Gettin' RAW - Monday Night RAW recap for May 23, 2016

Seth Rollins, fresh from a return at Extreme Rules, starts tonight's show. He says that he is back and that he is taking back the title that he never lost: the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. When he notices that the WWE Universe missed him, he finds it surprising, as he says the WWE Universe hated him to death during his championship reign as he hid behind The Authority every chance he could and everyone called him the weakest link. He says he took all the flowers and "get well soon" cards, put them in a garbage can and lit them all on fire, and says he never needed the WWE Universe and doesn't need them. He tells the WWE Universe to either cheer him or boo him, as he'll get back the title he never lost. Roman Reigns shows up, and when he gets in the ring, Seth Rollins gets out. As he tells Roman he'll only face him on his time, Shane McMahon shows up. Shane knows that there is a lot of animosity between Seth and Roman, and makes a match between the two of them for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship official for Money in the Bank.

Cesaro takes on The Miz, Dean Ambrose takes on Dolph Ziggler, Apollo Crews takes on Chris Jericho, AJ Styles takes on Kevin Owens and Sheamus takes on Sami Zayn...all in Money in the Bank qualifying matches tonight on Raw!

Renee Young interviews Sheamus, who is sick and tired of hearing about the new era and that the kids' eyes will have to covered as what he's going to Sami Zayn won't be for all ages.

Sami Zayn beats Sheamus to qualify for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. After the match, Sheamus is seething.

Renee Young interviews Apollo Crews...but Sheamus attacks Crews before he can even speak.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) show up. There is a birthday cake in the ring, and it is out here to celebrate the 1200th episode of Raw tonight. Big E says a wrestling ring is never a safe place for a cake, so Big E volunteers to take it outside...and it almost ends up in JBL and Byron Saxton's faces. All of a sudden, The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) spoil the fun and attack The New Day.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) beat The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel). After the match, Heath Slater's face goes right into the birthday cake.

Before the next match, The Miz and Maryse gloat over Miz's Intercontinental Championship win and is future Money in the Bank Briefcase win. The Miz ponders who would play him in a movie based on last night, but Maryse says nobody can even compare to him. Before they can kiss, Cesaro makes his entrance.

Cesaro beats The Miz to qualify for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Renee Young interviews Seth Rollins. Stephanie McMahon shows up, and she tells him that things have changed along with their business relationship. They shake hands after she welcomes him back.

Chris Jericho beats Apollo Crews to qualify for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. After the match, Sheamus laughs after Renee Young tries to interview him.

Jojo interviews Baron Corbin. Corbin says he did what he did last night because he can. Dolph Ziggler shows up and makes fun of Corbin, and says Corbin can't beat him in a technical wrestling match. Corbin tells him that if he wants another match, he'll get one. Next week is a technical wrestling match, but tonight is the Money In The Bank qualifying match against Dean AMbrose. He plans to do what Corbin can't: steal the show.

Enzo Amore returns to WWE programming for the first time since his injury at Payback along with Big Cass. Enzo calls out The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) after what they said about New Jersey at Extreme Rules.

Big Cass beats Bubba Ray Dudley.

Charlotte, Dana Brooke and Ric Flair arrive to address the State of the Women's Championship. Flair tells Charlotte he is proud of her for everything she's accomplished as of late. Charlotte thanks herself before saying Dana Brooke "made the right choice" when it comes to being the best. Dana thanks her for the privilege of standing in the ring with the dirtiest player in the game. Charlotte says she understands why her dad wasn't there, and now she's more powerful and more confident now that she is Women's Champion. She then tells Ric Flair to get out of her ring. She says she's now tired of being referred to as "Ric Flair's daughter" and of people saying she couldn't do anything without his help. She then calls Ric Flair "the second dirtiest player in the game" and says she has no time for people who come in second place. She tells Ric that he abandoned her and that she doesn't need him anymore, and tells him to get out. Ric reluctantly leaves the ring and heads to the back.

Dean Ambrose beats Dolph Ziggler to qualify for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Ric Flair meets with Arn Anderson, who tells him "I'm sorry." Renee Young then tries to interview Flair, but Flair is so miserable after what happened earlier tonight that he can't say a thing.

The Shining Stars (Primo and Epico) invite the WWE Universe to come to Puerto Rico, "The Shining Star of the Caribbean."

