Making an iMPACT! - Impact Wrestling recap for February 2, 2016

Earlier today, Ethan Carter III tells cameraman to meet him at an unspecified place at 4 PM for an interview.

Matt Hardy, Reby Sky and Tyrus appear to start the show. Matt says we won't get Jeff Hardy tonight, because Jeff made a big mistake last week. Reby says it didn't have to be this way, and believes that Jeff is just jealous that Matt won the World Heavyweight title. As Matt Hardy says that last week's actions were good for business for the Matt Hardy brand, Eric Young and Bram show up. EY takes pride in bringing immense pain to both Bobby Roode and Jeff Hardy, and praises Matt as world champ, but says the title goes through him. Kurt Angle shows up and says he's talked to TNA official concerning his next farewell tour match...and it's him vs Matt for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. A livid Matt Hardy tells Kurt Angle he will end his career if he keeps this up, but Angle says he can whup everyone in the ring right now if he has to. Suddenly, Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) show up, and they're in the mood for a fight, and declare that they will give a beatdown to Eric Young and Bram. This starts a brawl in which Crazzy Steve and Abyss show up in order to take advantage of the confusion, but The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) follow them into the ring and fight them off. Bobby Roode then declares that not only will Angle become the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion, but that Beer Money and The Wolves will take on Eric Young, Bram, Abyss and Crazzy Steve in a hardcore fight.

Drew Galloway says Feast or Fired was a big risk, but he now controls his own destiny. Tyrus shows up and tells him to set the briefcase down and walk away as it is a target on his chest. Drew tells him he has no plans of doing that, and Tyrus pretty much tells Drew that it's his funeral.

Lashley beats Aiden O'Shea despite the distraction provided by Raquel. After the match, Raquel heads into the ring and gets a microphone. She tells Lashley the same message as last time: she can bring him pain, or she can bring him pleasure.

Ethan Carter III says the world will hear it all tonight...

Maria Kanellis shows up and says that women's wrestling needs a leader to point it in the right direction. She decrees that the Knockouts Division is broken. Gail Kim shows up, and says she respect Maria, but Maria fancies herself a businesswoman and says she can make Gail mainstream. Gail Kim says she doesn't need her help, and to put her boots on if she wants to make but Maria calls her "part of the problem" and says that someone like Gail should be working for her. Gail wants none of this, and wants to fight her right now. Maria retreats.

Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) and The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) talk backstage. They almost come to blows over Beer Money's tag team title shot, but Roode reminds everyone to concentrate on tonight.

Eric Young, Bram and The Decay (Crazzy Steve and Abyss) beat The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) and Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) in a 4-on-4 "hardcore war."

Drew Galloway congratulates Kurt Angle on their match, and wishes him luck in his match tonight.

Drew Galloway vs. Tyrus ends when the lights go out and Maria Kanellis shows up to tell Galloway his miracle begins now. When the lights come back on, "The Miracle" Michael Bennett hits Galloway with his own Feast or Fired briefcase. He tells Galloway that he is the miracle TNA is and not Galloway.

Kurt Angle says he's had the time of his life in TNA. Lashley wishes him luck tonight.

Gregory Shane Helms shows up, but he is not dressed for the ring. He then tells Tigre Uno, who is already in the ring, that the match isn't against him, but against someone he has mentored: Trevor Lee.

Trevor Lee beats Tigre Uno to win the TNA X Division Championship!

The now-once-defeated Ethan Carter III says he suffered the worst beating of his life two weeks ago. He congratulates Matt Hardy for winning the World title from him, but mentions that he didn't do it alone and that he kept getting back up. EC3 then declares he will be taking a plan for the UK and that he is coming for Matt Hardy and the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Matt Hardy retains the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Kurt Angle with help from Reby Sky and Tyrus.

Making an iMPACT! - Impact Wrestling recap for January 19, 2016

Jeff Hardy starts off tonight's show. He feels something is off about the deal Matt Hardy made to Ethan Carter III, and asks him to come to the ring. He does. Jeff knows he and Matt have become famous out of taking huge risks, and owes Matt so much, but he feels uneasy about tonight's main event. Matt feels he's let everyone down, but says tonight is the night for this. He knows Ethan Carter III uses his ego to get around, and decided to beat him at his own game by putting his TNA career on the line. He plans to beat EC3 at his own game and make everyone proud. Jeff understands, and says Matt still has a chance. Suddenly, Tyrus shows up and says that their dreams will become nightmares. He says Matt has made a mistake and that EC3 will take care of him, but says that Jeff made an even bigger mistake by insulting his intelligence, and challenges him right then and there. Hardy agrees, and they have their match right now.

