Making an iMPACT! - Impact Wrestling recap for January 26, 2016

Jeff Hardy is in the building. He's prepared to confront his brother Matt Hardy after last week.

Jeff Hardy heads to the ring. He has seen last week's main event, and he is sickened by what happened. He calls out Matt Hardy, saying that he wants answers. Matt's new music hits, and "Big Money Matt" shows up late to tick Jeff off. Reby Sky also shows up, as does Tyrus, who is holding baby Maxwell. Reby says Jeff abandoned Matt when he became "a redneck Evil Knievel." After Reby turns her back on Jeff and the crowd, Jeff makes it clear that there a lot of bitches in the ring. Matt says that he simply took Reby's advice: stop giving, start taking. As he keeps saying that Jeff is standing in his shadow, Jeff tells him just how appalled he is. Matt says that it might as well be time for the two Hardys to go their separate ways. Jeff Hardy says he stands by calling the now-chanted-for Ethan Carter III the best wrestler on the planet, simply because he won the World title fairly. Jeff, now medically clear, then says he wants to be the first person that Matt defends the title against. Matt grants him that match, saying he loves his brother, but that he will wash his hands of any and all guilt stemming from what he does to his brother tonight.

The TNA locker room is all abuzz about Feast or Fired.

The Feast or Fired Match takes place. Grado, Drew Galloway, Eli Drake and "The Cowboy" James Storm all get briefcases.

Jeff Hardy talks with Kurt Angle backstage, and tells him that he's annoyed with Reby Sky being in Matt's ear. Angle tells him he's doing the right thing, and that he's got his back tonight.

Tigre Uno retains the TNA X Division Championship against Mandrews and DJ Z. After the match, Gregory Shane Helms shows up again, saying that TNA was built from and defined by the X Division, and that it will come to prominence once again. He then tells Tigre Uno he has one more week to decide if he's ready to defend his title one last time, and Tigre Uno says yes. The match between the two of them is official for next week, and Helms says that Tigre Uno's time as X Division Champion is over.

Awesome Kong talks with the rest of The Dollhouse (Rebel, Jade, Marti Bell) to get them pumped for tonight.

Eli Drake and Jessie Godderz talk backstage. Eli Drake is afraid this might be his last night in TNA. Jessie tells him to open the briefcase early, but Eli Drake isn't quite so sure if he should.

Kurt Angle confronts Matt Hardy, and tells him that he's making a mistake with his actions and behavior as of late. Matt says he's creating something special from this title reign, but Angle says he's doing nothing but destroying. Matt warns Kurt not to get involved tonight, or else he's going to get hurt.

Awesome Kong destroys Velvet Sky. Madison Rayne makes the save, but gets jumped by The Dollhouse (Jade, Rebel, Marti Bell). Kong then hits Velvet with a splash from the top rope.

The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) are missing their TNA World Tag Team Championships, thanks to Crazzy Steve and Abyss. Tonight, they settle the score...and they want their belts back.

The opening of the Feast or Fired cases takes place...well, one of them, anyway. Maria Kanellis and "The Miracle" Michael Bennett show up, but Drew Galloway makes it clear that nobody is here to see him. Bennett says there will be repercussions for insulting him again, and the two of them leave. Eli Drake gets the King of the Mountain title shot.

When The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) call out Crazzy Steve, they get a girl who looks shockingly like him who says "Riddle me this, riddle me that. We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad. Decay...decay...decay." Crazzy Steve then shows up, followed by Abyss. This soon starts a brawl which takes place during the commercial break.

The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) ends when Crazzy Steve spits red mist into Davey Richards, followed by purple mist into Davey's face by the mystery girl. The gruesome threesome of Crazzy Steve, Abyss and the mystery girl then go on the attack.

James Storm gets a shot at the TNA World Tag Team Championships. Drew Galloway gets a shot at the TNA World Championship. Grado is fired from TNA.

Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy is about to happen when Eric Young shows up and expresses his displeasure with Jeff getting a World title shot. As he does, Bram attacks Jeff from behind, and Eric Young adds to the numbers game. Matt Hardy and Reby Sky watch from outside the ring, then Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) make the save. Crazzy Steve and Abyss show up, but Beer Money quickly take care of them and take their fight to the back. Matt Hardy then gets back into the ring, then Kurt Angle shows up and confronts Matt only to be attacked from behind by Tyrus. Matt Hardy then smacks Angle in the head with the TNA World Championship. Matt Hardy then walks away as Jeff Hardy fights off Bram and Eric Young, but Jeff is put through a table with an Eric Young piledriver.

