Impact Wrestling Results for March 6th, 2014

Bobby Roode shows up with the Bro Mans (Robbie E and Jesse Godderz), who won the TNA Tag Team Titles back in Tokyo recently. Roode plans to run TNA his way after plowing MVP into the ground. Austin Aries (who has since won the X-Division title back from Seiya Sanada in Tokyo) shows up and wants to co-run TNA when Team Dixie wins, causing everyone else to say they want to do so, too, much to Roode's chagrin. As Aries and Roode bicker, MVP shows up with The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards). MVP has gotten another partner, but Dixie Carter shows up before he can announce who it is and tells MVP his choice doesn't matter. MVP's choice is Jeff Hardy, but Dixie won't let that happen. Bobby Roode gets in MVP's face, starting a brawl between the two teams.

Davey Richards has to be taken to the back after Austin Aries attacks him with a chair during the elimination tag team match of MVP and The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) vs Bobby Roode, Aries and Robbie E. Team MVP has an hour to re-renter the ring or Team Roode wins.

Samuel Shaw hasn't gotten the message from last week...

Mr. Anderson substitutes for Christy Hemme, lambasting Samuel Shaw as he announces the next match.

Samuel Shaw vs. Eric Young ends with Shaw choking Mr. Anderson out and going to the back to "reclaim" Christy Hemme.

MVP confronts Austin Aries, telling him he has no character.

Ethan Carter III and Dixie Carter talk about the recent turn of events.

Samuel Shaw confronts Velvet Sky in the female dressing room, and finds out Christy Hemme is in the make-up room.

Ethan Carter III enters the ring, and says Kurt Angle is scared of him and his submission wrestling. Kurt shows up after Ethan calls himself an "American icon," and says Ethan is an "American asshole." He chases Ethan out of the ring, but as he leaves, Ethan rushes back in to attack Angle and blow his knee with a knee lock.

Davey Richards knows what he must do...

ODB, Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne beat Gail Kim, Lei'D Tapa and Alpha Female!

Samuel Shaw thinks he's found Christy Hemme, but it's really Mr. Anderson, who beats Samuel up and tells him to leave Christy alone!

Gunner shows up and tells James Storm his days are numbered. James Storm shows up, and after some talk, Storm beats Gunner up after the latter considers making their match a Last Man Standing match.

Bobby Roode wants the count-out win, but Davey Richards shows up in time.

Bobby Roode beats Davey Richards with the Crossface, giving Team Dixie the advantage at the Lethal Lockdown match this Sunday. MVP and Eddie Edwards have to chase Roode out of the ring to get him to let go.

Dixie Carter's strategy for Magnus: go out and defend his title successfully Sunday. That's it.

Samoa Joe shows up and calls out Magnus, who shows up. He taunts Joe and plans to use his rage against him to retain the world title this Sunday. Samoa Joe tells Magnus he won't be walking out at all when he's done. Magnus beats up Joe, but Joe gets the rear naked choke in on Magnus.

TNA Genesis/Mega Drive Part 2 Results for January 23rd, 2014

Dixie Carter finds out an unknown investor to perform a hostile takeover of TNA! Whoever this is, they don't have Dixie Carter's best interests in mind. Sting is allowed to have a partner in his corner, and Magnus makes their match no-disqualification and no count-out.

Magnus gets in the ring, thinking the unknown investor is Sting or is involved with Sting. He calls Sting out. Sting shows up, and knows nothing about the new investor. After some trash talk, Sting calls Magnus a paper champ and a sell-out yet again, and Magnus slaps Sting. Sting strikes back, and when Rockstar Spud and Ethan Carter III overpower him, Samoa Joe shows up to even the odds. Sting then reveals Samoa Joe is in his corner!

Kurt Angle barely beats Bobby Roode in a steel cage match. The TNA Hall of Fame is open for Angle once again.

The Bro Mans (Robbie E and Jesse Godderz) and DJ Zema Ion inflate their own egos, then Eric Young rushes in only to get beat up. Suddenly, Abyss shows up and makes the save. He nearly chokeslams Young, but then decides to spare him.

