The Code of Honor - Ring of Honor Wrestling recap for January 30, 2016

Roderick Strong retains the ROH World Television Championship against Masada after Masada's sharp bamboo sticks backfire. After the match, Bobby Fish trolls Roddy yet again, saying that Roddy is ducking him after Final Battle. Roddy says Bobby can't handle defeat, but Bobby says Roddy is staring defeat in the face after what happened at Final Battle. Roddy thinks Bobby is a sore loser, but Bobby thinks Roddy is just running away and wants to go to war. Bobby says he's a patient man, and he has no place better to be than up in Roddy's face.

Punisher Martinez beats Colby Corino to continue to the second round of the Top Prospect 2016 Tournament. After the match, BJ Whitmer tells Colby he did good, then tells Colby to tell Mr. Wrestling III to take off his mask. He tells Colby that he has shown him nothing but love, something that Steve Corino has supposedly never done. BJ Whitmer then tells Mr. Wrestling III to take off his mask. He refuses, and BJ Whitmer almost turns on Colby for going back to his dad on Christmas. He can forgive Colby, but not the sins of his father, and attacks Colby with numerous suplexes. Mr. Wrestling III stands up and watches as officials tell him to stop, then BJ Whitmer gets out of the ring and gets in Mr. Wrestling III's face.

Nigel McGuiness replaces Mr. Wrestling III on commentary, after Mr. Wrestling III helps Colby Corino to the back during the break.

reDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly) beat Jay Lethal and Adam Cole after Jay Lethal accidentally hits the Lethal Injection on Adam Cole after Bobby Fish pushes him into Kyle O'Reilly, pushing O'Reilly out of harm's way and lining up Cole for the finisher.

The Code of Honor - Ring of Honor Wrestling recap for December 5, 2015

reDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly) beat Silas Young and The Beer City Bruiser. After the match, Adam Cole - who shows up midway through the match to guest on commentary - approaches the ring, starting an argument between him and Kyle O'Reilly that officials have to break up. After they leave, Silas Young sics The Boys on the referee, who attack him on Young's orders. Suddenly, Dalton Castle shows up before Young and The Bruiser can leave, and says he wants his boys back. The Boys almost join Castle in the ring, but suddenly elect to stay with Young, much to Castle's surprise.

Chris Sabin is in the ring. He is angered that someone has stolen the Knights of the Rising Dawn gimmick, cost "The Almighty" Chris Sabin and Frankie Kazarian the ROH World Tag Team Championships as well as the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship and generally show up when he's not around and do his own moves. Sabin insists this man is not him, and calls the mystery man out, and decides to hijacki the show until he shows up. Suddenly, the masked man shows up, unmasks and reveals himself to be...Alex Shelley, Sabin's former teammate in the Motor City Machine Guns. An understandably betrayed Sabin walks out of the ring.

Bobby Fish guests on commentary for the next match.

Roderick Strong retains the ROH World Television Championship against Samson Walker. After the match, Bobby Fish shows up and puts the Television title around his waist. Roddy rips it from his waist and the two of them start arguing, after comments during the match made by Fish that Roderick turned the title into a consolation prize for being unable to beat Jay Lethal so many times.

"The Exotic Goddess" Mandy Leon talks about Night One of Survival of the Fittest 2015 in this week's Inside ROH.

The All Night Express (Kenny King and Rhett Titus) guest on commentary for the next match.

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) beat The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe). After the match, The All Night Express (Kenny King and Rhett Titus) gets in the face of both teams, starting a brawl that officials have to quickly break up.

The Code of Honor - Ring of Honor Wrestling recap for November 21, 2015

Moose beats Dominick Carter with a single Spear. Stokely Hathaway then sends a message to Jay Lethal: if and when he gets the opportunity, he will take the World Television Championship from him. He then says that this message sounds familiar, as "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin said this last week. He has no hard feelings towards Elgin, but tells Elgin he's bigger, stronger and just plain better than him, and that he can't even beat Moose. As soon as he tells Elgin to get to the back of the line, Elgin shows up and tells Hathaway that if Moose wants real competition and wants to speak for himself, he's standing right here. Moose grabs the mic and says he can do it right here, right now. Suddenly, The House of Truth (Truth Martini, Donovan Dijak, J. Diesel, Taeler Hendrix) shows up, and Truth Martini makes fun of everyone in the ring. Elgin says he can take down both J. Diesel and Donovan Dijak right now, and then show Taeler Hendrix a good time. Hathaway is also open to giving them a beatdown, and both Moose and Elgin end up being on the same side in an impromptu match against Dijak and J. Diesel.