Making an iMPACT! - Impact Wrestling recap for January 19, 2016

Jeff Hardy starts off tonight's show. He feels something is off about the deal Matt Hardy made to Ethan Carter III, and asks him to come to the ring. He does. Jeff knows he and Matt have become famous out of taking huge risks, and owes Matt so much, but he feels uneasy about tonight's main event. Matt feels he's let everyone down, but says tonight is the night for this. He knows Ethan Carter III uses his ego to get around, and decided to beat him at his own game by putting his TNA career on the line. He plans to beat EC3 at his own game and make everyone proud. Jeff understands, and says Matt still has a chance. Suddenly, Tyrus shows up and says that their dreams will become nightmares. He says Matt has made a mistake and that EC3 will take care of him, but says that Jeff made an even bigger mistake by insulting his intelligence, and challenges him right then and there. Hardy agrees, and they have their match right now.

Jeff Hardy beats Tyrus by disqualification after Tyrus shoves the ref down outside of the ring. After the match, Jeff Hardy hits a Twist of Fate from out of nowhere.

The Feast or Fired match happens next week!

The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) have come out on top in TNA for the last two years...and they want Beer Money (Bobby Roode and "The Cowboy" James Storm) in a match. Suddenly, they are attacked by a crazed Crazzy Steve and by Abyss.

Thanks to Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne fending off the rest of The Dollhouse (Jade, Marti Bell, Rebel), Gail Kim retains the TNA Knockouts Championship against Awesome Kong.

Beer Money (Bobby Roode and "The Cowboy" James Storm) show up and call out Eric Young and Bram. Instead, they get Eli Drake and Jessie Godderz. Eli Drake says Beer Money's time has come and gone, and Jessie Godderz plans on breaking the both of them. Beer Money go to town on the both of them and immediately get this match started.

Beer Money (Bobby Roode and "The Cowboy" James Storm) beat Eli Drake and Jessie Godderz.

It is announced that Jeff Hardy has re-injured his leg.

Reby Sky, Matt Hardy and son Maxwell meet up with Jeff Hardy. Matt tells Jeff to get medical treatment for his knee, and says he'll be fine in his match tonight.

Kurt Angle shows up. He thanks the fans, and says that his match against Drew Galloway last week was wonderful, and that it was the kind of match he'd like to have on his farewell tour. When he asks who's next, Lashley appears. He says he respects Angle more than anyone else in the business for discovering him and helping him get into professional wrestling. He also remembers their match from this time last year, and even though Lashley lost, he says the match was incredible. He has looked back on it frequently, and he wants another match with Angle. Angle doesn't know if he can beat Lashley again, but he's up to challenge and grants him a rematch. Lashley then says "I'm gonna beat your ass, Kurt."

Lashley meets Raquel backstage, who tells him "your pain is my pleasure."

"The Miracle" Mike Bennett beats Pepper Parks. After the match, Bennett says that the audience has just witnessed a real life miracle and that he is building "a kingdom of miracles."

Ethan Carter III tells Matt Hardy that this ends tonight, as he says that Hardy cannot beat him. The camera zooms out to reveal that EC3 and Tyrus are sitting in an ambulance, and EC3 says that Hardy will be leaving in it tonight.

Matt Hardy beats Ethan Carter III in a Last Man Standing match with help from wife Reby Sky and from a turncoat Tyrus to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship! During the match, Hardy uses unsavory tacts to beat EC3, causing Hardy to turn heel and Ethan Carter III to turn face.

After the match, Matt Hardy says he beat the unbeaten Ethan Carter III and win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship for Matt Hardy. She then calls the fans "gnats," "ants," and "insignificant," then puts his wife Reby Sky on a pedestal and says Tyrus made the right business decision by turning on EC3. After saying that this is the beginning of "Big Money Matt," he places EC3 head on top of a steel chair, then smacks him in the head with another one before he, Reby and Tyrus head to the top of the entrance ramp and lift Matt's arms high in victory to end the show.

Ethan Carter III looks at himself in the bathroom mirror. Tyrus shows up and simply tells him "It's time."

Ethan Carter III and Tyrus show up. EC3 says this is a time of vindication for him. He says that Tyrus has never doubted him, and thanks him for having his back after all this time. Before he can return to the topic at hand, however, Jeff Hardy shows up. Jeff says he's here to give him something he deserves: credit where it's due for beating Matt Hardy clean. He then hands EC3 a letter from his doctor. It's a doctor's note stating that he is clear for action, and Jeff wants his first match against Ethan Carter III. EC3 denies Jeff a title shot, saying he has to earn it. He then brings out an opponent after speaking to Bob Ryder through the camera: The Master of Motion, Shynron. Shynron plans to beat Jeff Hardy tonight. EC3 brings out a referee to make the match official, then guests on commentary for the match along with Tyrus.

