Wednesday Night iMPACT - Impact Wrestling recap for June 3rd, 2015

Ethan Carter III shows up with Tyrus and two young ladies to a barbershop quintet singing his theme song. They all celebrate EC3 being #1 on the Impact Top Five. After teasing everyone with the prospect of Tyrus dancing, EC3 states that the World title is his only conquest left, and he calls out Kurt Angle in order to “commemorate his final days as champion.” Kurt Angle shows up, and tells him he’s not exactly #1 contender. Next week is Destination X, and though Angle is waiting for the day to shut him up, it might be Rockstar Spud as he just might cash in the X Division title for a shot at him. EC3 says he knows Spud, and says he’ll make him an offer he can’t refuse. As EC3 leaves, so does the barbershop quintet, but the bass vocalist gets an Angle Slam.

Lashley beats Eric Young in his first match since returning from injury, thanks to the distraction from Chris Melendez. After the match, Chris Melendez goes after EY, and Lashley has to hold him back.

It’s decision time for Rockstar Spud. Keep the X Division title? Or cash it in for a shot at the World title? Spud doesn’t know what to do…

After talking about her recent match with Gail Kim to Jade and Marti Bell, Taryn Terrell gives Awesome Kong a shot at the Knockouts title. She tells Jade and Mari Bell that they’re playing alone and to “go get their victim.”

Chris Melendez tells Eric Young he’s taken him to the danger zone…and he wants a fight.

Austin Aries sits down with Rockstar Spud, telling him to give it some thought before making his decision.

Brooke beats Jade after Brooke tricks Jade into accidentally kicking Marti Bell right in the face.

Jeremy Borash interviews Ethan Carter III, who says Rockstar Spud deserve to be a champion, but only an X Division Champion. He then gets a very important phone call…

Jade and Marti attack Rebel for celebrating with Brooke backstage after Brooke’s win.

The Rising (Drew Galloway, Micah, Eli Drake) beat The Beat Down Clan (MVP, Kenny King, Low Ki).

Ethan Carter III has just had a telephone conversation that will change Rockstar Spud’s life forever…

Mickie James runs into “The Cowboy” James Storm in Nashville.

Jeremy Borash interviews Rockstar Spud in the ring. As he decides, Kurt Angle shows up and tells Spud that while he respects him, he needs to know what he’s up against. Before Spud can make a decision, Ethan Carter III and Tyrus show up. Ethan Carter III has gotten off the phone with Dixie Carter, and he offers Spud a lifetime contract as Chief of Staff if he keeps the X Division title and lets him get the shot at Angle. Ethan Carter III has none of it, and tells him to stick it all up his arse as he refuses to throw the last fourteen years of his career away. He cashes in the X Division title before EC3 shoves him into the corner and retreats. Angle grabs a microphone and challenges EC3 and Tyrus to a tag match tonight against him and Spud.

Bobby Roode and Austin Aries talk backstage. They’re 0-2, and they need to go big or go home. Aries hands Bobby Roode a gray T-shirt.

Storm and Mickie talk in Nashville. It becomes apparent that this isn’t a meeting with music executives, as Storm asks Mickie to join The Revolution. Mickie is officially creeped out, refuses and leaves. Storm stops Mickie and tells her he respects her decision, but as he hugs her, he grimaces.

The Dirty Heels (Bobby Roode and Austin Aries) beat The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) with a low blow and a chair shot behind the referee’s back to go 1-2 in the Best of Five series.

“The Cowboy” James Storm pushes Mickie down into the nearby train tracks in Nashville, and tells Magnus through her cellphone that “she’s not coming home for dinner.”

Madison Rayne is in the ring. She complains that unless you’re either a member of The Dollhouse (Taryn Terrell, Jade, Marti Bell) or Gail Kim, you get nothing in TNA. She also mentions Velvet Sky’s actions from last week and says that if she gets enough attention, she’ll show up. Sure enough, Velvet Sky shows up and is allowed over the security barricade. Madison tells Velvet what her place is by slapping her, but Velvet breaks her in half with a Spear before hitting a Stunner. After this, Angelina Love shows up again, and Velvet Sky fights off Love’s personal security one more only to get cuffed and hauled off a second time…but not before Love attacks Velvet. After Velvet is hauled off, two real security guards show up and cuff Angelina Love for attacking a fan, and this time her personal security can’t help her as she too is hauled off.

