I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! I'm kicking my blog back into gear by beginning with the results to Elimination Chamber! Results courtesy of my good friend, Prince Watercress!
Rusev is confirmed as out and unable to compete tonight after suffering an ankle injury in his match with Ryback last Thursday on SmackDown.
Kane tells The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) that all three of them will be in the Elimination Chamber Tag Team Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Xavier Woods almost ruins it for them when he asks for a bigger pod so they can all fit, as Kane tells them that they can go first or second so it's not a problem. Big E covers Xavier's mouth, and Kofi says "Don't worry, we'll fit."
Tamina and Brie Bella are officially barred from ringside in the Triple Threat Divas Championship match.
Stardust beats Zack Ryder with a new finisher, the Queen's Crossbow (which is really the Cross Rhodes).
Tom Phillips interviews Lana for #AskLana. She says she has genuine interest in Dolph Ziggler, and that she is being less judgmental after what she did during her time with Rusev. As for leaving Rusev, she says it's bittersweet but she chooses to be free and happy.
Summer Rae introduces The Miz, who has returned to host a special edition of Miz TV. Tonight's guest is Daniel Bryan. D-Bry says he'll be back when Miz says his career is over and that he feels like the victim. D-Bry also says he's been writing a book, and Miz then tells D-Bry to make himself a cash cow. D-Bry responds by telling Miz to shut up and says he's here to present the Intercontinental title to whoever wins it tonight. Miz tells D-Bry he should be lucky he can't touch him, and that D-Bry should listen to him, but Daniel Bryan counters by saying that Miz TV is boring. Luckily, he has an idea to liven it up...Macho Mandow and Curtis Axel, the latter now known as Axelmania. Axelmania and Macho Mandow run wild on Miz, and Axelmania, Mandow and Daniel Bryan do a group crowd appeal afterward.
Eden Stiles interviews Dean Ambrose. Tonight, Ambrose has nothing to lose and everything to gain, and he plans to punch Seth Rollins in the face. Roman Reigns shows up and tells Ambrose he's in his corner tonight, so all he has to worry about is Rollins.
JBL gets us up to speed on how an Elimination Chamber match goes before the event starts.
The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) retains the WWE Tag Team Championships against Los Matadores (Fernando and Diego), The Lucha Dragons (Sin Cara and Kalisto), The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor), Tyson Kidd and Cesaro and The Prime Time Players (Darren Young and Titus O'Neil) in the first ever Tag Team Elimination Chamber match.
Lana greets Dolph Ziggler backstage, and tells him it's all about him tonight. Ziggler hopes that soon, it'll be all about them.
Nikki Bella retains the WWE Divas Championship against Naomi and Paige.
In what is probably the biggest shocker this year since Seth Rollins won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Kevin Owens beats John Cena in a Champion vs. Champion match. After the match, Kevin Owens tells the WWE Universe that he started a fight with Cena and that he finished it, then gives Cena veteran advice: it's time for him to go, as his time is gone and Owens' time is now, and that the real champ is here.
Before the next match, Bo Dallas tells Neville that all he wanted to do was help, but he denied him. Now, he plans to force him to Bolieve.
Neville beats Bo Dallas.
Triple H tells Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose that if Reigns gets involved in Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins, Ambrose will get disqualified.
Mark Henry replaces Rusev in the Intercontinental Championship Elimination Chamber Match.
Ryback beats King Barrett, R-Truth, Mark Henry, Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus to win the vacant WWE Intercontinental Championship! During the match, Sheamus' pod door won't open, but it's all a trick as Sheamus removes his Celtic cross necklace from the door to open it, revealing that it was a trick to help him buy some time as well as a way to keep the pod door ajar so he can use it as a shield just in case. After the match, Daniel Bryan and the WWE Universe agree that Ryback deserves it, and Daniel Bryan awards him the title. Ryback thanks Daniel Bryan, calling him an inspiration.
In two weeks at Money In The Bank, Kevin Owens and John Cena will have a rematch! Also, Dolph Ziggler, Neville, Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston and Sheamus will face off in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match!
Despite Dean Ambrose wiping out both Seth Rollins and the referee with a top rope manuever, another referee shows up and makes the three-count just in time, and Dean Ambrose beats Seth Rollins to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship...almost. The first referee is back up after the match and explains that he got hit because Rollins pushed him in front of Ambrose. Dean Ambrose still wins, but it is by disqualification and Seth Rollins still retains. Ambrose isn't okay with this, and almost falls victim to the numbers game of Kane, Rollins and J&J Security (Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble) when Roman Reigns arrives. In the end, Ambrose takes the title with him, and he and Reigns leave through the WWE Universe.