Jeff Hardy beats Shynron.

Kong says that this is her house, and that Gail Kim has something she wants. Suddenly, The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne) show up and tell The Dollhouse that they should be worrying about them tonight, and that they don't have to jump people from behind to make a point. They then land the first blows in a backstage brawl.

When we come back from break, we find out that the backstage brawl between The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne) and The Dollhouse (Jade, Marti Bell, Rebel, Awesome Kong) has spilled over to the ring, and has officially become the start of the match.

The Dollhouse (Jade, Marti Bell, Rebel, Awesome Kong) beat The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne) in a no-disqualification match.

Coming soon to TNA: Raquel...

Beer Money (Bobby Roode and "The Cowboy" James Storm) show up for their beer bash in celebration of reuniting after almost five years. Storm is glad he came back to TNA and reformed one of the best tag teams in TNA history. Roode reveals that the reason they broke up and got back together is their drive and passion to be the best, and that he was wrong for turning on Storm like he did. They apologize for a few more things (including Roode puking in Storm's cowboy hat) as they give a toast to each other and the fans. As they get rowdy and loud, Eric Young and Bram show up to spoil the fun, and after Eric Young brags about taking the World title from him and admitting he doesn't like Bram but does like the way he operates, he says that Roode has something that belongs to him: the TNA King of the Mountain Championship. Roode tells EY he'll beat him like a little bitch, and puts the title on the line...right here, right now.

Eric Young takes advantage of some commotion near the end of the match to beat Bobby Roode and win the TNA King of the Mountain Championship!

Maria Kanellis and Michael Bennett meet up with Ethan Carter III and Tyrus backstage. Michael Bennett has kind words for EC3, but EC3 doesn't think as kindly of Bennett.

It's time for Mr. Anderson's new segment: "Huh?" The first guest ever on this segment is Matt Hardy, who is accompanied by Reby Sky and their son Maxell. Matt Hardy says the only reason he didn't beat Ethan Carter III for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship is because of Eric Young's piledriver. Anderson thinks he's making excuses, but Matt Hardy says he's being accountable and refuses to give up on winning the title again. Matt Hardy also says that he has EC3's number, and that Jeff Hardy won't be "doing his dirty work." He, Reby and Maxell leave after the interview becomes uncomfortable.

Christy Hemme interviews Drew Galloway, who says that a match with Kurt Angle has always been a childhood dream of his. He says he has to beat Angle tonight in order to prove he can be number one in TNA.

Bram and Eric Young talk backstage. They plan to wipe out Beer Money (Bobby Roode and "The Cowboy" James Storm") once and for all.

Tigre Uno and The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) beat Jessie Godderz, DJ Z and Eli Drake.

Jeff Hardy talks to his brother Matt Hardy, telling him to get the World title while he can. Matt says he has an offer Ethan Carter III cannot refuse. Reby Sky cuts the conversation short.

Ethan Carter III shows up, saying that Matt Hardy has an offer and he wants to know what it is. Matt shows up, and gives EC3 the opportunity to control his fate much like he did with Jeff. Matt says that if he can't beat Ethan Carter III for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, he will leave TNA forever. EC3 ups the ante by making it a Last Man Standing match. They shake on the match.

He got the cage set up tonight so he could put an end to The Revolution. Manik tries to attack Jeff from behind, but he eats a Twist of Fate, as does Abyss when he tries it as well. Hardy then commands the ceiling of the cage to be lowered, and it is evident there are weapons on the cage ceiling. Hardy says it's all about his revenge tonight.

Now without the X Division Championship - and Samoa Joe - The Beat Down Clan feel it's time to make a statement.

Rockstar Spud retains the TNA X Division Championship against Low Ki after Drew Galloway distracts Low Ki and the interfering pair of MVP and Kenny King.

The Beat Down Clan (MVP, Kenny King, Low Ki) are in the ring, and MVP threatens to send Drew Galloway to the hospital. He tells Drew to get in the ring before he and the BDC attack the crowd. Drew shows up and appeals to the crowd, then Kenny King tells Drew he's going to break both of his legs. Low Ki takes the mic and says he wants to fight him, and when Drew gets in the ring, two men jump the barricade and join Drew, helping him jump the BDC in the process. Drew and these two men are known now as The Rising.

