Underground Sound - Lucha Underground recap for July 22, 2015

Dario Cueto talks with Big Ryck in his office, and tells him he had big plans in the temple until he lost focus. Dario now wants him back in the spotlight, and he wants him to get back in there with one of the Aztec Medallions, which he offers him. Cueto asks him if he wants money or power. Big Ryck tells him "Why choose when I can have both?" Not surprisingly, he gets both.

Texano beats Johnny Mundo by disqualification after interference by The Crew (Mr. Cisco and Cortex Castro). Alberto El Patron shows up and destroys everyone, then Texano hits whoever is laying with the bullwhip. Alberto and Texano almost confront one another due to their past feud, but Alberto El Patron walks away.

Hernandez is in Dario Cueto's office. Cueto is making Ultima Lucha two weeks long and Hernandez vs. Drago will be a Believer's Backlash match, where the strap is held by one of the fan and whoever finds the person who has it gets to use it.

The Mack quickly beats Cage. After the match, Cage and Mack brawl, and security officials also get beat up and tossed around as the fight almost spills into the back. Dario Cueto shows up and makes a Falls Count Anywhere between them with weapons around the ring as he announces that Ultima Lucha starts a week early. He also prepares to announce what the Aztec Medallions are for.

Dario Cueto tells everyone that the seven Aztec Medallions make up The Gift of the Gods: a championship belt that grants the holder a shot at the Lucha Underground Championship whenever they want, with a catch: you have to give one week's notice in order for the match to be promoted. Once the title is cashed in, the Aztec Medallions are removed and re-distributed, and the fight for power begins again. Cueto sets up a seven-way match between all those who have earned Aztec Medallions, whom he calls to the ring. Jack Evans, Aerostar, King Cuerno, Sexy Star, Bengala and Big Ryck (who was given an Aztec Medallion by Cueto) show up. They place their medallions into the belt to secure their spot in the match for the title, but there is one problem: Mil Muertes destroyed Fenix. Cueto puts Fenix's medallion back up for grabs, when Fenix suddenly shows up. He puts Fenix in a battle royal for the Aztec Medallion he earned...and that battle royal is next

Fenix wins a battle royal to regain the Aztec Medallion he initially earned before being taken down by Mil Muertes.

Prince Puma, now in a black mask, shows up to speak, but before he can do that, Mil Muertes and Catrina appear. Puma drops the microphone and lays down the belt, and tells Mil Muertes to come and get it. As he does, The Disciples of Death (Barrio Negro, El Siniestro de la Muerte and Terce) show up to attack Puma, but Puma strikes back and lays them all out to send a message to Mil Muertes. Mil Muertes then gets in the ring and the two of them brawl, but Prince Puma easily overpowers Mil Muertes.

Here are the highlights for tonight's show!

Drake almost hits him with the broken crutch, but Galloway is almost able to hit the Future Shock DDT before Drake is able to retreat.

Christy Hemme is about to advertise BBQ Pit Wars on Destination America when The Dollhouse (Taryn Terrell, Jade, Marti Bell) wreck everything. Taryn Terrell threatens to lock herself in the cage until she gets the TNA Knockouts Championship back. Brooke shows up, tells them they brought all this on themselves, and says that this is her house and not The Dollhouse. Taryn says she's untouchable, and Brooke says that if she wants the title back, she can come and get it. Taryn decides to do just that, but then the lights go out. When they come back on, Gail Kim is in the cage with Jade and Marti Bell, and Taryn is locked out. As Gail Kim beats up Jade and Marti, Brooke chases after Taryn only for Taryn to retreat.
