Gettin' RAW - Monday Night RAW recap for May 23, 2016

Seth Rollins, fresh from a return at Extreme Rules, starts tonight's show. He says that he is back and that he is taking back the title that he never lost: the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. When he notices that the WWE Universe missed him, he finds it surprising, as he says the WWE Universe hated him to death during his championship reign as he hid behind The Authority every chance he could and everyone called him the weakest link. He says he took all the flowers and "get well soon" cards, put them in a garbage can and lit them all on fire, and says he never needed the WWE Universe and doesn't need them. He tells the WWE Universe to either cheer him or boo him, as he'll get back the title he never lost. Roman Reigns shows up, and when he gets in the ring, Seth Rollins gets out. As he tells Roman he'll only face him on his time, Shane McMahon shows up. Shane knows that there is a lot of animosity between Seth and Roman, and makes a match between the two of them for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship official for Money in the Bank.

Cesaro takes on The Miz, Dean Ambrose takes on Dolph Ziggler, Apollo Crews takes on Chris Jericho, AJ Styles takes on Kevin Owens and Sheamus takes on Sami Zayn...all in Money in the Bank qualifying matches tonight on Raw!

Renee Young interviews Sheamus, who is sick and tired of hearing about the new era and that the kids' eyes will have to covered as what he's going to Sami Zayn won't be for all ages.

Sami Zayn beats Sheamus to qualify for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. After the match, Sheamus is seething.

Renee Young interviews Apollo Crews...but Sheamus attacks Crews before he can even speak.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) show up. There is a birthday cake in the ring, and it is out here to celebrate the 1200th episode of Raw tonight. Big E says a wrestling ring is never a safe place for a cake, so Big E volunteers to take it outside...and it almost ends up in JBL and Byron Saxton's faces. All of a sudden, The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) spoil the fun and attack The New Day.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) beat The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel). After the match, Heath Slater's face goes right into the birthday cake.

Before the next match, The Miz and Maryse gloat over Miz's Intercontinental Championship win and is future Money in the Bank Briefcase win. The Miz ponders who would play him in a movie based on last night, but Maryse says nobody can even compare to him. Before they can kiss, Cesaro makes his entrance.

Cesaro beats The Miz to qualify for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Renee Young interviews Seth Rollins. Stephanie McMahon shows up, and she tells him that things have changed along with their business relationship. They shake hands after she welcomes him back.

Chris Jericho beats Apollo Crews to qualify for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. After the match, Sheamus laughs after Renee Young tries to interview him.

Jojo interviews Baron Corbin. Corbin says he did what he did last night because he can. Dolph Ziggler shows up and makes fun of Corbin, and says Corbin can't beat him in a technical wrestling match. Corbin tells him that if he wants another match, he'll get one. Next week is a technical wrestling match, but tonight is the Money In The Bank qualifying match against Dean AMbrose. He plans to do what Corbin can't: steal the show.

Enzo Amore returns to WWE programming for the first time since his injury at Payback along with Big Cass. Enzo calls out The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) after what they said about New Jersey at Extreme Rules.

Big Cass beats Bubba Ray Dudley.

Charlotte, Dana Brooke and Ric Flair arrive to address the State of the Women's Championship. Flair tells Charlotte he is proud of her for everything she's accomplished as of late. Charlotte thanks herself before saying Dana Brooke "made the right choice" when it comes to being the best. Dana thanks her for the privilege of standing in the ring with the dirtiest player in the game. Charlotte says she understands why her dad wasn't there, and now she's more powerful and more confident now that she is Women's Champion. She then tells Ric Flair to get out of her ring. She says she's now tired of being referred to as "Ric Flair's daughter" and of people saying she couldn't do anything without his help. She then calls Ric Flair "the second dirtiest player in the game" and says she has no time for people who come in second place. She tells Ric that he abandoned her and that she doesn't need him anymore, and tells him to get out. Ric reluctantly leaves the ring and heads to the back.

Dean Ambrose beats Dolph Ziggler to qualify for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Ric Flair meets with Arn Anderson, who tells him "I'm sorry." Renee Young then tries to interview Flair, but Flair is so miserable after what happened earlier tonight that he can't say a thing.

The Shining Stars (Primo and Epico) invite the WWE Universe to come to Puerto Rico, "The Shining Star of the Caribbean."

Before the next match, AJ Styles says that Roman Reigns is every bit of the man he says he is, and that if it weren't for The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) and The Club (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson), he would have beat Roman Reigns. He says he has an opportunity to beat Kevin Owens on his own and go on to Money in the Bank. Suddenly, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson show up and take offense to the "if it weren't for them" line. AJ says that things have changed, and that it's probably time for a professional split. He says that nothing can separate them from being brothers, but Gallows and Anderson don't like the sound of that. Gallows and Anderson eventually leave the ring after AJ says that right now, the ring is his ring.

