Wrestler of the Day - 9/16: reDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly)

As I said, I will be posting not only about singles wrestlers, but tag teams as well. I'll deliver a short synopsis of the team, and a match that greatly depicts their awesomeness.

Today's "Wrestlers of the Day".... Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly of reDRagon!

This team was originally formed by Kyle O'Reilly as a way to get under his former Team Ambition partner, Davey Richard's skin. Who would have ever thought that they would go on to become one of the best tag teams on the planet today? Every since they won the ROH World Tag Team Championship for the first time back at ROH's 11th Anniversary, they have gone on to win the titles twice more, and was at one point global double champions, as they held the former and IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championships simultaneously.

Here's a match from their time in New Japan Pro Wrestling against another great tag team, The Time Splitters (Alex Shelley & KUSHIDA)! This match took place at Power Struggle on November 8, 2014.

The Code of Honor - Ring of Honor Wrestling recap for July 25, 2015

Maria Kanellis guests on commentary for the next match.

The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Michael Bennett) beat Corey Hollis and Jonathan Gresham.

Prince Nana guests on commentary for the next match.

Moose beats Caprice Coleman, Bob Evans, Silas Young, Cheeseburger and Silas Young in a Six-Man Mayhem match, after Cheeseburger stops Bob Evans from winning the match while putting his feet on the ropes.

BJ Whitmer, Adam Page and Colby Corino are in the ring. Whitmer puts Colby Corino on a pedestal, and tells him he almost beat Moose and War Marchine (Hansen and Rowe), even though he never even came close. He tells Colby he looked at him like a little brother when he brought him in, but now looks at him like a son, much to the displeasure of Steve Corino, and wants Colby to view him like the father he never had. Whitmer tells Colby he got him a gift tonight: a Gauntlet match against four recent Ring of Honor tryouts as part of the "Decade Invitational Gauntlet Match." All of them weigh a combined total of 1,800 lbs. Steve Corino steps in before the match can begin, and when BJ Whitmer involves his family, Corino nearly attacks Whitmer only to be stopped by officials, not least of which is Nigel McGuinness.

"The Exotic Goddess" Mandy Leon takes a look at New Japan Pro Wrestling's return to Ring of Honor.

Nigel McGuinness fills in for Steve Corino for the next match.

Bobby Fish beats ACH. Both men adhere to the Code of Honor after the match.

The Code of Honor - Ring of Honor Wrestling recap for March 21, 2015

Roderick Strong beats Bobby Fish. Roddy says that whoever's the World Champion - whether it be Jay Briscoe or Samoa Joe - they are his.

This year's Top Prospect Tournament winner Donovan Dijak is scheduled to face Jay Lethal for the ROH World Television Championship. However, things change when Truth Martini runs his famous con game on Dijak, which results in Donovan is shaking Martini's hand, thus joining the House of Truth. The flamboyant Dalton Castle makes his way to the ring and calls out Donovan Dijak for not taking the Television Title natch instead. He then challenges Jay Lethal to match for the TV title, but a disgusted Lethal turns him down. When Dalton brings up challenging Jay Briscoe for his title because he heard that he's a real champion, that struck a nerve in Lethal and he viciously attacks Dalton Castle, making the World Television title match official.

Jay Lethal beats Dalton Castle with the help of Donovan Dijak to retain the ROH World Television Championship.

Knights of the Rising Dawn cut into the feed of reDRagon, they say their targets have systematically been selected both good & evil, they’re presence has been made, but it has not been felt, their power can not be stopped.

Jay Briscoe beats Jimmy Jacobs to retain the ROH World Championship. After the match, Jay offers up his hand. A teary-eyed Jacobs accepts, and shakes his hand in respect.

Next week on Ring of Honor Wrestling: Samoa Joe makes his in-ring ROH return as he takes on Kyle O'Reilly!