Jeff Hardy beats Tyrus by disqualification after Tyrus shoves the ref down outside of the ring. After the match, Jeff Hardy hits a Twist of Fate from out of nowhere.

The Feast or Fired match happens next week!

The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) have come out on top in TNA for the last two years...and they want Beer Money (Bobby Roode and "The Cowboy" James Storm) in a match. Suddenly, they are attacked by a crazed Crazzy Steve and by Abyss.

Thanks to Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne fending off the rest of The Dollhouse (Jade, Marti Bell, Rebel), Gail Kim retains the TNA Knockouts Championship against Awesome Kong.

Beer Money (Bobby Roode and "The Cowboy" James Storm) show up and call out Eric Young and Bram. Instead, they get Eli Drake and Jessie Godderz. Eli Drake says Beer Money's time has come and gone, and Jessie Godderz plans on breaking the both of them. Beer Money go to town on the both of them and immediately get this match started.

Beer Money (Bobby Roode and "The Cowboy" James Storm) beat Eli Drake and Jessie Godderz.

It is announced that Jeff Hardy has re-injured his leg.

Reby Sky, Matt Hardy and son Maxwell meet up with Jeff Hardy. Matt tells Jeff to get medical treatment for his knee, and says he'll be fine in his match tonight.

Kurt Angle shows up. He thanks the fans, and says that his match against Drew Galloway last week was wonderful, and that it was the kind of match he'd like to have on his farewell tour. When he asks who's next, Lashley appears. He says he respects Angle more than anyone else in the business for discovering him and helping him get into professional wrestling. He also remembers their match from this time last year, and even though Lashley lost, he says the match was incredible. He has looked back on it frequently, and he wants another match with Angle. Angle doesn't know if he can beat Lashley again, but he's up to challenge and grants him a rematch. Lashley then says "I'm gonna beat your ass, Kurt."

Lashley meets Raquel backstage, who tells him "your pain is my pleasure."

"The Miracle" Mike Bennett beats Pepper Parks. After the match, Bennett says that the audience has just witnessed a real life miracle and that he is building "a kingdom of miracles."

Ethan Carter III tells Matt Hardy that this ends tonight, as he says that Hardy cannot beat him. The camera zooms out to reveal that EC3 and Tyrus are sitting in an ambulance, and EC3 says that Hardy will be leaving in it tonight.

Matt Hardy beats Ethan Carter III in a Last Man Standing match with help from wife Reby Sky and from a turncoat Tyrus to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship! During the match, Hardy uses unsavory tacts to beat EC3, causing Hardy to turn heel and Ethan Carter III to turn face.

After the match, Matt Hardy says he beat the unbeaten Ethan Carter III and win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship for Matt Hardy. She then calls the fans "gnats," "ants," and "insignificant," then puts his wife Reby Sky on a pedestal and says Tyrus made the right business decision by turning on EC3. After saying that this is the beginning of "Big Money Matt," he places EC3 head on top of a steel chair, then smacks him in the head with another one before he, Reby and Tyrus head to the top of the entrance ramp and lift Matt's arms high in victory to end the show.

Wednesday Night iMPACT! - Impact Wrestling recap for September 30, 2015

Ethan Carter and Tyrus show up. EC3 brags about getting rid of Jeff Hardy, then focuses on Drew Galloway. He then calls out his aunt Dixie Carter, after saying that she's been cheerleading for him as of late. Dixie shows up and calls EC3's out-of-ring behavior "deplorable" for not involving himself in the feud between TNA and Global Force Wrestling. EC3 says he told her not to trust Jeff Jarrett, but she didn't listen. He also says he sleeps "pretty damn comfortably now that he's World Heavyweight Champion." He tells Drew Galloway that he can't beat him. Drew Galloway shows up and stares down with EC3, then tells him to shut up and that nobody likes him after being self-entitled and turning his back on TNA, but EC3 replies by saying he is TNA and the company is his regardless. Galloway tells EC3 there's a reason he led Team TNA, and that he'll tear him apart at Bound For Glory. After EC3 tells him that's not gonna happen, Galloway stares down with EC3 and then Tyrus.

"The Cowboy" James Storm blames Mahabali Shera for the dissolution of The Revolution, and says that tonight, it's no-disqualification. He plans to cut Shera down.

EC3 tells Dixie Carter that he plans to destroy Drew Galloway's career along with his title aspirations tonight, and to destroy the future before it can start as he feels he should be the franchise guy, not Galloway.

Mahabali Shera beats "The Cowboy" James Storm in a no-disqualification match with help from Abyss and Manik.

