Underground Sound - Lucha Underground recap for July 1, 2015

Dario Cueto has Chavo Guerrero in his office. He praises him for "ending the legacy of Blue Demon". Cueto makes a deal with Chavo, since he gave him the remaining members of The Crew (Mr. Cisco & Cortez Castro)... and Chavo accomplished the mission of capturing Black Lotus. Chavo looks concerned about this, but Cueto awards him by giving him Prince Puma tonight. No Disqualification, you ask? Anything for Chavo...

Texano beats Delvar Daivari.

Prince Puma is training in the locker room, when Konnan gives Puma some words of encouragement, and to not to worry about Chavo. The latter has a long history with Chavo, and he is very familiar with his "lying, cheating and stealing" ways. Suddenly, the lights dim and Catrina appears, and says that Puma will need to afraid, since Mil Muertes will take his title. The number one contender shows up and has a deathly staredown with the champion before he and Catrina vanish.

Konnan is talking to someone in the locker room, and says that he will no longer be held down by Dario Cueto's obvious abuse of authority, and that Mexico shall finally take a stand...

Drago beats Hernandez via disqualification when the latter violently jacks a belt from a fan in the audience and uses it to choke out Drago. Afterwards, he grabs the mic and says that we all should know that dragons are not real.

As Chavo Guerrero is mentally preparing himself for his title match, the lights dim and Catrina appears once again to deliver her sultry speech of Mil Muertes becoming the Lucha Underground Champion at Ultima Lucha. Suddenly Mil Muertes appears and roars in rage.

Alberto El Patron quickly beats Marty "The Moth" Martinez with the cross armbreaker. Alberto grabs the mic and says that Johnny Mundo putting him through the window was the biggest mistake that Mundo could have made. He vows to take revenge for damaging the face that "his mother gave him" and rip his own face off, and says that Mundo's first mistake as his last.

Before the main event, ring announcer Melissa Santos states that if Konnan interferes in the title match, Chavo Guerrero will automatically become champion.

Prince Puma beats Chavo Guerrero to retain the Lucha Underground Championship, thanks to a surprise assist from Texano. After the match, Texano grabs the mic and says that Mexico is here and  that they are coming for Chavo!

Chavo Guerrero is in the locker room tending to his torn hamstring when Blue Demon Jr. shows up. Chavo insults Blue Demon, saying that people are cheering for Texano more than they are cheering for him. Blue Demon Jr. pins Chavo to the wall and insists he is Mexico and not Texano. After Blue Demon lets him go and leaves the room, Chavo smiles, as if this is all part of a plan.
