday night beatdown they gave John Cena, Dolph Ziggler and The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley). They then make fun of the Philadelphia Eagles before saying they're here to make the WWE great again. Suddenly, Ziggler shows up, and he's not happy they cost him a shot at the United States title. He then says he's asked The Authority for a match against the man he's taught how to steal opportunities...Big E. Xavier wishes Ziggler good luck and not to worry as it'll be a fair fight. Ziggler makes sure of that by introducing The Dudleys (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley), who show up to even the odds at ringside. The match happens immediately afterward.

Big E beats Dolph Ziggler following interference from Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, despite attempts by The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) to stop them from doing so.

Rusev asks Summer Rae why she's telling everyone they're engaged, and tells her he has to fulfill his plans first. Summer Rae tells Rusev that she's lined him up with a match against Ryback, and they'll soon get the gold that they want. Rusev then slaps Summer's ass.

Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Natalya beat Team Bella (Brie and Nikki Bella, Alicia Fox) by submission with a Figure Eight to Nikki Bella. After the match, Renee Young interviews Paige, who still calls Charlotte and Becky Lynch "her girls" and says that Natalya is horning in on her territory.

Ryback beats Rusev despite attempted interference from Summer Rae.

Bray Wyatt says that at Hell In A Cell, he will put Roman Reigns down. As for tonight, Reigns and Randy Orton will face the wrath of him and the Black Sheep. Braun Strowman shows up and talks about strangling rabbits, then tells them to run.

King Barrett beats Neville with a surprise Bull Hammer while on the ropes.

Stardust looks to the cards for his next victim...

Roman Reigns and Randy Orton beat Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman by disqualification after Wyatt hits Reigns with a chair. After the match, Orton and Reigns give Wyatt and Strowman a beatdown.

Here are the top 10 moments from tonight's show!

Wednesday, October 7, 2015

Match of the Day - 10/7/2015: Neville vs. John Cena!

Sorry... yet another short and sweet write-up due to a BUSY week. I'm serious.

Today's Match of the Day is Adrian Neville vs. John Cena for the United States Championship. And, yes, I know I'm gonna get a little "heat" for this. Oh, well. I actually enjoyed this match. Hope you enjoy it, too!

Wrestler of the Day - 10/7: Maria Kanellis!

Today’s Wrestler of the Day is the always stunning “First Lady of ROH”, Maria Kanellis.

Before she became the “First Lady of ROH” and the Queen of The Kingdom, Maria is perhaps best known for her time in WWE. Her earliest persona was that of a ditzy Diva, who was laughed at by her co-workers in the locker room. She began to become a more active in-ring competitor a little over year into her career, where she found herself competing in tag team matches with the likes of John Cena and Jeff Hardy, and mixing it up in singles actions with the likes of Melina and Lita. After 6 years with the promotion, she left the company with no title reigns to her credit. She won her first title in Family Wrestling Entertainment (FWE), capturing the FWE Women’s Championship in 2012. Sad thing is, it took her eight years to win her first title. During this time, she made her debut in Ring of Honor with her now-husband, Michael Bennett, and she has become a prominent manager ever since. She recently made history along with Amber Gallows, being the first women to compete in a match for New Japan Pro Wrestling since October 2002. What’s next for the “First Lady”? Only time will tell. She’s definitely on her way to becoming one of most decorated managers in pro wrestling history.

Here's a match from her time in FWE, where she faces off against Winter at FWE X.