Bobby Roode plans to explain what the King of the Mountain title means to him...

Dixie Carter is tired of Ethan Carter III's questioning her every move, and decides to make the main event match more interesting. If Drew Galloway and Matt Hardy can beat EC3 and Tyrus tonight, Matt Hardy will be added to the world title match at Bound For Glory, making it a triple threat match.

Bobby Roode shows up. He is proud to be TNA King of the Mountain Champion, and says that the title represents professional wrestling. He plans to become a great fighting champion, and issues an open challenge for the title at Bound For Glory and prove he is the It Factor of professional wrestling. Lashley shows up and shakes Roode's hand out of respect, then answers Roode's challenge, wanting to go one more time. Roode shakes his hand and accepts.

Taryn Terrell tells Jade, Marti Bell and Rebel they have the advantage tonight. She plans to crush The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne) forever.

Trevor Lee beats DJ Z and Tommaso Ciampa.

The Beautiful People (Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, Madison Rayne) tell The Dollhouse (Taryn Terrell, Jade, Marti Bell, Rebel) they've made it personal...and they plan to tear them apart one ugly limb at a time.

Ethan Carter III is not at all happy with the caveat that Dixie Carter has added to the main event. Nevertheless, he plans to win tonight and at Bound For Glory.

The Dollhouse (Jade, Marti Bell, Rebel) beat The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne) after Rebel throws powder into Madison's eyes behind the referee's back.

Eric Young is in the mood for a fight tonight...

Eric Young shows up. He says he had Chris Melendez beat until thirty guys ran interference, and says this is the only reason Melendez beat him. EY then says he's not afraid of anybody, and that nobody has the guts to take him on. Robbie E shows up and tells him to shut up, and that he's ready to fight. EY makes quick work of Robbie E, then Melendez shows up. They fight, but Melendez uses EY's steel chair against him to make him retreat. EY tries to leave, but Mr. Anderson shows up to cut him off before getting a piece of EY. Robbie E, Chris Melendez and Mr. Anderson all take down EY together.

Matt Hardy talks with Drew Galloway backstage. They plan to win tonight, but come Bound For Glory, it's every man for himself in the title match.

Eric Young wants Dixie's help, saying it's not fair that the whole roster is after him. Instead, Dixie tells him he's facing Kurt Angle at Bound For Glory.

Drew Galloway and Matt Hardy beat Ethan Carter III and Tyrus. As a result, Matt Hardy is now part of the TNA World Heavyweight Championship match at Bound For Glory. After the match, Dixie Carter shows up and announces that the world title match will have a special guest referee: Jeff Hardy.

Wednesday Night iMPACT! - Impact Wrestling recap for September 9, 2015

Ethan Carter III and Tyrus show up to start the show. He talks about the TNA-GFW feud, then says he doesn't give a crap and that he's still world champion. He admits that Matt Hardy gave him a match for the ages, but says Matt still made a grave mistake in betting against him. He then says to the victor goes the spoils, and the spoils for EC3 is a new personal assistant in Jeff Hardy. EC3 immediately starts bossing him around, stripping him of his entrance music and tossing water at him after Hardy hands them a few bottles of water. Hardy also gets a first-day gift: a giant EC3 head on a stick, which he has to hold up at all times. EC3 then gives Hardy a few index cards to read off, which put EC3 on a pedestal. We also find out that Matt Hardy is in action tonight, tagging with Rockstar Spud against Ethan Carter III and Tyrus. That match is next.

Ethan Carter III and Tyrus beat Matt Hardy and Rockstar Spud. Jeff Hardy refuses to interfere on EC3 and Tyrus' behalf.

The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) talk backstage with Drew Galloway. The Wolves are ready to get their tag titles back, while Galloway is ready to get Team TNA the advantage next week.

Taryn Terrell is tired of Velvet Sky...and she sends Jade, Marti Bell and Rebel out to take down one of The Beautiful People (Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, Madison Rayne).

Madison Rayne is attacked by The Dollhouse (Jade, Marti Bell, Rebel), but Angelina Love and Velvet Sky help make the save until Jade is able to attack Angelina with a steel chair before getting away.

Jeff and Karen Jarrett show up. They say that Team GFW is ready to win the match between Drew Galloway and Chris Mordetzky and complete their hostile corporate takeover of TNA. He then calls out Bobby Roode, demanding he return the King of the Mountain title to Global Force Wrestling. Roode shows up, and Jarrett demands the title back, but Roode refuses, saying the title belongs to TNA and the TNA fans. Roode is about to fight Jarrett, but Karen stops it, telling Jeff that he's jeapordizing everything if he fights Roode, and telling Roode that he should be more concerned about securing his spot now that he's a week away from answering to Jeff. Karen goes on to say that Roode and Dixie Carter are both outnumbered, as is TNA, and says that Roode should consider teaming up with Jarrett like he has time and again. Karen then tells Jeff that they're leaving, and they do.

