John Cena retains the WWE United States Championship against Bad News Barrett. After the match, Rusev's music plays, but only Lana comes out, who confronts Cena about Rusev's U.S. Title rematch. Suddenly, Rusev ambushes Cena from behind with a steel chain. Lana then announces that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon has made Rusev's rematch clause at Extreme Rules now a Russian Chain Match!
Next week, Triple H will make an announcement concerning WWE Tough Enough, which is poised to return to television this summer.
The Bella Twins (Brie and Nikki Bella) guest on commentary for the next match.
Paige wins a Divas Battle Royal to become #1 contender for the WWE Divas Championship at Extreme Rules.
Byron Saxton interviews Paige, who is proud of winning the battle royal in her home country, and proud of the tireless effort she's made to get to the WWE. Out of nowhere, Naomi attacks Paige, losing it after she was the last one eliminated from the battle royal.
We get another cryptic message from Bray Wyatt.
The Lucha Dragons (Sin Cara & Kalisto) beats The Ascension (Konnor & Viktor).
Booker T interviews Roman Reigns in the ring. Once again, Roman talks about how close he came to winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. When asked about Big Show screwing him out of another title shot, Roman calls Show "[Seth Rollins'] giant bitch." Show shows up on the TitanTron and brags about his recent accomplishments and how he enjoys keeping him down, and that he's going to make Roman an epic failure. Roman tells Show that if he continues to get in his business, he plans to retire him by shoving his Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy down his throat. As Reigns leaves, Big Show comes out from the back and immediately demolishes Reigns, choke slamming him on the big black taxicab that serves as a prop during WWE's United Kingdom televised events and slamming him into the doors. (During the break, medical staff try to help Reigns, who refuses medical help, gets off of the top of the car and heads to the back under his own power.)
Randy Orton beats Cesaro via disqualification when Tyson Kidd interferes. Kane comes out and says that he's in charge tonight. Since he refuses to let the match end in a DQ, he restarts the match, this time making it a 2-on-1 Handicap Match, and if Orton wins, he gets to set a stipulation for his match against Seth Rollins at Extreme Rules (unless Rollins wins his match against Dolph Ziggler later tonight).
Randy Orton beats Tyson Kidd and Cesaro.
Kane and Seth Rollins talk backstage. If Rollins beats Dolph Ziggler, he gets to pick a stipulation, too. Rollins doesn't want to face Ziggler, and makes Jamie Noble his opponent so that Jamie will lay down for him. Jamie reminds Kane that the current situation is all on him, and threatens to do something to him that involves a car battery and his testicles. Rollins has a better idea: him vs. Kane to protect him and his title. Kane, knowing he's backed into a corner when Rollins threatens to get Triple H on the horn, walks away silently.
Dean Ambrose beats Adam Rose.
Big Show talks to Kane backstage, telling him to do what needs to be done concerning Seth Rollins. Kane assures him he will.
Stardust quickly beats Fandango. After the match, Fandango realizes that the problem is that he's sharing is dance moves with just Rosa Mendes, and not with the entire world. With this, Fandango dumps Rosa, jumps onto the announce table and brings back "Fandangoing".
Daniel Bryan talks to Kane backstage, telling him he's not the Kane he once knew. This angers Kane, and Daniel tells him that if he had any guts, he'd be a man and not a stooge when he got in the ring with Seth Rollins.
This Thursday on SmackDown, John Cena holds another open challenge for the WWE United States Championship and responds to Rusev's Russian Chain Match stipulation for their US title rematch at Extreme Rules.
Damien Mizodw, who now has Summer Rae at his side, beats The Miz with a quick roll-up.
The Prime Time Players (Titus O'Neil & Darren Young) continue their mockery of WWE's tag team division, this time it's Los Matadores (Fernando, Diego and El Torito).
Ryback beats Luke Harper via disqualification when the latter rams Ryback's head into the announce table. Dean Ambrose, who's looking to gain retribution against Luke Harper, goes after him... and Harper makes a run for it.
Bryon Saxton interviews Naomi, who is ticked that she's been passed up for opportunities at the Divas title after having recently beaten Nikki Bella twice. She is tired of having her kindness taken for weakness, and she's not waiting for another chance at the title... she's gonna take it.
Dolph Ziggler criticizes Kane for laying down for Seth Rollins and decides to take a page out of John Cena's book and issues an open challenge. Neville answers.
Dolph Ziggler beats Neville in a short, but incredible match. Sheamus attacks both Ziggler and Neville after the match. Ziggler comes back, taking the fight to the outside of the ring, only to be Brogue Kicked by Sheamus.
This Thursday on SmackDown, Big Show will explain his actions towards Roman Reigns earlier tonight.
Seth Rollins and J&J Security (Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury) show up to a ring with a black canvas and black leather chairs. After defending Kane's actions from earlier tonight, he is about to mention his stipulation for his match against Randy Orton when he calls out Orton. Orton shows up. After some talk, Rollins announces his stipulation: the RKO is banned. Orton then announces his stipulation: a steel cage match. He then topples the recliner that Rollins is sitting in and then fights off J&J Security before attacking Rollins, who then retreats to end the show.
