The show started with  shocking news that Hiroyoshi Tezan and Hiroki Goto were both pulled from the tournament with only 3 days to go! Tezan injured his ribs following a flying clothesline from Naito. Goto's shoulder injury is a little less known, but it was probabl;y suffered during his match against Hiroshi Tanahashi.
