WWE Friday Night Smackdown Results for October 10th, 2014

Stephanie McMahon shows up to start the show. After a WWE Network plug, John Laurinaitis, the former General Manager of both Raw and SmackDown, shows up. Before he can do much of anything, Teddy Long shows up. John Laurinaitis makes a tag team match, and along with Teddy Long, it eventually becomes a 15-man tag match. Tito Santana is mentioned as one of the participants, but Stephanie says he isn't even in the building tonight. Stephanie McMahon then makes it a Team Teddy (Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Mark Henry, Diego, Fernando, Sheamus, Jack Swagger, El Torito) vs. Team Johnny (Titus O'Neil, Heath Slater, Bo Dallas, Goldust, Stardust, Damien Mizdow, Cesaro, Mini-Gator) match where the winning team dictates who is the greatest SmackDown GM of all time. She also announces a Miz TV for later tonight, where Dean Ambrose and John Cena have a face-to-face meeting. Adam Rose and the Exotic Express show up after this announcement, and announce it's party time. Stephanie McMahon strangely agrees...by putting Adam Rose in a match against Kane...and it's next.

We revisit the first ever SmackDown.

Kane beats Adam Rose, giving Rose his first ever loss. After the match, the Exotic Express check on Rose only to be attacked by Kane. A few Rosebuds take bullets - or in this case, choke slams - for The Bunny so he can escape Kane's wrath.

We revisit John Cena's WWE debut on SmackDown in 2002.

AJ Lee beats Alicia Fox with the Black Widow, then successfully fights off Alicia Fox and Paige at the same time.

Seth Rollins beats Kofi Kingston.

We revisit the Money In The Bank cash-ins of Edge in 2007 and Jack Swagger in 2010.

Rusev beats Dolph Ziggler with the Accolade. After the match, Lana and Rusev say that The Rock and Big Show will pay for their regressions, and Rusev challenges Show to a match at Raw.

We revisit the grocery store brawl between "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Booker T.

Last Monday after Raw, The Rock met Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. After a trip down memory lane, The Rock and Triple H after Rock says they should go one more time, and Triple H is interested, but then both men are self-aware that they're in each other's faces at this point and slowly back away before arguing again. Stephanie McMahon tries to break it up so they all get something to eat, but The Rock makes it even more awkward by telling Triple H to foot the bill.

Tom Phillips falls victim to the flying 15th anniversary cake.

Booker T guests on commentary for the next match.

Team Teddy (Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Mark Henry, Diego, Fernando, Sheamus, Jack Swagger, El Torito) beats Team Johnny (Titus O'Neil, Heath Slater, Bo Dallas, Goldust, Stardust, Damien Mizdow, Cesaro, Mini-Gator).

We revisit the September 13, 2001 episode, the first episode and the first public assembly of its size since the September 11th attacks.

It's Miz TV! The Miz's guests tonight are John Cena and Dean Ambrose. Before they're called out, it is announced that Cena vs. Ambrose at Hell in a Cell will be a No-Holds-Barred Contract on a Pole match, and Cena heads into the crowd to give a shirt to a Make-A-Wish Kid. Ambrose says he DDT'd Cena to put him in his place and keep him from stealing Seth Rollins from him. Cena isn't even surprised, and knows that come Hell in a Cell, Ambrose will show he has balls. He tells Ambrose to bring his A-game that night. John Cena walks away, but The Miz is ticked because there is no brawl. The Miz gets one, all right. Ambrose and Cena beat up Miz, and Cena lets Ambrose hit Miz with the DDT before Cena hits the Attitude Adjustment on Ambrose. As John Cena sits in one of the two chairs at the end of the show, it is revealed that Seth Rollins was watching all of this from the back.