Before the next match, AJ Styles says that Roman Reigns is every bit of the man he says he is, and that if it weren't for The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) and The Club (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson), he would have beat Roman Reigns. He says he has an opportunity to beat Kevin Owens on his own and go on to Money in the Bank. Suddenly, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson show up and take offense to the "if it weren't for them" line. AJ says that things have changed, and that it's probably time for a professional split. He says that nothing can separate them from being brothers, but Gallows and Anderson don't like the sound of that. Gallows and Anderson eventually leave the ring after AJ says that right now, the ring is his ring.

This Thursday on SmackDown: Cesaro vs. The Miz for the WWE Intercontinental Championship! Kalisto vs. Rusev for the WWE United States Championship!

Kevin Owens beats AJ Styles to qualify for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Gettin' RAW - Monday Night RAW recap for February 29, 2016

JUST A HEADS UP: No videos for this week. I know. I need to get better on these blogs. Meanwhile, enjoy the rest of the posts that I have set up for the week of 2/29-3/5/16!!!

Triple H makes his appearance to start tonight's show. Triple H says only few have it, and the rest bow down to it. That "it" is authority, and he plays to the people's fear to being destroyed by authority in order to know their place in life. He says that Roman should have known his place, as challenging and disrespecting him has led him to sitting at home breathing through his mouth. All of a sudden, Dean Ambrose shows up. He says he just got off the phone with Roman Reigns, and says that Roman told him he's coming for Triple H. Ambrose said he wanted to talk to him Triple H last week, but all the craziness from last week put a stop to that. Ambrose wants to know who Triple H wanted to see - or not see - win the Triple Threat match at Fastlane. Triple H says he didn't see Ambrose winning, but Ambrose asks if Triple H can see him now. Triple H is convinced Ambrose is legitimately crazy, and that Triple H is smart enough not to get in the ring with someone like him because - according to Ambrose - Triple H doesn't think he can beat him. Ambrose then challenges Triple H to a match tonight for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Triple H says he's the authority figure around here, but he says he'll think about it and give him an answer by the end of the night. Ambrose says he has other things to do, and Triple H says he's right, because Ambrose is going up against Alberto Del Rio tonight in an attempt to teach him what authority is.

Charlotte watches from ringside for the next match.

Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks to determine a #1 contender for the WWE Divas Championship ends with both women's shoulders down on the mat after Sasha Banks hits a Sunset Flip on Becky. Becky is on top of Sasha, but since all four shoulders were down, this match is a draw.

The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman) appears. Bray thinks he is either insane or that his mind is key to saving the entire world. He asks the WWE Universe to take his hand and join him.

The Miz quickly beats Dolph Ziggler.

Stephanie McMahon shows up to accept the Vincent J. McMahon Legacy of Excellence Award as she intended to last week. She says that Shane McMahon isn't here tonight, and won't be after The Undertaker beats him at WrestleMania 32. She then tries to recite her speech for the award, but everyone keeps booing her and chanting for Shane. Stephanie McMahon finally snaps on the WWE Universe, ticked off with Shane for his actions last week and calling him a regular backstabber. She says it eats Shane alive that she wields power and that she's married to Triple H, and that the thought of working for Shane makes her want to vomit. She hopes that The Undertaker will decimate Shane and force everyone to bow down to her and Triple H.

The League of Nations (Sheamus and Rusev) beat The Lucha Dragons (Sin Cara and Kalisto) with a distraction from Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio attacks Kalisto after the match.

Renee Young interviews Natalya...and it's a plug for Subway.

WWE has surpassed 10 million subscribers on YouTube.

Ryback, now re-focused on going solo, destroys Adam Rose.

Before the next match, The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) say they're successful because they're a brotherhood. They say they're the greatest three-man team in history and will fight anyone who says otherwise. As they talk about how they go together like other great teams (like Sonic and Tails), Chris Jericho's entrance stops them.

Chris Jericho and AJ Styles beats The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) after Jericho turns a Trouble In Paradise into the Walls of Jericho. After the match, AJ Styles and Chris Jericho make it clear that "Y2AJ" is a thing and challenge The New Day to a match for the tag team titles next week.

Todd Chrisley of Chrisley Knows Best is in the front row with his youngest son.