Moose and "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin beat The House of Truth (Donovan Dijak and J. Diesel), despite the two of them not getting along.

BJ Whitmer, Adam Page and Colby Corino are in the ring. BJ Whitmer says that Steve Corino is scared of him and tried to quit to get out of a match with him, and calls the audience idiots for buying his speech from last week. He also verbally attacks Nigel McGuinness, saying he did the same thing as Corino. McGuinness gets in the ring and says he's sick of hearing Whitmer talk, and says that if Corino can't be at Final Battle, neither can BJ Whitmer or Adam Page. He then calls for security to get them out of the ring.

Moose beats Donovan Dijak with the spear.

A newly aggressive Dalton Castle beats Cedric Alexander in his first match since  losing his boys to Silas Young at All-Star Extravaganza. Veda Scott grabs the mic and accuses Nigel McGuiness for "forcing" Cedric in a No Disqualification Match at ASE. She says that he should have not been in that kid of environment and that they are not barbarians. Veda says that they are going to settle this in the most civil way possible: in court. She is now looking to sue Ring of Honor for putting Cedric in the match.

Jay Lethal and Truth Martini shows up. Before Martini could get a sentence in, Roderick Strong immediately interrupts. Roddy congratulates The H.O.T. for making history, and he also congratulates Lethal - and offers his hand to him. Lethal doesn't accept. He congratulates Martini and says that if it weren't for him, Lethal wouldn't even be in Ring of Honor. Lethal grabs the mic and says that he is the best in the world. Roddy wants one more match, but Lethal turns him down, and says that he has beat him a thousand times. Lethal says that he will make the decision on who he will defend his titles against. he calls Nigel out to settle the dispute, who agrees that Roddy has to go back to the back of the line, and that A.J. Styles is the #1 contender for the World title. However, there is no #1 contender for the Television title. Nigel makes Roddy the new #1 contender for the Television title, much to the dismay of Jay Lethal.

Michael Elgin & reDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly) beats The Kingdom (Michael Bennett, Adam Cole, Matt Taven). After the match, Nigel McGuiness announces that Adam Cole will face off against A.J. styles in next week's main event!

We revisit The Addiction (Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian) vs. reDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly) for the ROH World Tag Team Championships from April 25, 2015.

We look back at the cage match between S.C.U.M. and Team ROH from July 27, 2013 which saw the dissolution of S.C.U.M.

We look back at Donovan Dijak vs. Will Ferrara in the finals of the 2015 Top Prospect Tournament from March 7, 2015.

We revisit ACH and "Rebourne" Matt Sydal for the ROH World Tag Team Championships from December 27, 2014.

The Code of Honor - Ring of Honor Wrestling recap for July 11, 2015

Matt Sydal beats Adam Page with the Shooting Star Press. B.J. Whitmer attacks Matt Syadal and orders Colby Corino to grabs some chairs. A.C.H. runs in for the save momentarily until he gets hits with a chair. Adam Page then hits the Rite of Passage to Matt Sydal on a pile of steel chairs and he had to carried out afterwards.

Cedric Alexander, who now has the managerial services of Veda Scott, will face Moose at Death Before Dishonor XIII.

Veda Scott is at ringside. She says that Moose failed at being a football player, and that Cedric "bringing a wrench into the match" made him fail at being a professional wrestler. She says that having celebrity friends do not win matches, but ruthless aggression and being under her tutelage wins matches. With this, she vows that Cedric Alexander will take everything that he never deserved.

Will Ferrera beats Silas Young following the distraction by Dalton Castle's servants. The former lays them out afterwards.

The Briscoes (Jay & Mark) hypes the 200th episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling next week!

Mandy Leon discusses Cedric Alexander joining forces with Veda Scott on this week's Inside ROH.