This Thursday on SmackDown: Cesaro vs. The Miz for the WWE Intercontinental Championship! Kalisto vs. Rusev for the WWE United States Championship!

Kevin Owens beats AJ Styles to qualify for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Bayley says she's glad to have Carmella on her side, and knows she will make a good Women's champion someday. As for Asuka, Bayley knows that she wants the Women's title.

Johnny Gargano knows Samoa Joe, and says he has him all figured out. He calls Joe a "childhood bully," then tells Joe to bring everything he has tonight, as he will not back down.

Jason Jordan and Chad Gable are disappointed that they weren't nominated for NXT Tag Team of the Year, even though they beat nominees Blake and Murphy in London. When Chad Gable says that he and JJ are "the alpha males of NXT," JJ has an idea. He runs with that statement and the fact that Chad Gable represented the USA in the 2012 Olympics, and comes up with their new tag team name: American Alpha.

Apollo Crews beats Tye Dillinger. After the match, Crews says he has unfinished business from a few months ago: a non-title match with Finn Balor, which he does not want to win by disqualification a second time around.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for November 25, 2015

Michael Cole is in the ring to start tonight's show. He is substituting for William Regal, who is recovering from successful surgery. Regal has put him in charge for tonight's NXT, and he also announces that Eva Marie vs. Bayley for the NXT Women's Championship will happen tonight. He also has the official contract for the NXT Championship match between Samoa Joe and Finn Balor at NXT TakeOver: London, and that the contract signing is happening right now. Finn Balor shows up before Cole can even introduce him. Balor tells Joe he did what he had to do to make the match a thing, and he tells Joe to get over here, sign the contract, and look him in the eye and know that he's not entitled to a title shot. Joe shows up, gets in the ring, signs the contract and leaves in one efficient motion without even doing so much as glancing at Balor. Balor signs soon after. The match is set. As Balor leaves, however, Joe rushes back out, attacks Balor and eventually chokes him out in the Coaquina Clutch.

Dash & Dawson (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson) retain the NXT Tag Team Championships against The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch). After the match, Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady return and attack the champs.

Tom Phillips interviews Eva Marie. They're in William Regal's office so she can prepare for her title match. Eva says the match is inevitable, and while she respects Bayley, she says it's time for a real woman to win the Women's title. She says she has the support of the WWE Universe (to which she turns around and looks at gifts with the Total Divas logo on them, and says "Thank you, Total Divas!), as well as the support of Nia Jax, whom she was seen talking to in private a couple of weeks ago.

"The Drifter" Elias Sampson sings a song for us.

Dana Brooke vs. Asuka ends before it can even begin when Emma attacks Asuka from behind and puts her in the Emma Lock.

Tom Phillips interviews Bayley. Bayley says the one difference between Eva Marie and her is that she is a wrestler, and she plans to prove that tonight.

Sami Zayn returns soon...

Apollo Crews beats Jesse Sorensen. After the match, Crews accepts his challenge for NXT TakeOver: London, and tells him that when they get in the ring, he will lay him down.

Baron Corbin says he will make Apollo Crews into the answer to a trivia question at NXT TakeOver: London, and that Apollo Nation will fall.

Main roster referee Charles Robinson shows up to announce that he has been sent to the ring by WWE corporate to ensure that the NXT Women's Championship is called right down the middle.

Despite the interference of Nia Jax and two refs going down (one of them Charles Robinson), Bayley retains the NXT Women's Championship against Eva Marie. After the match, Nia Jax lays Bayley out with two leg drops.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for November 4, 2015

Asuka beats Cameron - who hasn't been seen on WWE programming in months - with the Asuka lock.

Carmella says that Colin Cassady has a sprained MCL. Before she can say what happened to Enzo Amore, Dash & Dawson (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson) show up. Carmella tells them that when Enzo and Big Cass come back, they'll be sorry they messed with them. Dash & Dawson then say that next week, they will take the NXT Tag Team Championships away from The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch). They then ask Tom Phillips to hand the Vaudevillains a wheelchair as a parting gift when they lose.

Jason Jordan feels he and Chad Gable aren't where they should be, but Gable says they're still moving up and they're on the road to being the best tag team in NXT. Gable still feels they need a plan, and JJ has one: challenge The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor), beat them and make an even bigger name for themselves next week.

Bull Dempsey - now with a new theme song - beats Angelo Dawkins.

Tom Phillips interviews The Vaudevillains. They're not impressed with the wheelchair insult, and say that what Dash & Dawson (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson) did to Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady wasn't pretty...but neither was their road to the top. They plan to retain the NXT Tag Team Championships next week, and continue to be gentlemen doing so while building an NXT legacy. They then push the wheelchair away.