Vince McMahon shows up. He doesn't like the idea of his son Shane McMahon running the show, and implies that he would ruin everything. He says it will never happen, and that it would take a miracle for Shane to beat The Undertaker. He loves Shane enough to teach him a lesson he'll never, ever forget, and introduces his "implement of destruction," The Undertaker. 'Taker shows up. He puts his hand on Vince's neck and tells him "You know what will happen when the door shuts behind me at WrestleMania...but the blood of your son is gonna be on your hands, not mine." 'Taker leaves. Vince says Shane has not only lost the match, but also his inheritance, which will all go to Stephanie. He even goes so far as to disown and renounce Shane as his son.

Bubba Ray Dudley beats Jey Uso thanks to the interference attempt from D-Von Dudley.

Goldust runs into R-Truth, who tells him that Golden Truth isn't going to happen. Goldust just walks away.

Country singer Randy Houser is in the front row tonight.

Big Show beats Kevin Owens after knocking him off the top rope.

Renee Young interviews Brie Bella. As Brie talks about how her family is doing, Lana shows up and makes fun of her life as of right now. Brie tells Lana to go back to her cave.

Naomi beats Brie Bella with the Slay-o-mission thanks to some help from Tamina. After the match, Lana shows up and slow claps, mocking Brie.

The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes, Buddy Roberts, Terry Gordy, Jimmy Garvin) are the next inductees to be announced for the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2016.

As Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch argue over who could have won, Charlotte shows up and says they have one more opportunity on SmackDown to decide who will be #1 contender to the Divas title. Charlotte then tells them they'll both lose regardless.

Next week: Chris Jericho and AJ Styles vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) for the WWE Tag Team Championships! Shane McMahon also makes an appearance!

Dean Ambrose vs. Alberto Del Rio ends when Triple H shows up and sics The League of Nations (Sheamus, Del Rio, Rusev, King Barrett) on him. Triple H tells Dean he should know that he can never win against The Authority, which causes Dean Ambrose to throw punches at Triple H until he gets hit with a Pedigree. Triple H tells him he has his championship match, and as he leaves the ring, Dean Ambrose thanks Triple H through the microphone. Triple H then returns to the ring to do even more damage to Ambrose, and officials have to pull him off of Ambrose.

SmackDown Hotel - Thursday Night Smackdown recap for February 25, 2016

Triple H makes his appearance to start off SmackDown. He quotes the first four lines of Sympathy For The Devil by The Rolling Stones, and says that if Roman Reigns has forgotten who he is, that there would be repercussions for Monday night and that he was lying outside the ring in a pool of his own blood and getting his nose surgically repaired, then there is no doubt in his mind now. We see a video package of Triple H's devastating beatdown on Roman from Monday night, followed by a post-surgery picture of Roman Reigns on the TitanTron, with Triple H saying that is the face of a man who has been humbled. He says he is the law; he is the authority. He says you can't beat authority, even though it is human nature to fight against it anyway. He tells Roman Reigns and anyone who can hear his voice to have some courtesy, sympathy and taste or he will "lay your soul to waste." Triple H says that he was walked on a lot of people to get to where he is now, then talks about Roman Reigns, saying he works hard and has the sweat, but Triple H says he himself has the blood (which is proven literally is on some towels with Roman's blood on it that Triple H pulls out of his suit), and that the tears are yet to come. Triple H says he will humble Roman Reigns and tear his dreams out from under him, for he is WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

It is announced that there is no timetable for Roman Reigns to return after the surgery on his nose.

The League of Nations (Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, Rusev, King Barrett) beats Neville, Dolph Ziggler and The Lucha Dragons (Sin Cara and Kalisto).

Kevin Owens tells Renee Young that he was inspired by Dean Ambrose taking a beating from Brock Lesnar, and has decided to give Ambrose his rematch for the Intercontinental Championship tonight. Only thing is, Ambrose isn't here...but Big Show is. Owens says he has the night off, but Big Show appears and tells Owens he hasn't beaten him yet. Owens makes a "road to retirement" joke, causing Big Show to grab him by the shirt collar and tell him they have a match tonight where he plans to knock Owens out.

Before the next match, The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) deny the WWE Universe their tables before going through their "we're not a nostalgia act" spiel. D-Von says that they do what they do for themselves, and will become tag team champions for themselves as well. Bubba Ray says the WWE Universe can take their tables and chants and shove them.

D-Von Dudley beats Jimmy Uso when Jey Uso pulls out a table, distracting the ref. Bubba Ray Dudley takes advantage by pushing Jimmy off the top rope, allowing D-Von to stack him up for the win.

The Undertaker returns to Raw this Monday!