Jay Lethal beats Mark Briscoe to retain the ROH World Television Championship. Jay Briscoe, who attacked J. Diesel at ringside, goes into the ring and he and Lethal go at it. Roderick Strong storms the ring to assist Jay Briscoe and attacks Jay Lethal. Roddy grabs the mic and challenges the House of Truth (Lethal, Diesel, Dijak) to a six man tag team match. But, ODB grabs the mic and instead challenges the faction to an eight man tag team match, thus adding Truth Martini to the mix.

Death Before Dishonor XIII will air on internet pay-per-view on July 24th, 2015!

Before his match with Kyle O'Reilly, Chris Sabin heads into the ring, then takes a shortcut through the audience to the backstage. When O'Reilly comes out, Sabin viciously blindsides him.

Chris Sabin beats Kyle O'Reilly after The Addiction (Christopher Daniels and Kazarian) run interference, despite the best efforts by Bobby Fish to stop them.

Alberto El Patron, ACH and Matt Sydal beat The Briscoes (Jay and Matt Briscoe) and Roderick Strong.

The Code of Honor - Ring of Honor Wrestling recap for March 21, 2015

Roderick Strong beats Bobby Fish. Roddy says that whoever's the World Champion - whether it be Jay Briscoe or Samoa Joe - they are his.

This year's Top Prospect Tournament winner Donovan Dijak is scheduled to face Jay Lethal for the ROH World Television Championship. However, things change when Truth Martini runs his famous con game on Dijak, which results in Donovan is shaking Martini's hand, thus joining the House of Truth. The flamboyant Dalton Castle makes his way to the ring and calls out Donovan Dijak for not taking the Television Title natch instead. He then challenges Jay Lethal to match for the TV title, but a disgusted Lethal turns him down. When Dalton brings up challenging Jay Briscoe for his title because he heard that he's a real champion, that struck a nerve in Lethal and he viciously attacks Dalton Castle,making the World Television title match official.

Jay Lethal beats Dalton Castle with the help of Donovan Dijak to retain the ROH World Television Championship.

Knights of the Rising Dawn cut into the feed of reDRagon, they say their targets have systematically been selected both good & evil, they’re presence has been made, but it has not been felt, their power can not be stopped.

Jay Briscoe beats Jimmy Jacobs to retain the ROH World Championship. After the match, Jay offers up his hand. A teary-eyed Jacobs accepts, and shakes his hand in respect.

Next week on Ring of Honor Wrestling: Samoa Joe makes his in-ring ROH return as he takes on Kyle O'Reilly!

Alberto El Patron defeated ACH with the Cross armbar!

Footage of The Briscoes (Mark & Jay) training ODB at their farm in Sandy Fork, Delaware is shown. The training activities were exercises such as: (list exercises)

Michael Elgin defeated Mark Briscoe with his brother Jay Briscoe's signature Jay Driller. After the match, Elgin grabs a piece of the turnbuckle to use on Mark. Before any damage could be done, Jay Briscoe hits the ring and Elgin makes a run for it. However, when Jay turns around, Elgin hits Jay with the ROH World title belt. Tommaso Ciampa attacks Elgin behind, laying him out, only for Hanson to attack Ciampa from behind. Seeing Hanson holding the title belt, Jay Briscoe charges back in on the attack, taking the fight outside of the ring. Briscoe, Hanson and Elgin all go at it until Ciampa hits a diving crossbody from the tuop tirnbuckle to the outside of the ring, hitting Jay and Hanson as Elgin moves out of the way.

Jimmy Jacobs guest on commentary for the main event match.

With the attack by B.J. Whitmer on Roderick Strong, the match ends in disqualification. Afterwards, Roddy challenges Jay Lethal to restart the match, because he did not beat him the first go round. In the restart of the match, Jay Lethal retains the ROH World Television Championship. Backstage, Roddy and B.J. Whitmer brawl and other wrestlers and officials keep them off of each other. Meanwhile, in the ring, Lethal is still in, but is met with Alberto El Patron, who attacks him and Lethal and Martini flee the ring.