Eli Drake talks with Kenny King and Jessie Godderz. Drew McIntyre asks them if they know what's going on, but they don't care as they're going to be here regardless of who wins between TNA and GFW. He introduces three men who will fight for TNA: Tigre Uno, Robbie E and Micah. They brush them off, but this starts a brawl between the two groups that officials have to break up.

Ethan Carter III and Tyrus catch up with Jeff Hardy, telling him to hit someone when he tells him to hit someone, but chalks Hardy's refusal up to "first day jitters." He then tells EC3 to sell some of his T-shirts "to the Creatures."

Robbie E, Micah and Tigre Uno beat Jessie Godderz, Eli Drake and Kenny King.

Gail Kim vs. Brooke for the TNA Knockouts Championship with Lei'D Tapa and Royal Red taking the TNA Knockouts Championship, distracting Brooke in the process. Brooke fights off Lei'D Tapa outside the ring, and the match ends with Brooke retaining the Knockouts title and beating Gail Kim by disqualification after Tapa hits Brooke in the back of the head with the Knockouts title. Gail Kim fights off Lei'D Tapa but is easily overpowered. Awesome Kong shows up after that, and both women stare down in the center of the ring before getting into a big brawl. Neither woman can take the other down, and after a body slam from Tapa, Kong gets right back up and does one of her own before sending Tapa out of the ring.

Team GFW is backstage, staying focused for tonight. Jarrett tells them that he has something special for them later tonight.

Jeff Hardy and Drew Galloway talk about the TNA-GFW feud backstage, but Ethan Carter III and Tyrus tells him it's not their fight, that they have dinner reservations and that Hardy has gear to clean.

The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) beat Brian Myers and Trevor Lee to take back the TNA Tag Team Championships, thanks to a little help from...Earl Hebner? Hebner shows up after Sonjay Dutt shows up and drags the first ref out of the ring to beat him up. Hebner shows up, hits Sonjay Dutt in the face with a solid right and counts the pinfall for The Wolves.

Chris Melendez may no longer have his prosthetic leg, but he's not done with Eric Young just yet.

Chris Melendez shows up. He's still ready to kick some ass despite not having his prosthetic leg (and being on his last leg), and calls out Eric Young, saying he's ready to go. Eric Young shows up with the prosthetic leg, which has been desecrated with tape with the words "E.Y." and "MY LEG" written on it. He says that if an American hero looks like Chris Melendez, then he doesn't want to be a hero. EY makes light of Chris, but Chris tells EY that when he's done with him, he'll be the one needing the leg. EY taunts Chris with the leg, pushing him down and telling him that the next time they're wrestle, EY will take everything from him.

Drew Galloway is assured that he's going to get the advantage for Team TNA tonight, and that he'll get payback on Chris Mordetzky for the backstage beatdown that he gave him.

Josh Mathews interviews Mahabali Shera. Shera grew up with nothing in India. He considers Kurt Angle his hero, and is honored that Angle introduced him to TNA, saying he wants to give back to him 200%. He says that acclimating to USA has not been easy, especially with no friends and no family. He explains his time in The Revolution, saying he did not like the name "Khoya," and tells "The Cowboy" James Storm that he will beat him and show him who he truly his.

Chris Mordetzky beats Drew Galloway in a lumberjack match to gain the one-man advantage for Team GFW next week. Near the end of the match, the lumberjacks brawled, and Jeff Jarrett tried to smash a guitar into Drew Galloway's head. Eric Young shows up and grabs the guitar to stop Jarrett, but Young smacks the guitar into Galloway's head anyway.

Wednesday Night iMPACT - Impact Wrestling recap for June 3rd, 2015

Ethan Carter III shows up with Tyrus and two young ladies to a barbershop quintet singing his theme song. They all celebrate EC3 being #1 on the Impact Top Five. After teasing everyone with the prospect of Tyrus dancing, EC3 states that the World title is his only conquest left, and he calls out Kurt Angle in order to “commemorate his final days as champion.” Kurt Angle shows up, and tells him he’s not exactly #1 contender. Next week is Destination X, and though Angle is waiting for the day to shut him up, it might be Rockstar Spud as he just might cash in the X Division title for a shot at him. EC3 says he knows Spud, and says he’ll make him an offer he can’t refuse. As EC3 leaves, so does the barbershop quintet, but the bass vocalist gets an Angle Slam.