AJ Styles and Chris Jericho talk about their recent matches, and Jericho thinks they have the chemistry to become tag team champions. They have a match against The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods), and if they can beat them tonight, they're in the running...but they need a third man. That man ends up being Mark Henry, who says that The New Day play around too much. He wants to teach them a serious lesson. Jericho tells him he's in.

Kevin Owens beats Big Show by count out after Big Show gets on the top rope only for Owens to pull one of Show's legs off, causing him to land groin first on the turnbuckle and fall out of the ring. Big Show is unable to get back in the ring in time.

Natalya vs. Becky Lynch ends when Naomi and Tamina attack Natalya. They go after Becky Lynch, but Sasha Banks shows up and evens the odds. Charlotte then shows up with Ric Flair and says the #1 contendership for the Divas Championship is this Monday on Raw and that she'll sit at ringside to see who wants it more, and wishes them the best of luck.

Goldust shows up before the next match. R-Truth wants him out of here, not wanting him around after what happened at Fastlane, but Goldust says he's headed to a neutral corner.

R-Truth beats Heath Slater when the rest of The Social Outcasts (Adam Rose, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) distract the ref only for Goldust to take advantage by slapping Heath Slater in the face from the apron, allowing R-Truth to get the win.

Before the next match, The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) make fun of The League of Nations (Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, Rusev, King Barrett) before making fun of Chris Jericho, AJ Styles and Mark Henry, and claim Xavier Woods is the World's Strongest Man.

AJ Styles, Chris Jericho and Mark Henry beat The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) with the Calf Crusher on Xavier Woods.

Gettin' RAW - Monday Night RAW recap for February 22, 2016

It is announced on the pre-show that Brock Lesnar attacked Dean Ambrose shortly after he arrived in the arena before the show. Lesnar slams Ambrose into a nearby limousine a few times before walking away. Dean Ambrose is taken away in an ambulance.

Renee Young interviews Dolph Ziggler, who admits that Kevin Owens got the better of him at Fastlane. He promises to put the WWE Intercontinental Championship around his waist at WrestleMania 32. The Miz shows up and says Renee Young should be asking about his WrestleMania plans, since he headlined it five years ago. Dolph Ziggler tells him that was five years ago, and that everything he's done since then has been largely forgotten. After asking him what he's done lately, Ziggler tells Miz that if he thinks he deserves a shot at the Intercontinental Championship, then he himself doesn't deserve to be a WWE Superstar.

The Vincent J. McMahon Legacy of Excellence Award can be see in the center of the ring at the beginning of the show.

Vince McMahon shows up to present the Vincent J. McMahon Legacy of Excellence Award. Vince McMahon talks about his father, then awards the trophy to his daughter, Stephanie McMahon, who shows up to accept it. Vince tells her she was born for this business and embodies all the attributes of his father. As she thanks Triple H for making everything possible, Shane McMahon appears in the WWE for the first time in years. Vince tries to hug him and shake his hand, but Shane stops him, saying that this award is why he's here and that Stephanie isn't deserving of it. Stephanie tells Shane he doesn't know what he's talking about, especially when it comes to running a business like WWE, but Shane tells her that she and Triple H have run the company into the ground. Stephanie tells him to get out, but Shane tells her and Vince that Vince messed up big time a couple of years and he had to save his bacon. In the process, he was able to take some time off and save his place in line. As for Stephanie's rise atop the company ladder in WWE, Shane let it happen. Stephanie wants to know if this is true, and Vince says there's some truth to it. Shane then says it's all true, and at the time...it was best for business. Shane then tells Steph to leave the ring. Stephanie tells Shane she'll never forgive him. Vince tries to cut him a check, thinking it's about money, but Shane says it's not about money, it's about the McMahon legacy...and that he wants control of Monday Night Raw. Vince says if he controls Raw, he controls the entire company, and that he can't just pick up where he left off now that WWE is a publicly traded company. But he cuts him a deal: he'll give Shane what he wants if he has one match...one night...against an opponent of Vince's choosing. If he wins, he gets what he wants. If he loses, Vince wants everything in Shane's lockbox so that Shane can't hold anything over his head ever again. Shane agrees, and Vince names the time and the place: WrestleMania 32. The opponent of Vince's choice is The Undertaker...and it will be Hell in a Cell.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) beat Neville and The Lucha Dragons (Sin Cara and Kalisto) after Kofi grabs at Sin Cara's mask and pulls it off a bit, leading to a distraction that allows him to hit Trouble in Paradise.