***No review this week. I will put all of my thoughts into my predictions for the ROH 13th Anniversary event which will take place on March 1st.***

The Code of Honor- Ring of Honor Wrestling Recap for January 10th, 2015

Show Results:

1. Roderick Strong defeated Mark Briscoe
2. Jay Briscoe knows that he has a non-title match against a member of The Kingdom, but he wants the title ON THE LINE. He also says that The Kingdom has something that belongs to him... and he wants it back (his custom championship belt).
3. ROH matchmaker Nigel McGuiness is in he ring he has several pieces of business tonight including tonight;s main event: Michael Elgin vs. Hanson. Another piece of business Nigel has on his plate... Tommaso Ciampa. He calls Ciampa out to the ring. He says that there is a "No Tolerance Rule", and if it wasn't for the heated discussion that he had with the higher-ups in ROH, Ciampa would have been fined. With this... Nigel says Ciampa owes him one. Ciampa feels that the ROH World Champion, Jay Briscoe owes him a title shot. Nigel points out that Michael Elgin beat him a Final Battle, but Ciampa states otherwise, claiming that "Tommaso Ciampa beat Tommaso Ciampa". Michael Elgin comes out, who looks to confront Ciampa. Nigel then sets up a #1 contender's triple threat match for the ROH World Championship: Ciampa vs. Hanson vs. Elgin!
4. "The First Lady of ROH" Maria Kanellis says that Jay Briscoe's property is her "Title of Love" and that if dare thinks off doing anything to her, is has a Kingdom to protect the Queen.
5. First Round of 2015 Top Prospect Tournament: Will Ferrera defeated J. Diesel to advance. After the match, J. Diesel attacks Will Ferrera
6. Three Way/ #1 Contenders Match for the ROH World Championship: Michael Elgin vs. Tommaso Ciampa vs. Hanson ended in a no contest awhen referee Todd Sinclair is knocked out after a dive executed by Hanson.

Review:

First episode of 2015 kicking off with a bang! Tonight, the annual Top Prospect Tournament showcasing professional wrestling's brightest young stars was introduced, with the competitors in hopes of winning the tournament and earning a shot at the ROH World Television Championship at ROH's 13th Anniversary in Las Vegas, Nevada! Here we go, lets get started:

Mark Briscoe vs. Roderick Strong:

What happens when you get two ROH legends in the squared circle? Amazing stuff! The match was all I expected to see from these two, being that they have competed against each other so many times. Roddy, who broke away from The Decade not too long ago, looks to have a great 2015 with plans of being in the title picture in mind. To be honest, if there's any guy in ROH right now that I would like to see have another reign with the ROH World title, it's Roddy. It's been much too long since he's held the World title, and a second reign has been long overdue. It would be great to see "Mr. ROH" with some ROH gold around his waist again.

First Round of the 2015 Top Prospect Tournament - Will Ferrera vs. J. Diesel (w/ Truth Martini):

The two men in this match both trained in the ROH Dojo and now are becoming regulars in Ring of Honor. J. Diesel is no stranger to ROH audiences, as he has been the security guard or insurance policy, of you will of The House of Truth. Will Ferrera, who is truly an underdog has been really getting things his momentum going in ROH, and you have Caprice Coleman to thank for that.

This match was not over the top, but it did get the point across --- never underestimate your opponent, no matter the size. Ferrera would score the victory and advance to the second round of the tournament. Which makes sense, because if J. Diesel were to win the tournament, he would have to face his H.O.T. partner, Jay Lethal!

Triple Threat/#1 Contenders Match - Michael Elgin vs. Hanson vs. Tommaso Ciampa:

In the first main event of 2015, this match was nothing short of hard-hitting! Originally, the main event was a rematch between Michael Elgin vs. Hanson (who fought to a no-contest two weeks prior to this match), but Elgin and Tommaso Ciampa butted heads earlier in night during a segment with ROH matchmaker Nigel McGuinness, who added Ciampa to the main event.

Nonetheless, this match was incredible. Constant sequences throughout the match and I was pretty sure that there was going to be a clear winner. Close to the end of the match, however, Elgin and Ciampa got into outside of the ring - with referee Todd Sinclair caught in the middle! Out of nowhere, Hanson hits dive to the outside of the ring landing on his opponents and knocking out the referee. With that, the match was deemed a no-contest. Now what? What will be the future of the World title match at ROH's 13th Anniversary? Will Jay Briscoe even have an opponent by then?