Samoa Joe is ready to destroy Rockstar Spud.

Samoa Joe beats Rockstar Spud with the rear naked choke...and is ready to assist Sting.

Despite help from Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle, Magnus retains the TNA World Heavyweight Championship after constant interference by the locker room heels. Sting is gone from TNA, and Magnus tears up his contract.

**BJ Whitmer Possibly Seriously Injury Update, NEW ROH Tag Team Champions crowned last night**

Last night at the Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, The first round of the ROH World title tournament made an unexpected turn for B.J. Whitmer who was immediately injured following a piledriver on the apron. **VIDEO** (courtesy of @multiversefive)

He couldn't feel his arms and legs and the match was called off. Several doctors (including paramedic Davey Richards) came to check on him and carries him out on a stretcher.

Since then, he has been able to move and he's getting a little better. Ring of Honor posted on their Twitter account that B.J. will be held at the hospital in Toronto until Monday, at the soonest. All my thoughts and prayers go to "The Buzzsaw" and I hope he'll make a quick recovery.

**New ROH Tag Team Champions Crowned**

Also, last night at the show in Toronto, the American Wolves once again defeated The Forever Hooligans, but this time to win the ROH World Tag Team Championship. This is their second reign with the belts. To be honest, this is really interesting me because of the facts that their contracts with Ring of Honor were up 3 days ago and they're practically free agents. Maybe ROH will let them have a decent reign with the title belts, and hopefully not drop or be stripped of them.

Honor Level-Up: Previewing the ROH World Title tournament; Future of the American Wolves?

This has REALLY been the talk of the independent tournament. The tournament's filled with such big names as: Kevin Steen, Karl Anderson, Roderick Strong, Jay Lethal, Paul London, and the returning Brian Kendrick. Without a doubt, this should be the biggest event on the independent circuit. It really has everyone wondering who's the worthy winner, since almost everyone in this tournament has the capability of being a World Champion.

When coming to terms of who I think who would be in the finals, and who would win the whole entire thing: it's a toss-up between Strong, Lethal, Steen, Elgin, and London. 

1. I would really like to see Paul London go one-on-one against Michael Elgin since they've haven't got the chance since London was injured at Border Wars in his match against Davey Richards.
2. Michael Elgin & Jay Lethal are considered two of the best ROH wrestlers to never hold the World title. Lethal also has a chance to become a triple crown champion (being that he held the ROH World TV & Pure titles).
3. I would really like to see Strong go to the top again. He's been in top-notch singles matches between Karl Anderson & Michael Elgin. It wouldn't hurt to see him become the second 2-time ROH World Champion (behind Aries).
4. Even though Kevin Steen's first reign will always be controversial and exciting. I would like to see him make it AT LEAST to the semi-finals.

I'm really looking forward to seeing some of these matches on Ring of Honor Wrestling television!

American Wolves to TNA or WWE?

There has been some talk from some wrestling sources that Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards, known collectively as The American Wolves are currently deciding between TNA and WWE. Their contracts with Ring of Honor are expected to be up August 1st and they become free agents. Not sure what road they're going to take, but I'm sure that it would be good for both of them

1. WWE: If they were to go to WWE, they would have to go through the developmental territory. Why? Because it wouldn't be fair for them to jump to the main roster when other former ROH wrestlers such as Kassius Ohno (Chris Hero) & Sami Zayn (El Generico), who have been there longer and have been waiting for their time for the jump to be passed over by the American Wolves. I would personally love to see them in WWE, because WWE's tag team division is suffering badly.
2. TNA: Although TNA has a developmental territory (OVW), they may or may not bump them up to the main roster. Just like WWE, TNA also has a suffering tag team division. And I remember when they had Beer Money, Team 3D, Gen. Me, Ink INC, Mexican America, etc. If they were to be entered into their tag team division, it would bring some light as well, But, with all the financial problems that TNA has, they would likely choose WWE.