Roman Reigns is concerned about Dean Ambrose. All he knows is that they're running tests on him. As for WrestleMania 32, it's just him and Triple H now, and he likes his odds. He promises to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship right then and there.

Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar show up. Heyman begins by putting Lesnar on a pedestal, and gets us up to speed on what happened at Fastlane before showing us that video of Lesnar decimating Dean Ambrose before the show. Heyman says nothing can protect Ambrose from Lesnar, who he says should be in the main event at WrestleMania 32. After Heyman says that Lesnar is looking for a new WrestleMania opponent, the ambulance is seen on the TitanTron returning to the arena...and out comes Dean Ambrose, still in the neck brace and still extremely weak from the beating Lesnar gave him. He drags himself towards the ring. Lesnar meets him outside, then leaves him alone. Ambrose then gets the mic and tells Lesnar to kiss his ass and that he's indestructible. He then says he wants Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32 in a no-holds-barred street fight. Lesnar then returns and hits Ambrose with an F5 outside the ring. Heyman then tells Ambrose his client accepts his challenge.

Before the next match, The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) show up and tell The Usos they're the most decorated tag team in WWE history, not a nostalgia act, and that their legacy is definied by their tag team title reigns, not the tables, which they say we will never see again. D-Von then tells The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) that Rikishi should have taught them respect instead of buying thongs over and over again. The Usos are about to argue with them when The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor) attack them from behind, getting their match underway.

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) quickly beat The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor). The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von) approach the ring after the match, then back away.

University of Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh is in the crowd tonight.

Chris Jericho shows up. He talks about AJ Styles and their three matches including their last one at Fastlane. He has a few more things he wants to say to AJ Styles, so he calls him out. AJ Styles shows up. Jericho admits AJ beat him, then congratulates him for proving that he belongs in the WWE. He calls AJ "phenomenal," then he and AJ shake hands. Suddenly, The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Adam Rose, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) show up and act sarcastic and unimpressed about the whole thing. They say nobody is buying this and tell them to get out of the ring as they are a real time. Jericho calls The Social Outcasts' bluff and challenges them right now.

Chris Jericho and AJ Styles beat The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater and Curtis Axel) with the Walls of Jericho on Axel as AJ Styles takes down the rest of The Social Outcasts (Slater, Bo Dallas, Adam Rose).

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon talk backstage. They call Shane McMahon a failure, and that the current situation will be no different. Meanwhile, they have a surprise in store for Roman Reigns...

Stephanie McMahon tells Roman Reigns he has a match with Sheamus, and makes fun of his friendship with Dean Ambrose.

Goldust apologizes to R-Truth for what happened last night with a chocolate frosted yellow cake saying "I'm sorry." He almost gets R-Truth to team up with him, but Truth pushes the cake into his face instead.

The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan) beat Ryback, Kane and The Big Show after Ryback walks out on his teammates.

Ryback says he left the match because he had nothing to prove in the rematch from Fastlane, and that he's done being part of tag teams. He wants to go solo again and break the glass ceiling there, and tells Big Show and Kane that it's nothing personal. He wants the spotlight to be on him.

Sasha Banks beats Naomi with the Banks Statement after Becky Lynch takes out Tamina. After the match, Charlotte shows up wearing a top that looks similar to Brie Bella's. She mocks both Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks, and tries to drive a wedge between them as she tries to figure which of them will get a title shot against her at WrestleMania 32.

Stephanie McMahon tells her father Vince McMahon that she doesn't want to work for her brother Shane McMahon. Vince tells her that with this calculated risk he's set up, she won't have to.

The Godfather is the next inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2016. He will be inducted into the Hall by The Acolytes Protection Agency (JBL and Ron Simmons).

Triple H will be on SmackDown this Thursday night to address Roman Reigns!

Roman Reigns vs. Sheamus ends when Triple H shows up, this time in a T-shirt, blue jeans, boots and taped up hands. Roman Reigns and Triple H brawl. Triple H ends up winning this brawl by a long shot by ramming Roman Reigns into the commentary table multiple times to the point that Roman Reigns is bleeding from his nose and hitting him with a Pedigree on the steel steps.

