PREMIERE: Lucha Underground recap for January 27, 2016

We begin Season Two with Vampiro in the Youssef Clinic. He is being evaluated, and he is asked about the happenings in his life over the past six months. Vampiro says that all his nightmares and treasons are gone, although the flashbacks remain. His therapist prescribes him with treatment, and tells him to avoid the triggers. With this, Vampiro dreams of unleashing an attack on the employees.

In the desert, Matt Striker and Vampiro meet up. Vampiro reveals a shiny new car. When asked about his job, Striker says that they still have their jobs, but the temple is now a much darker place.

Catrina, who is seemingly taking on the proprietary role, is in Dario Cueto's office. Fenix walks in, and says that he wants another shot at Mil Muertes. Catrina's says that he will have to wait until next week, that's IF he still holds the Gift if the Gods title.

King Cuerno beats Fenix to win the Gift if the Gods Championship.

Son of Havoc, Ivelisse and Angelico arrive at the temple!

As Team Havoc enter the temple, they are met by Catrina. Ivelisse wants another shot at the title, but Catrina objects. Instead, Mil Muertes wants the trio in a match...against each other, where the winner will face Mil Muertes for the title. Ivelisse boasts about winning the title, and vows to come for her.

Catrina walks to ringside and whispers instructions in Melissa Santos's ear before the next match.

Catrina congratulates Cuerno on his title win, and tells him to not forget about their deal. Cuerno says no worries, and vows to stick by his promise.

Ivelisse beats Son of Havoc and Angelico to become #1 contender for the Lucha Underground Championship!

Three dudes (saying this in spite) are on a road trip, assuming to the temple. Unsure of themselves, Black Lotus appears out of the blue to help them with directions, but the three me n turned her down.

Mil Muertes beats Ivelisse to retain the Lucha Underground Championship. Afterwards, Catrina does the "Lick if Death" and motions for Mil to finish her off. Suddenly, Prince Puma runs in for the save on Ivelisse. Pentagon Jr emerges from on the back and hits a backbreaker on Mil Muertes and his trademark armbar.

Black Lotus and the three men show up to a building. Dario Cueto emerges and welcome them in...with pay first. They men pay $20 each, and enter into the building, only to get mimed and destroyed by who sounds like...Matanza (Cueto's brother)!
