Triple H enters the ring to start the show. He wastes little time in calling Seth Rollins and Kane out to the ring. Rollins shows up, and says he wants to function at the top of his game but can't because of Kane's recent actions. As he keeps talking trash about Kane, Kane eventually shows up, and both he and Rollins argue. Triple H shuts them both up, and thinks that Kane may not be neccessary as Director of Operations anymore. Kane's silence tells HHH he doesn't want that, so HHH decides to make him more invested in the Fatal Four-Way by putting all four of its competitors in matches tonight. Kane is pitted against Roman Reigns, while Rollins is pitted against Randy Orton. Jamie Noble mouths off at Triple H for this, and Triple H responds by making fun of his height as he pits Noble and Joey Mercury against Dean Ambrose in a handicap match...and that match is next.

Daniel Bryan shows up. He admits that there has been some downtime in the last few weeks where he's seen doctor after doctor. After talking about how he was stripped of the World Heavyweight title, he goes into why he showed up. He had an MRI last week, and he may be out for weeks or months. Therefore, he is relinquishing the WWE Intercontinental Championship, saying it belongs in the ring and not in a physical therapist's chair. He thanks the fans before leaving the championship in the ring.