SmackDown Hotel! - Thursday Night SmackDown recap for February 11, 2016

Chris Jericho starts tonight's show. He is excited to have his rematch at AJ Styles tonight. He respects him, but he doesn't like him. He wants to know yet again if AJ Styles is great, and after mentioning his WrestleMania match with Shawn Michaels in 2008, he calls Styles out. Styles shows up. This starts the rematch...almost. The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Adam Rose, Curtis Axel) show up before it can begin. They say that Bo is still laying down tracks in the studio, then poke fun at AJ Styles and call themselves "The Phenomenal Three" before making fun of Jericho. As Axel and Rose argue over whether to call themselves "Axl Rose" or "The Social Housecats," Jericho tells them to shut up, and this eventually leads to a brawl where Jericho and Styles toss the Outcasts out of the ring. Jericho says that he and Styles will fight each other, but for now, they fight the Outcasts.

AJ Styles and Chris Jericho beat The Social Outcasts (Curtis Axel and Adam Rose). After the match, Styles and Jericho stare down, then the ref lifts their arms in victory just before Jericho hits Styles with a Codebreaker.

Next week on SmackDown: Brock Lesnar returns!

The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) are in the ring. They are tired of a lot of things, one of which is hearing about Daniel Bryan. They say that they're not a nostalgia act, and that they're here to add to their legacy. Bubba Ray tells the stage hands to get rid of the tables around the ring, saying this will be the last time we'll see them again. They say that tables didn't win nine tag team titles; they did. They want the WWE Universe to cheer for them, not the tables. Bubba Ray then tells D-Von to get the last table - the one in the ring - and get it out of the ring. They do.

Becky Lynch guests on commentary for the next match.

Sasha Banks beats Naomi with the Banks Statement after beating up Tamina for attacking Becky Lynch.

Jojo interviews AJ Styles, who says he is far from a "redneck rookie." He plans to show Jericho why he's called "The Phenomenal One."

Neville and The Lucha Dragons (Sin Cara and Kalisto) beat Stardust and The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor).

Chris Jericho beats AJ Styles.

SmackDown Hotel! - Thursday Night Smackdown recap for January 28th, 2016

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) starts the show. They say The Rock should be ashamed of himself, as they only wanted to enlighten him. The Miz shows up and says that The Rock has disrespected him, too, but he has no plans of being upstaged. Suddenly, The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) show up. The Usos make fun of The Miz, but The New Day make fun of The Usos for not having the tag team titles and the fact that there's only two of them. The Usos have some back-up, however: Titus O'Neil and Dolph Ziggler. The four of them rush into the ring, and The Miz and The New Day retreat.

Titus O'Neil has invited honor students from three local Tampa, Florida-area schools to tonight's SmackDown as part of giving back to the community.

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso), Dolph Ziggler and Titus O'Neil beat The Miz and The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods).

The WrestleMania Reading Challenge is on again!

Kalisto retains the WWE United States Championship against Neville.

It's time for Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel. Tonight's guests are Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. Ambrose shows up with flowers. Reigns shows up with a stool to place the flowers on. Jericho asks if the main event at Fastlane will bring out animosity. They both say no. As for Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns takes him seriously due to first-hand experience, and though Ambrose hasn't fought him, he still likes his chances and says he just has to beat Roman...which Roman says he hasn't done either. Suddenly, The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman) show up and brag about what they did to Lesnar at Royal Rumble. Roman wants to fight them, but Bray tells him to be patient as he needs "the heart of a good man to aid him on his quest." He then plans to take down Ambrose, Reigns and Jericho with the help of two members of his family tonight.

The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Adam Rose, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) are in the ring. They say they should be trending, but instead, it's AJ Styles that's trending. They also mourn the end of Curtis Axel's Royal Rumble "endurance run." Curtis Axel then calls out AJ Styles, and Styles shows up.

AJ Styles beats Curtis Axel.

Charlotte beats Natalya with the Figure Eight. She applies the Figure Four on her after the match, then Becky Lynch shows up to make the save.

Goldust and R-Truth are about to go running when the pre-run stretch gets awkward...very awkward. Goldust's quest to form Golden Truth with R-Truth continues...

The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan) vs. Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho ends with interference from Braun Strowman. The Wyatt Family are about to attack Roman Reigns when Big Show appears and exacts revenge on The Wyatts after what happened at the Royal Rumble match. Show and Strowman stare down, but the numbers game catches up with Show until Roman Reigns shows up and tries to hit Strowman with a Superman Punch. Strowman catches him, but that's enough of a distraction to allow for Show to recover. He gets rid of Strowman, Roman Reigns hits a Superman Punch on Wyatt, and Ambrose and Jericho toss Rowan out of the ring. Big Show tosses Harper into a Roman Reigns Spear to end the show.