Rockstar Spud and Kurt Angle beat Ethan Carter III and Tyrus. After the match, Austin Aries shows up and admires Spud’s decision yet questions his decision making, before announcing that he will cash in his Feast or Fired briefcase for the World Heavyweight Championship next week on the winner of Rockstar Spud vs. Kurt Angle for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Ethan Carter III is ticked off, still insisting he’s #1.

Eric Young tells Angle he's hanging with losers and says he only cares about his team: The Beat Down Clan, who attack Angle's team from behind. All of a sudden, someone else comes out to even the odds: Lashley, who breaks Eric Young in half with a Spear before Angle confirms Lashley as the final member of his team.

The Dollhouse (Jade and Marti Bell) beat Rebel and Brooke. After the match, Taryn Terrell says she has some juicy gossip concerning Gail Kim's family.

Eric Young tells The Beat Down Clan (MVP, Kenny King, Low Ki) he's got a guy lined up in case Homicide doesn't show up.

Ethan Carter III shows up with Tyrus. He wants answers as to why he's not #1 on the Impact Top 5 when he won last week and Eric Young last. Enter Mr. Anderson, who shows up with a steel chair and challenges Tyrus to a match as he and EC3, with the stipulation that if he beats Tyrus, he gets EC3. EC3 rejects the challenge, but Anderson asks Tyrus if he's going to continue being EC3's bitch while calling him one. Tyrus tells EC3 to get him a referee and charges into the ring.

Mr. Anderson beats Tyrus. Ethan Carter III, who is at the top of the ramp after being banned from ringside, is in shock.

We see a preview of BBQ Pitmasters on Destination America.

Gail Kim shows up, angered that Taryn has brought her family into this, and when Marti Bell talks back to Gail, Gail tells her to shut up. Taryn soon mentions Robert again, and this sends Gail Kim over the edge, causing her to go on a ring-clearing warpath.

Robbie E beats Jessie Godders...three times. Each time, Jessie asks for a rematch, but Robbie E wins with a quick pin. After the third win, Jessie snaps and beats the tar out of Robbie.

Both Team Angle (Kurt Angle, Chris Melendez, Drew Galloway, Micah, Lashley) and Team Young (Eric Young, MVP, Low Ki, Kenny King) convene one last time before the main event...but who is the fifth man for Team Young?

Bram is revealed to be the fifth man for Team Young (Eric Young, MVP, Low Ki, Kenny King).

After calling Mickie an amazing wrestler, mother and friend, Mickie gets a chance to open the present, and inside is a guitar. Storm and Mickie take a selfie, then Magnus shows up. Storm has a gift for him: a helmet signifying the Brutus Magnus gimmick. Magnus and Mickie leave, but Storm has a gift for their son: a doll for when he goes to sleep at night. This gets Magnus' goat, and he gets back in the ring and smacks the guitar right into Storm's head. Roode agrees, Davey Richards shows up, saying they should be on the waists of the best in the world, and the best are the Wolves. He then reveals that his tag team partner, Eddie Edwards, is back. Edwards shows up and says he's medically cleared. After proclaiming The Wolves (Richards, Edwards) are the best, he then challenges The Dirty Heels to a Best of Five series for the titles. The Dirty Heels accept.

Angelina Love is in the ring, and all she cares about is herself. As she talks, Velvet Sky suddenly returns with colored streaks in her hair and a more rugged look. Angelina tries to suck up to Velvet, but it doesn't work. Angelina then snaps and says to a stone-faced Velvet that she made her, and without her, she's nothing. Velvet snaps and attacks Angelina.

Bully Ray tells Eric Young he's playing the World title match really loose, and that he's going to let him and Kurt Angle tear each other apart.

His partner tonight? Kurt Angle.

