Beginning his career in 2004 on the budding independent curcuit, he wrestled for the Heartland Wrestling Association, winning their heavyweight title 3 times and their tag team title 5 times with various partners. Since then, he has developed an outspoken and demented persona that will forever be known as "The Street Dog" Jon Moxley. He has had infamous rivalries with the Knaptown Dragons, Jimmy Jacobs, Egotistico Fantastico, Nick F'N Gage, Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan in WWE), Austin Aries, and various others. He's also remembered for teaming with Sami Callihan as the Switchblade Conspiracy.
Here are some infamous promos cut by Jon Moxley, including this two part compilation:

This is the picture that showed that ALL his work has paid off (below).
So, you see? Just because someone's living environment or how their parent(s) put food on the table wasn't good (or didn't live up to others' definition of good), doesn't mean that they won't make it in life, it just means that they just have to work harder than most people to prove their selves and that's exactly what Ambrose did.
I bet he looks back on his early days and looks at himself in the mirror and says "Wow, I really did this, even though I never thought I would.". God Bless, Ambrose!