Lashley beats Eric Young in his first match since returning from injury, thanks to the distraction from Chris Melendez. After the match, Chris Melendez goes after EY, and Lashley has to hold him back.

It’s decision time for Rockstar Spud. Keep the X Division title? Or cash it in for a shot at the World title? Spud doesn’t know what to do…

After talking about her recent match with Gail Kim to Jade and Marti Bell, Taryn Terrell gives Awesome Kong a shot at the Knockouts title. She tells Jade and Mari Bell that they’re playing alone and to “go get their victim.”

Chris Melendez tells Eric Young he’s taken him to the danger zone…and he wants a fight.

Austin Aries sits down with Rockstar Spud, telling him to give it some thought before making his decision.

The Rising (Drew Galloway, Micah, Eli Drake) beat The Beat Down Clan (MVP, Kenny King, Low Ki).

Ethan Carter III has just had a telephone conversation that will change Rockstar Spud’s life forever…

Mickie James runs into “The Cowboy” James Storm in Nashville.

Jeremy Borash interviews Rockstar Spud in the ring. As he decides, Kurt Angle shows up and tells Spud that while he respects him, he needs to know what he’s up against. Before Spud can make a decision, Ethan Carter III and Tyrus show up. Ethan Carter III has gotten off the phone with Dixie Carter, and he offers Spud a lifetime contract as Chief of Staff if he keeps the X Division title and lets him get the shot at Angle. Ethan Carter III has none of it, and tells him to stick it all up his arse as he refuses to throw the last fourteen years of his career away. He cashes in the X Division title before EC3 shoves him into the corner and retreats. Angle grabs a microphone and challenges EC3 and Tyrus to a tag match tonight against him and Spud.

Bobby Roode and Austin Aries talk backstage. They’re 0-2, and they need to go big or go home. Aries hands Bobby Roode a gray T-shirt.

Storm and Mickie talk in Nashville. It becomes apparent that this isn’t a meeting with music executives, as Storm asks Mickie to join The Revolution. Mickie is officially creeped out, refuses and leaves. Storm stops Mickie and tells her he respects her decision, but as he hugs her, he grimaces.

The Dirty Heels (Bobby Roode and Austin Aries) beat The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) with a low blow and a chair shot behind the referee’s back to go 1-2 in the Best of Five series.

“The Cowboy” James Storm pushes Mickie down into the nearby train tracks in Nashville, and tells Magnus through her cellphone that “she’s not coming home for dinner.”

Madison Rayne is in the ring. She complains that unless you’re either a member of The Dollhouse (Taryn Terrell, Jade, Marti Bell) or Gail Kim, you get nothing in TNA. She also mentions Velvet Sky’s actions from last week and says that if she gets enough attention, she’ll show up. Sure enough, Velvet Sky shows up and is allowed over the security barricade. Madison tells Velvet what her place is by slapping her, but Velvet breaks her in half with a Spear before hitting a Stunner. After this, Angelina Love shows up again, and Velvet Sky fights off Love’s personal security one more only to get cuffed and hauled off a second time…but not before Love attacks Velvet. After Velvet is hauled off, two real security guards show up and cuff Angelina Love for attacking a fan, and this time her personal security can’t help her as she too is hauled off.

Rockstar Spud and Kurt Angle beat Ethan Carter III and Tyrus. After the match, Austin Aries shows up and admires Spud’s decision yet questions his decision making, before announcing that he will cash in his Feast or Fired briefcase for the World Heavyweight Championship next week on the winner of Rockstar Spud vs. Kurt Angle for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Ethan Carter III is ticked off, still insisting he’s #1.

Bobby Roode shows up and wants a shot at the title that was stolen from him. As he shows respect towards Angle and tells him everyone's gunning for his World title, Eric Young shows up and says he stole the title from Bobby Roode because he can, and that as long as he's breathing, the title goes through him and Roode will never be world champ again. As he does so, Lashley shows up and tells him "we fight," telling him that he wants a rematch. Angle tells him he's got it...and out come the officials to separate them. As the officials are busy, everyone else brawls with each other, and Mr. Anderson shows up to attack both EC3 and Tyrus. During the break, the brawl turns into a sanctioned six-man tag team match between the team of Eric Young, Ethan Carter III and Tyrus and the team of Mr. Kennedy, Austin Aries and Bobby Roode.

He tells Bram he'll fight him anywhere and everywhere, and says he's up to it before trying to cat-call Mickie. Magnus rushes towards Bram only to get hit with a low blow.