The Revolution ("The Cowboy" James Storm, Abyss, The Great Sanada, Manik, Khoya) shows up, and Storm displays malicious glee and satisfaction at cutting down Jeff Hardy. He then gives Matt Hardy two options: join The Revolution, or have a hospital bed next to his brother's. Matt chooses the hospital bed, and the Revolution uses the numbers game to their advantage. Before Storm can finish him off with the bullrope, however, The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) show up and blow The Revolution away to make the save for Matt Hardy.

Austin Aries isn't telling when he's going to cash in his Feast or Fired briefcase. The Beat Down Clan (Kenny King, Low Ki, Samoa Joe) attack Austin Aries and MVP takes Aries' briefcase for a World title shot!

The Beat Down Clan (Samoa Joe & MVP) defeated Lashley & Kurt Angle when MVP pins a distracted Lashley after Angle flies into Lashley. Lashley and Angle argue in the ring to end the show.

TNA Lockdown 2015 - The Recap

Results courtesy of Prince Watercress!

All matches take place inside a steel cage. Six Sides of Steel Match rules are in effect. There are no disqualifications, and there are three ways to win: pinfall, submission, or escaping the cage.

The Revolution ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Abyss) retain the TNA World Tag Team Championships against The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) thanks to a blue mist attack from The Great Sanada. After the match, The Revolution (Storm, Abyss, Sanada, Manik, Khoya) try to put The Hardys through tables. Matt goes through one, but Jeff fights back only to be conked in the back of the head by Storm's cowbell and falls off the top of the cage door, leading to him landing on the steel steps neck first and being knocked unconscious.

The Beat Down Clan (MVP, Low Ki, Samoa Joe, Kenny King) set up a game plan for tonight. MVP says he has an offer Kurt Angle can't refuse.

MVP, Eric Young and Kenny King are in the ring. MVP talks about how the six-sided cage can be dangerous while making light of Jeff Hardy's recent injury, and says it will be a bad night for anyone who crosses his path and that of the Beat Down Clan (MVP, King, Low Ki, Samoa Joe). After Eric Young says he'll make Bobby Roode bleed, MVP calls out Kurt Angle so they can have a conversation like men. Angle shows up with Austin Aries and Gunner, and MVP offers that they throw the match and save his partners' careers or else Angle will never walk again. Angle refuses, saying his team won't leave until they kick some ass. His team gets in the cage, and both sides brawl, with the end result being Gunner's arm getting wrecked after Samoa Joe takes a steel chair to it as the Beat Down Clan hold it against the steel cage door.

Gunner still plans on participating in the match between Team Angle (Kurt Angle, Gunner, Austin Aries) vs. The Beat Down Clan (MVP, Samoa Joe, Low Ki, Kenny King), and Kurt Angle tries to appeal to Bobby Lashley for help again.

Awesome Kong beats Havok.

Two weeks ago, Velvet Sky told Angelina Love about her being fired. Angelina Love is more relieved and happy about Velvet's sudden exit than Velvet would ever suspect.

When Lashley hears that Kurt Angle is looking for him, Lashley makes it known to Angle that he's not too hard to find.

Bobby Roode beats Eric Young, making good on his promise to make EY bleed.

Kurt Angle tries to get Lashley to join Team Angle, again to no avail.

Tyrus beats Rockstar Spud and Mandrews thanks to Ethan Carter III picking off Mandrews' ankle from ringside, causing Mandrews to hit the steel steps headfirst. After the match, EC3 tries to cut his opponents' hair, but Jeremy Borash cuts the power to the electric razor, causing EC3 to come after him.

Brooke beats Robbie E in a competition involving spinning around a baseball bat three times, climbing up the cage, getting in the ring and returning back to the start.

Team Angle (Kurt Angle, Austin Aries, Gunner) beats The Beat Down Clan (MVP, Kenny King, Samoa Joe, Low Ki) in a Lethal Lockdown match thanks to Team Angle gaining a sudden fourth member: Lashley, who has a change of heart and teases a backstab to set the stage for evened odds.