Bobby Roode shows up and wants a shot at the title that was stolen from him. Austin Aries shows up, pulls out a bottle of champagne and teases cashing in his Feast or Fired briefcase on him. Angle tells everyone in the ring that he'll fight anybody for the title, then leaves. As he does so, Lashley shows up and tells him "we fight," telling him that he wants a rematch. Angle tells him he's got it...and out come the officials to separate them. As the officials are busy, everyone else brawls with each other, and Mr. Anderson shows up to attack both EC3 and Tyrus. During the break, the brawl turns into a sanctioned six-man tag team match between the team of Eric Young, Ethan Carter III and Tyrus and the team of Mr. Kennedy, Austin Aries and Bobby Roode.

Eric Young, Ethan Carter III and Tyrus beat Mr. Kennedy, Bobby Roode and Austin Aries after EC3 and Tyrus distract Aries long enough to make him miss the 450 splash and hurt his knee, allowing Eric Young to lock in the Figure Four leglock and make Aries tap out.

Impact Wrestling Results for Dec. 26th, 2013

Contributor: PrinceWatercress

Rockstar Spud heads to the ring to introduce Dixie Carter. She has something planned next week, but Jeff Hardy shows up before she can mention it. Hardy tells her that her cronies' actions last week will haunt her. Rocksar Spud aggressively cuts him off and tells him to get out of the ring. Hardy grabs Spud by the throat and pushes him into the corner, but he gets attacked by Ethan Carter III soon afterward. Sting shows up before Dixie can speak again. He's tired of entitled punks running the show, and says he won't leave until he gets a match with Ethan...but he gets a better idea. Since Rockstar Spud originally came to TNA to wrestle, he wants a tag match between the team of Sting and Hardy vs EC3 and Spud. Carter makes the match, but can't make the announcement as the music continues to play just before the commercial break.

Gunner tells her to warn Magnus, then James Storm shows up. He confronts Gunner about the towel-throwing incident, and accuses Gunner of telling Bobby Roode he was in that bar a few weeks ago. He wants to fight for Gunner's briefcase. Dixie makes that match so, then says she'll have to wait to make her big announcement.

He says he used her, but says she "wasn't very good for certain uses." Bully does not blame Brooke for the dissolution of Aces and Eights, but still says he'd rather be with Brooke Hogan. He has one more use for her: tell the locker room that he has worse plans for them. He then says he's done with her and tells her to leave. Guest Contributor: PrinceWatercress (feeling a little lazy on these this week).

Dixie Carter gives Mr. Anderson his match against Bully Ray...and introduces him to "Pacman" Jones, who hasn't been on TNA programming in ages.

The Main Event Mafia (Sting, Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Magnus) show up and say their job is done before announcing they are going their separate ways. Sting wishes his associates the best before he leaves. Samoa Joe plans to win the title tournament before leaving, as does Magnus, who wishes Kurt Angle the best before he tells him he may have to go through him on the road to the top. Magnus also walks out of the ring. Angle plans to win the world title and become the absolute best he know he can be. He mentions his match from last week when Bobby Roode shows up and tells him to admit he lost to him twice and move on. This starts a brawl between the two men.

Kurt Angle sits in a chair in the ring. He calls out Bobby Roode. Roode comes out and they brawl some more, and referees, security and even wrestlers and have to separate them!

Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels and Kazarian) mess with DeGuin Evans and "Pac-Man" Jones, who are in the audience. After Bad Influence shove them, Evans and Jones go after them and overpower them.

Garrett Bischoff and Knux are in the ring, and they call Tazz and Bully Ray in to vote on the future of Aces and Eights. Garrett calls Bully out on his crap, then Mr. Anderson show up. Garrett and Knux vote out of Aces and Eights, then Bully Ray votes to keep the club as it is. Tazz then votes himself out, and Bully Ray blames Anderson for all this. After Anderson promises to destroy Bully, Bully then tells him that for someone who respected "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, he forgot the first rule: don't trust anybody. Garrett and Knux attack Anderson, and Bully strikes him with the chain. The vote was all a set-up to attack Anderson.

We see interviews about why James Storm and Gunnar teamed up to win the tag titles.

Samoa Joe beats Bully Ray by disqualification when the ref catches Bully Ray hitting Samoa Joe with the chain. The ref is knocked out and Bully goes after Joe. He almost piledrives Joe into the concrete, but AJ Styles - who was forced out the arena at the start of the show - comes back and goes after Bully Ray before running away from arena security and into the crowd.

**This match is not popping up!**

EGO (Kazarian, Christopher Daniels and Bobby Roode) celebrate their gauntlet challenge victory. Bobby Roode will also be inducted into the Extraordinary Gentlemen's Organization Hall of Fame next week.

Dixie Carter shows up and mocks the fans, then calls out hulk Hogan. Hulk Hogan quits, and Dixie Hogan tries to keep him from leaving to no avail. She ends up having a temper tantrum and firing him even though he's already quit.