Gettin' RAW - Monday Night RAW recap for January 25, 2016

Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon start off tonight's show. Vince claims that his family has officially broken Roman Reigns in half, and that when the McMahon family does that to someone, they stay that way. Vince then makes a confession: he enjoys watching the miseries and misfortunes of others (which we've known all along). Stephanie says she had us eating from the palm of her hands, as Triple H surprised everyone last night and that nobody can hold a candle to him. She then introduces Triple H, who shows up in the suit and tie while wearing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship around his waist. Triple H calls Roman Reigns one of the most awesome athletes he's seen, but he's not as good as him. He says that Roman is cocky and disrespectful towards Vince, and says Vince might as well be God, and that he will be damned if Roman Reigns disrespects him. He then makes it clear that he's not done yet and that his time has not yet passed, and that he wants to and will be WWE World Heavyweight Champion for as long as the locker room learns some respect. He says that Roman Reigns doesn't deserve the title. Triple H, Stephanie and Vince decide to tighten the iron fist, as everyone in a match tonight during this "action packed Raw" will be evaluated as an opponent for Triple H at Fastlane will be determined.

Flo Rida is in the audience tonight.

Kevin Owens beats Dolph Ziggler.

Jojo interviews Roman Reigns, who has just arrived. Roman isn't impressed with Vince McMahon's words at the top of the show, and he's sticking around to hear the huge announcement for later on.

The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Adam Rose, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) are here, and their focus is suddenly squared on Flo Rida. Wrestler of the Day - 10/3: A.J. Styles!

I apologize for the lateness. Weather's been really nerve-racking down here. Just going to make these next couple of posts short and sweet.

Today's Wrestler of the Day is "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, whom I believe has been on the top o his game every since his departure from TNA over a year ago. Now, he is one of the best gajins of recent memory, and he is a member of the global phenomenon known as The Bullet Club. With two reigns as IWGP Heavyweight Champion already under his belt, what is next for "The Phenomenal One"?

Here is a classic encounter in New Japan Pro Wrestling, when he faces of against Tetsuya Naito from this year's WrestleKingdom 9!

Today's Match of the Day is the highly acclaimed three-way X Division Championship match of Christopher Daniels defending the title against A.J. Styles and Samoa Joe. This match is one of - if not the BEST match in TNA history. This match took place at TNA's Unbreakable event in 2005, and was rated a 5-Star Match by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. It was this match that not only got me hooked on TNA - but these three men in general. This match was absolutely incredible, and I know that you guys out there will enjoy it just as much - whether you ahve already watched or not.

If Roode wins, Angle cannot accept a TNA Hall of Fame induction. Angle accepts for Genesis, and wants the match in a steel cage. Roode angrily accepts, then both men fight until the refs break it up. Rockstar Spud shows and tells both men to find a tag team partner, as they are now both in a tag team match against each other later tonight.

Eric Young's experiment with Joseph Park continues with Park taking on Bully Ray. Bully tells Park it's not in his best interest to get in the ring with him tonight.

Bully Ray kicks Joseph Park in the balls, leading to Park winning by disqualification. Bully Ray then squirts lighter fluid all over him and tries to light him on fire. Mr. Anderson returns, running in to take on Bully only to get squirted with the stuff as well. Bully leaves before either man can be set on fire.

The coronation of Magnus is about to being. After words by Rockstar Spud and Ethan Carter III, Dixie Carter comes out to play master of ceremonies. She introduces Magnus, who shows up in a suit. He thanks Ethan, Spud and Dixie before showing his true colors. All of a sudden, Gunner shows up with his Feast or Fired briefcase which gives him a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Gunnar intends to cash in, but gets beat up by Rockstar Spud and Ethan Carter III. Before Magnus can finish him off, AJ Styles shows up with his world title belt. It's soon just him and Magnus in the ring, and Styles says he's here because Dixie Carter screwed the fans over. He calls Magnus a farce, then challenges him to a match where the winner is the undisputed TNA champ. Much to Dixie's chagrin, Magnus goes against her and accepts the match for next week after AJ Styles says the challenge will go with him and that Magnus will doubt himself as a world champ if he declines.