We see Apollo Crews glance at the NXT title before leaving the locker room.

Tom Phillips interviews Bayley, who says that she has partners for the six-person tag team match: The Hype Bros (Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley).

Eva Marie beats Gionna Daddio (who isn't even mentioned by name).

Emma and Dana Brooke say that they're not scared of Asuka, and Emma admits Asuka has her utmost respect. They're just freaked out by her weird, mocking behavior. Emma then says she plans to give Asuka a warm welcome.

Apollo Crews vs. Finn Balor for the NXT Championship comes to an abrupt end when Baron Corbin attacks both men. Samoa Joe rushes nto the ring to chase Corbin out of the ring, then attacks Finn Balor.

She announces that she and Sasha have started a whole new level in the Divas Revolution, and validated where women's wrestling has headed. Suddenly, Alexa Bliss shows up with Blake and Murphy, and Alexa admits that Bayley deserves to be champ and that the Iron Man match was incredible, and that she's glad to be part of all this. She lifts Bayley's arm, then steals the Women's title in an attempt to mock and degrade her as Blake and Murphy block her path, then Alexa tosses the Women's title back to Bayley before leaving with Blake and Murphy.

Last week, William Regal congratulated Finn Balor and Samoa Joe on winning the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, but Joe reminded Balor that he came here to take the NXT Championship. Balor was willing and able for a title match, but Regal held them up, saying that there was no #1 contender right now. The #1 contender would be decided next week (read: tonight) in a 20-man battle royal.

Tye Dillinger, Apollo Crews and Rhyno are just three men in tonight's battle royal.

The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch) beat Angelo Dawkins and Sawyer Fulton.

We take a special look at the events leading up to Sasha Banks vs. Bayley for the NXT Women's Championship at NXT TakeOver: Respect.

Generation NXT - NXT recap September 16, 2015

NXT starts with Tyler Breeze making his appearance, followed by Adam Rose telling the NXT Universe he's ready to take a nice, big steaming poop all over their party. Before the match can happen, however, Bull Demspey shows up and calls out Tyler Breeze, telling him he's going to make him wish the retaliatory beating he's about to get for attacking him last week was an accident, unlike the on-purpose beating Breeze gave him. Breeze yells at Bull for interrupting the match, but Bull lays on the top rope Tyler Breeze-style. Breeze calls costing him the Tyler Breeze Tag Team Classic as well as the day Bull was born "accidents." Bull asks Adam Rose to give him the ring, but Adam refuses, as he plans to poop all over Breeze's party for what he did to him months ago. Rose fights with Bull, but Bull tosses him out of the ring. Breeze brawls with Bull, too, but Breeze ends up retreating, much to Bull's chagrin.

Tyler Breeze accepts Bull Dempsey's challenge for a match.

Tye Dillinger beats Martin Stone.

Rhyno and Baron Corbin aren't worried about an upset victory against them. They're more worried about the damange they're going to do to Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.

Well-known Japanese women's wrestling star Kana - now going by the name Asuka - comes to NXT next week!

Apollo Crews beats Solomon Crowe.

Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa think their chances in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic are pretty good, and plan to crush Rhyno and Baron Corbin to make it to the next round.

The Hype Bros (Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley) beat Alexander Wolfe and Noah Kekoa to advance, while The Vaudevillians (Aiden English and Simon Gotch) beat Blake and Murphy to continue. Bull Dempsey vs. Tyler Breeze is official for next week.

Bayley appears on NXT for the first time since the winning the NXT Women's title. She parades through the NXT Universe with the championship and even gets 10-year-old front-row Bayley superfan Izzy a minute in the ring.

Bayley beats Sarah Dobson in her first NXT match since winning the NXT Women's Championship. After the match, Bayley gets the microphone but Sasha Banks shows up before she has much of a chance to speak. Banks congratulates Bayley, saying that ever since Brooklyn, all she's heard about is her and Bayley stealing the show, how it was match of the year and how it was the greatest women's wrestling match the company has ever seen, which is great for everyone...except for her. She's here to win titles and prove herself the best female wrestler in the company. She admits that Bayley earned her respect, and that Bayley was better than her for three seconds. Bayley knows that Banks wants to exercise her rematch clause, and Bayley says the rematch is on. Banks she wants to make a point: she wants to beat Bayley again...and again...and again. William Regal shows up and makes the championship rematch official for NXT TakeOver on October 7th, and for the first time in NXT history, their match will be the main event. That's not all, however, as for the first time in NXT history, two women will face each other in an Iron Man Match. Bayley and Sasha Banks shake hands after the announcement.
